True comfort and excellent animal spottings
Our group of four people from Finland took part into a 3 day joining safari at Masai Mara in January 2017. The experience was wonderful, our driver knew all the best spots to see the animals, accommodation was good and all the arrangements were smooth and fast. It was a trip worth every penny of the very reasonable price!

Best safari company with the best driver
Footslopes company respond to every email really fast, they listened to out wishes and they organized the best safari! We had the best driver Hilary - he's funny, he jokes a lot but also he knows a lot of stuff about animals and knows where to find them. We saw 3 huntings in 4 day safari, a big migration and a lot of baby animals, all thanks to Hilary. All camps were perfectly fine and the food was delicious.

The journey of our lives.
Our trip started a year ago. We wanted to go on safari in januari 2017 with our family as a celebration for our 35 years of marriage. On the internet I came in contact with Desiree de Ridder. I explained what we thought we wanted and she planned the whole safari and the time in Zanizibar. I must say she did iT the perfectly.
IT was beyond our expectations. The safari Tour was Every day different, because of the different Parks, accomodations. The service was outstanding. We had to guides, drivers Fay and Steward. The told us a lot About the wildlife, Masai , nature. The have done everything to make our journey onforgettable.
After the safari we went to Zanzibar. We visites Stone Town very impressie and Desiree booked US in the Coffehouse. A perfect hotel with great service and with a nice roofterrace to have your breakfast.
The day after we went to Mwezi boutique resort. On the wat we had a spicetour, which was very educational. We bought spices there. The Mwezi boutique Resort is fantastic, your own Beach house, view on the sea and beach. A perfect place to enjoy the last days of your holiday. Desiree, Fay and Steward Thanks a lot for the special trip.

Great experience
We had a great trip with Wildside Kenya Safaris. The guide George was very knowledgeable and you noticed he new the park very very well. Apart from that he's a very skillful driver. Johnson is a great guy and very happy to accomodate for different itineraries and customize any itinerary you may have found on their website.

Out of this World Honeymoon
Rose and her team organised the most incredible Honeymoon for us, a holiday we will never forget. Two nights at Giraffe Manor , 4 nights at Cottars Safari Camp and 6 nights relaxing at Msambweni Beach House.
We flow into Nairobi and spent the first two nights at the amazing Giraffe Manor. To be able to feed the giraffe and have breakfast with them each morning and watch them throughout the day was an experience we never thought we would have. In the afternoon we went to the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage where we adopted a baby elephant and were able to spend time with them and learn all about the Orphanage and the elephants.
Next onto Cottars Safari Camp which words can not describe how beautiful and wonderful the place and people who work there are. It is a must go to. The safari drives were incredible and we were lucky to see all of the big five with our guide Ken. We also did a night drive, a dinner in the bush, had canvas baths overlooking the Masai Mara, massages, ate far to much and even fished with the Masai Tribe. I genuinely had tears in my eyes when we left the camp.
Luckily it was not all over and we flow to the coast for 6 nights relaxation at Msambweni beach house. We had a private villa with an infinity pool overlooking the sea. We went to the beach everyday, ate delicious food, lots of fresh fish and fruit, massages again, sunbathed and swam in the pool. It was a seriously relaxing and stunning 6 days and again the team at the house were brilliant always there for anything we needed.
It really was an out of this world holiday, a Luxury Safari holiday and I would recommend The Luxury Safari Company to anyone, you will have your dream holiday. We are already planning our next trip through and can’t thank them enough.

Do not use Bramwel Safaris
In 2016 I planned a trip to Tanzania with the Tour Operator Bramwel Adventure Safaris. I purchased a tour for two people for ten days (four days at Monte Meru and six days of Safari). I paid 3200 USD in advance in July 2016; the price included a guide, accommodation, food, and park fees. On 9th September we arrived in Tanzania where we spent the night in Arusha, and on the 10th we left for Monte Meru. While on the trip the manager of Bramwel Adventure Safaris, William Almon phoned our guide to let him know that he had had a problem with his credit card and asking whether I could rather use mine to pay the fee to enter the National Park at Arusha. He reassured me that he would have refunded me with a bank transfer, since I had already paid everything in advance. In total I paid 595,90 USD.
I went back to Italy on 19th September 2016 and, since then, I have several times written to William Almon asking for my refund. With various justifications he delayed it, though he never denied that he owed me the money. I sent him my last request on 28th December and, once again, William Almon promised that I would have promptly received my refund, but, once again, I have received nothing.

A holiday in Botswana and Cape Town to rave about
The best thing I did for our safari was ... to work with Kathi Simon! I have not used a tour operator for any holiday for more than a decade and thought I could organise our safari on my own. After spending hours late into the night researching online, struggling with flight connections and even contacting game lodges directly, I made the wise decision to go with Kathi, who was recommended by a friend.
Kathi's brief was not an easy one - a short trip of (only) 2 nights in Cape Town and 5 days on safari; first-timers on safari who wanted to see everything; budget constraints. She tackled all this in a professional manner, and even saved us money! Kathi was always patient and prompt with all my questions, nudging me gently in the appropriate direction in my planning, making great suggestions and reassuring me about my choices, all based on her vast experience and insight.
Our guide Rhys had the unenviable task of fulfilling our wish list for our single day in Cape Town.....which he more than delivered. Using his immense local knowledge (of traffic, especially!), Rhys made tweaks to our initial plan, packed our day in, and has whetted our desire to return to Cape Town.
Camp Kalahari exceeded all our expectations - it set the mark so high (as our first safari destination) that we wondered what Machaba Camp could offer, as an ‘upgrade’ to Camp Kalahari. Machaba Camp was newer and larger in all aspects, yet the hospitality and warmth of the staff still shone through. Food at Machaba Camp was great, but Camp Kalahari was even better.
The animals turned up in force during the green season. The Makgadikgadi salt pans had loads of zebra, their resident meerkats, lions etc etc, while Khwai River had hippos, elephants, lions, impala, lechwe etc etc. A leopard sighting appeared elusive, but Mmatsebe and her near-adult cub finally turned up..... up in a tree with an impala, in our last hour there! Lionesses 'visited' during our sundowner and got mock-charged by hippos. Our vehicle got stuck in an aardvark hole while off-roading tracking a lion, and separately, we got stuck in (yet) another hole and needed a tow, while surrounded by wild dogs and hyenas at a zebra kill. All this was amazing, but learning from and watching our guides Jonah and Kitso do the job they love, with skill and sensitivity to the environment, made for an unforgettable trip.
Can't wait to return to Africa, and when we do, I will start off by contacting Kathi at African Welcome Safaris! A well-deserved 5 stars!
