A great safari with an excellent guide!
5/5

Simon Juma proved an excellent guide with his driving, wildlife-spotting, and English skills; but what really set him apart was his extensive knowledge of animal behavior and wildlife. You could tell he really has a passion for learning about animals and sharing that knowledge.

The facilities provided by Kili Slopes -- the land cruiser, tents, sleeping bags, foodstuffs -- were all in good working order. The campsites selected were particularly fun! In the Serengeti, we had buffalo and then lions on the edges of the campsite. In the Ngorongoro area, there were a dozen wildebeest upon our arrival and you could see into the crater from the campsite. (I should probably add here that even with the animal life so close to the tents, we always felt safe.)

The wildlife we saw was beyond amazing: all of the big 5, a cheetah hunting and killing a Thompson gazelle, part of the great wildebeest migration, and two families of lions. But these were just the highlights.

All in all a great experience, well-organized by Kili Slopes. I would highly recommend both the company and the guide Simon Juma.

Excellent trip with Peter and Tony
5/5

We have had an excellent tour, perfect. All the guides were friendly and have great experience about guiding and supporting.
We have seen 4 of the "Big five" and the parcs were very interesting.
Just one issue, somtimes the driving time was too long. But at the end great adventure.
Thank you very much

Maasai Wanderings - excellent from start to finish.
5/5

I was with a group of 10 -Team Lammergeier- who recently climbed , Kili and followed up with a short safari.
I honestly believe that the 8 of us who made it to the summit, did so because we were so well looked after by the Maasai Wanderings guides and porters. They were just extraordinary- so hard working, dedicated and most of all, kind. The food was excellent and plentiful. The organisation superb. They have a sixth sense about how each person is feeling and fairing at any given point- and I always felt that my wellbeing was their number 1 priority. I can't thank Holson, Bahati, Gerald, Hezron and Emile and all the mgumu enough... for the experience of a lifetime. 'Mama' will never forget them!
Also, Issa who was our Safari driver and guide was excellent.
No need to look further. I would recommend Maasai Wanderings to anyone travelling to Tanzania.

Excellent Safari tour with Makasa
5/5

It was our first safari and was simply unforgettable.
We planned the trip 2 months ahead, which was quite rush I would say. Yet Selma answered the emails promptly and in great patience. We soon arrived on a plan that suited our needs. In the end, the lodge, the service as well as the food were all excellent. We visited Tarangire NP, Lake Manyara NP, Serengeti NP and Ngorongoro CA. We also joined a coffee tour where we learned about local farmers' life. We had a short visit to Masaai home in Ngorongoro CA.
And special thanks to our guide, King, who had eagle eyes. He leaded us to see hidden animals and to anticipate breathtaking predator hunts. He was also a careful driver and a caring brother of us.

Very efficient.
4/5

We have booked with damma tours on numerous occassions, and find the service great.
David and his office staff are very polite and friendly.
All aspects of our safaris have ran smoothly and problem free.
Our driver/guide has always been courteous and patient. I always ask for puis. He is an excellent safe driver.
We always go to davids office to meet him and book once we are in diani.
David will always negotiate a very good price for you.
Our last safari was to Masai masa. Flight..2nts governors. Around £600 pp.which is half you would pay if
Booked in the uk.
David will go out of his way to get you exactly what you want.
So please don't believe the negative comments, try for yourself.
We have been staying at papillon lagoon reef hotel every year 17 years sometimes twice yearly.
And always go to David. He does employ some people on the beach, but if your not comfortable with them,go to his office,he will even send a free taxi to fetch you from your hotel and back.
Can't wait to return again this year.

Perfect guiding and accomodations. Wonderful introduction to Africa
5/5

Tembo Adventures is a locally owned and operated Tanzanian safari guiding company. Their contacts within the local community provided closer connections with the many other local people and staff we met along the way. We wanted to see animals of course, but we also wanted to meet people and become acquainted with Tanzanian culture, history, and current times. If you want to go on safari with a local - Tembo Adventures is your company! (Most other guiding choices are actually owned operated by ex-pats, and often headquartered outside of Tanzania. So Tembo is very unique in this way.)

Tembo Adventures were very easy to deal with. They answered numerous questions as we arranged the trip - including changes about where to stay. And the places they recommended were all excellent: the hotel in Arusha, Lodge at Ngoragora, tent camp at Ndutu, and the magnificent Kubu Kubu "tented" Lodge at the Serengeti. Tembo handled all the internal arrangements very efficiently - there were no hitches or problems at all. Tembo also helped us with arrangements not related to the safari as we did some additional travelling to Zanzibar.

Our guide Sevrin was an excellent guide. We didn't come with a list of animals to see, but ended up seeing the Big Five and at least fifty more - all up close, walking by our parked car: lions, cheetahs, leopard, black rhino, elephants, hippos, giraffes, flamingos, and herds of zebra, wildebeest, gazelles, antelopes, and buffalo. Severin also has a good eye and always found the perfect angle for photographing. We also enjoyed talking with Severin about Tanzania's history and current times. Climate change, and economic and political issues are on all our minds.

We are English speakers and found all the staff at Tembo very easy to communicate with (as well as all the staff we met along the way). Written English was sometimes a little tricky, but not a problem. For example, the final written itinerary was very clear as to what was being provided at what cost - and what was not covered. And all the terms were fully met.

We highly recommend Tembo Adventures.

Friendly, reliable, good value for money!
5/5

We went with our two teenage daughter with Juma for 4 days to Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorogoro. It was really fantastic! I think it was very good value for money. The communication with Gabriel at the office was very clear and smooth. Very very friendly. There was really nothing that disappointed us. Don't hesitate and book this trip, I think it is the best you can get for this money. Camping is basic but they all are! You are all together with all the other operators at the camp site. We saw all the animals, even a hyena from very close (arount the tent :-)) Good luck to you! Sandra, Frank and girls.

Once in a lifetime experience
5/5

We had an utterly amazing safari experience with E-Trip Africa in the Serengeti. We traveled with two children, ages 4 and 7, and my parents, who were in Africa for the first time. We had previously done safaris in Uganda, Kruger in South Africa and Akagera in Rwanda. Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater blew our minds and was worth the time and the expense. We were fortunate to see everything, including the Black Rhinos, and lots of baby lions, zebras, etc. While I realize seeing animals involves luck, especially when the rains are off their normal schedule, our guide expertly communicated with other guides and knew several common spots where the big five hang out from his past experience. Overall, I cannot recommend Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater enough for your safari. Lake Manyara is also a great stop when you are in the region.

E-Trip Africa went above and beyond at every point. Our kids are used to traveling and are good travelers, our guide Elisha was incredibly personable with them and with us. He had endless patience for the times they ran out of patience and had a number of fun games for them to play on our trip. The accommodations were lovely and the food was fantastic. We particularly loved the Karutu Simba Lodge, the Kiota Camp (the food was delicious for being in the middle of nowhere in the Serengeti) and the views of the Ngorongoro Sopa. I even left my watch at one of the hotels and E-Trip Africa worked with the lodge and through several logistical hoops to return the watch to me. I would recommend a trip with E-Trip Africa to anybody as they were truly fantastic.
