3 nights, 4 days in Kruger
5/5

Ryan has been simply as good as a tour guide can be.
He was punctual, extremely knowledgeable and willing to share his life experiences with us. His wide-ranging knowledge of animals and their ethology allowed us to learn quite a lot in such a short time.
He answered all the umpteenth questions we asked him kindly and fully even at 5 o'clock in the morning while sipping coffee and nibbling some rusks before the gate opened and we could head into the wild.
Unquestioningly, if in the future we have the chance to spend some more time in South Africa, he will be our guide.

Thank you!

I know it would be hard to convince new people to skip Kruger and do the smaller parks with highly skilled guides...but I might have been convinced if you had told me this.

Review about Balule Nature Reserve by Chris Conti

I don't remember the names of the parks. Kruger was the worst. Partly was not your fault; there was a strike on. But we spent most of the day (only one in Kruger) entering a less desireable gate then racing to get back to the one we were supposed to enter. So most of the day was at top speed, not comfortable and rushed. Hardly saw any animals. The guide was grouchy.

A good guide makes the difference. Some days were absolutely great!

4/5

We had two great guides, who were knowledgable, took the time to explain things, stopped when we wanted to, etc. And we had two guides that were quite terrible, pretty much making what could have been an excellent day, quite a frustrated one.
Please take the time to evaluate guides, train them, etc.

Overall our experience was quite good, with all the other apects of the trip.

Our Guide, Becker, was superb, meals , accommodation, Gorilla staff communication - all excellent!
5/5

Our tour exceeded all our expectations as we had lived in Kampala in the sixties, when things were generally chaotic. This recent adventure could not have been improved on. The pace of the trip was good and there were regular and interesting breaks for sightseeing and meals. All went without a hitch - despite the dreadful Kampala traffic!

Fantastic mother-daughter safari!
5/5

Our safari with Ernest and team was simply amazing! Our 4 day/3 day night safari brought us to Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and closed out with the amazing Ngorongoro Crater. Both before and during the trip, Ernest was very communicative and available to answer all of our questions. Our safari guide, Nahum, and cook, Paulo were very personable and attentive. Nahum had a wealth of knowledge about all the animals we saw (including the birds!) Whatever question we had for him, he always had a quick and thorough answer. Nahum was especially good at spotting the animals near and far that we never would've seen without him. We saw every possible animal imaginable - elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, gazelle, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, baboons, hyena, warthog. The list goes on! Paulo, our chef, prepared homemade meals for each meal of the day along with snacks. We much preferred that to the typical "safari lunch box" you often see. We had fresh fruit and vegetables every day. So delicious and healthy! We spent one night in a hotel in Karatu Town and two nights camping in the Serengeti. What an experience!! We could hear the lions roar at night and the hyenas laughing.

My daughter lived in Tanzania for over 2 years and went on quite a number of safaris but our trip with Ernest was unlike any other! It was truly the personal touches that Ernest and team put on our safari that made the trip an unforgettable, once in a life time experience.

Safaris did their upmost best to arrange our requests in a very short time, less than a month.
5/5

The communications were very fast. Every question had been answered within 24 hours.
The service was excellent. Almost every detail had been organized in a proper way.
We started our trip without specific expectations. We were very pleased abput the different stay's.
Nice Hotel in Tsitsikamma, an courteous Lodge in Oudtshoorn , a very luxury estate in Addo and a great B&B in Capetown. The safaris were courtious, especially those in Oudtshoorn in Tsitsikamma. The guides themselves loved it to show us their specialaties. The one in Addo was a lirtle bit more commercial, but the amount of different animals were really astonishing. We love it to come back to South Africa.

Excellent, go with Karim and have the best safari ever!
5/5

We were lucky to book with this company.  Karim,  our guide made this holiday one of the best. He was very professional,  exprienced,  kind, caring and informative . He was there for us any second we needed him and he did more than just the itinerary to make us completely happy and satisfied. I am British and my husband is German and I should admit that it is not easy to please us. He went the extra mile, above and beyond to fulfill all our wishes,  at the same time he always considered enough time for our relaxation.
He was very organised, excellent companion and had a great sense of humour.
If you are new to doing safari with tour, you might not know how vitall it is to have a great driver and guide . We can promise you that if you go with Karim, you will be in good hands and you will love every second of your holiday.  I am sure that this company has got lots of good guides, however we had the chance to be with one. I can say they all care about the clients and will support you all through your holiday.

Karim was very protective and we felt super safe with him. He was so unbelievably patient all through our journey. Always smiling,  engaging and entertaining us, even after long hours driving he was interested to give us a great surprise.  He stopped in the local market so we could buy fresh fruit, took us to the local school so we could give sweets to the children , took us to the best honey shop in the country, stopped to introduce local food and sometimes even during the transfer to show us a bird or tell us about the area.
He did so mamy things voluntary without even being on the list or asked, only to make us happy. He knew exactly what we wanted and how to give us the best service. We felt special in the accommodation, because he made sure on arrival that they look after us. We had unfortunately a bad experience in Tanzania with another tour operator. Karim even said sorry for the treatment we got from another tour operator in another company.  The point is how courtous and well mannered he is. Everyone says there is no guarantee to see all the animals,  although this is to some extent true, however 95 percent is the knowledge and the experience of the guide. Karim could read the body language of the animals and from the way they were looking or standing in a group,  he could spot lions and leopards.  He knew their hiding places and the way he patiently drove have us the opportunity to spot more. He cleaned the car every day and stopped in amazing spots so we could have lunch.
If only I knew home to Africa offers tours for all east African countries.  So you can trust them that they will look after you. If you need any videos or pictures text me please.  We did the 10 day private safari. One tip is most luxurious  tents are as good and sometimes better than lodges. One place you should not miss is lake Bunyonyi. People in Uganda are superlovely and you have tourism police for extra security of tourists every where even in some lodges. I have never felt so safe in any country.  I can't wait to go back and see the rest.
Thanks home to Africa
