Great experience with an amazing guide
5/5

We traveled for two weeks with David, our amazing guide! He was very able and experienced and he knew a lot to tell about Uganda. He also was a very good spotter, he spotted many animals from a big distance. We stayed in some beautiful accommodations on very surprising places. The combination between nature, culture and safaris was perfect. We would recommend Grassrootz to all our family and friends. We had an unforgettable trip!

Who cares about the agency, it's all the same
3/5

First of all, I'd like to say that any agency you book through (at least, in the "low prices agency") it's all the same : you will be put in a group with other people who will do exactly the same tour, but that will have book through another agency.

Good things about Spot Kenya Safari :
- was answering quickly
- good price
- give you the itinerary you want

Bad things :
- Told me that I could pay with American Express, and it was then not possible (once I was there !)
- Gave me a very expensive price (900 dollars for 6 days), that I had to bargain to arrive to 700 dollars. People travelling with me had a 680 dollars immediately, without bargaining through another agency.

Then the trip was very good, good driver, many places seen, good hotel ... but this does not depend from Spot Kenya Safari I guess, as the people I was travelling with were with another agency and had the same tour.

Very bad experience with this company
1/5

Very unhappy with Richard Kilonzo and his Safari company:
We booked a 7- day Safari with Richard Kilonzo. To start with, we arranged that somebody from his company would pick us up at the bus station and take us to our hotel; nobody came. Someone from the bus station that didn' t work for him took us to his office. The entrance to the office is embarrasing, full of mud and puddles. He showed himself very friendly the very first day. Not like that the last day when we came back from Safari, that hardly had time to speak to us.
We were supposed to spend a full day driving in Ngoron- goro crater, from 06.00 a.m. until late in the afternoon, as it was written in the planing that he had sent to us when booking the Safari.
Our surprise was that the night before going into the crater he told us that it was not possible to spend the whole day. We could only be inside the crater for 4 hours (from 06.00 until 10.00 a.m.) and then we had to go out of the Park. The problem was that he should have paid one more day fees for us (we were four people in the jeep) in the crater, but he did not. He told us that "laws have changed lately" and he could not do anything, so if we wanted to stay more time in the crater, we should pay the extra- charge. If you look in the Official Website of the Parks, since so many years, the entrance- fee is paid for a 24- hour stay; if you want to stay longer, you have to pay another entrance. He lied to us. So after all, we could not be in Ngoron- goro crater for longer, which is one of the best Parks in Tanzania.
Moreover, the last two nights we were supposed to sleep in Tarangire campsite. He tried to convince us to sleep everywhere else, telling me that in that campsite there was no water (I do not know why), but finally, after my insistence, we slept there.. with hot- water showers. The last day or the Safari we were supposed to have a morning- drive game in Tarangire before coming back to Arusha, and what we really did was to have breakfast in the campsite and inmediately come back to the city; no game driving our last day of Safari, as it was written in our initial planning. He told us that we didn' t ask for the driving that morning... Why have I to ask about something I have already paid and it was included in the Safari plan??
Another german couple came with us for 4 days in the Safari. Richard changed their plans almost everyday, even every 2-3 hours sometimes the planning changed...
I would not recommend at all this company for a Safari in Tanzania. You cannot trust this man absolutely. He sold us a Safari that we haven´ t really done. I strongly recommend every tourist to look for another better and more reliable choice.

A wonderful experience touring Tanzania's northern circuit
5/5

I was looking for a trouble free trip with my family and we found it with Flash. Our booking was straight forward and simple. The itinerary turned out to be prefect. We visited Tarangire, Natron, southern and Ndutu areas of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro crater over our 9 day trip.
This was our 11th safari and what really makes or breaks a experience is your driver/guide. We couldn't have been happier with Malik, he attended to all of our needs and had a special eye for capturing 'the right shot'. I have been receiving a steady stream of complements on my photos. I was also very pleased with Malik's driving, you do a lot of driving on safari. I noted other operators guides really giving their clients quite a 'thrill' as they were whipping down rough rocky roads.
Bottom line I'd be happy to recommend to others to consider booking with Flash.

Good itinerary, good guide, good accomodation, good food, good transport - a seamless performance
5/5

We were a family group of 6 ranging from 73 to 10! Each of us were equally thrilled by our holiday. Our guide was outstanding - well-informed, amusing, patient and a good driver. This is not to mention his eye sight which rendered our binoculars almost redundant. The staff at each stop were charming and the food was of a remarkable standard. Whilst the lodges were splendid nothing could beat the camp in the Serengeti which of course we had to ourselves. We saw almost every conceivable animal all at very close range and managed to complete nearly 80% of the bird book. Go!

Trip of A Lifetime
5/5

I visited South Africa, Cape Town and Johannesburg, and utilized Travel For Life. I heard about Travel For Life from my cousin, who utilized their services for her South Africa Trip in 2014. With limited time and a very very last minute trip( we booked everything less than two weeks out) I used Travel For Life to book all of my tours and my safari trip. I was very pleased with the services provided by Monika and the Travel For Life Team. I told Monika exactly what I wanted to do and see while in South Africa and she arranged all of our tours. We did a tour of the Cape Peninsula and Winelands, a day safari trip to Pilanesburg and a private tour of the Apartheid Museum and Soweto. She arranged hotel accommodations in Johannesburg and airport transfers in Johannesburg as well. I was worried that I would not be able to do and see everything that I wanted to in Cape Town and Johannesburg because everything was so last minute, but Monika worked her magic and was able to book all of our tours successfully!

I found it very easy to contact Monika via email especially with the seven hour time difference. She responded to my emails in a fast and efficient manner. The tours booked exceeded my expectations and more. The tour guides were awesome and the hotel accommodations were first class. I can't say enough about the hotel that she booked for us, it was everything and more!

Monika, took the stress out of the planning process and setting up tours and airport transfers. I just literally showed up and enjoyed my vacation :)! If you are in need of a Tour operator I would highly recommend Travel For Life. When I have the opportunity to visit South Africa again I will definitely be utilizing their services again. I also plan to recommend Travel For Life to friends and family members who plan to visit South Africa as well.

Perfect Safari Experience for us!
5/5

We had never been on Safari before so really didn't know what to expect.
Rob at Tailormade was able to advise us particularly about the ethical nature of Safaris and he made the planning very easy. He recommended Sanbona Wildlife Reserve and in particular the tented lodges - we were not disappointed. He gave us detailed directions to the reserve from Cape Town and the journey was as spectacular as he described. We were made to feel very welcome at the lodge and although we were only able to stay one night we managed a most successful evening and a sunrise game drive - not to mention a delicious lunch dinner and breakfast! Our guide at Sanbona made every effort for us to see as much game as possible - especially as we were only there for one night!
We felt the care attention given to us by Rob at Tailormade was excellent. Emails were answered promptly and we were given lots of useful general information about South Africa/Cape Town - places to visit - restaurant recommendations etc.
I would not hesitate to book with Tailormade again.

Fantastic experience
5/5

We did a 5 nights / 6 days private safari in december 2016. Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha (each 1 night) and 3 nights Masai Mara. Everything was adjusted to fix our needs, Lucy did a perfect organisation and our driver-guide Peter simply was the best. Very professional, extremely experienced, friendly and helpful - and with a very good eye, even for the best photo-position. We saw all of the well known animals and a lot of the lesser known; the tour was perfectly organized and there were no problems whatsoever. Best price-value experience we could think of! Thanks a lot, would love to go again with this company! Would recommend this 10/10.
Communication was fast and very good, the expecations were met and the tour great.
