One of the best experience in Safari!
I have just finished a 8 day safari organised with David at Eastco, from the planning stage, payment and eventual safari it could not have gone better.
With all the Tour Operators in Arusha choosing a company is probably the most difficult. We could not have been happier with Eastco.
This was our first safari and this is my first trip report, I read a few others to get a type of format so here goes.
Dates: 8 Days from February 5th to the 12th 2018
I travelled with my partner both in our late 20’s.
Parks Visited: Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Ndutu and Central Serengeti. We didn’t want to splurge but wanted decent clean accommodation. Our first night was spent at AruMeru River lodge, good food, clean and comfortable. We met David from Eastco in the morning and discussed our trip, before setting off to Tarangire.
Boundary Hill Lodge exceeded our expectations, the views of the valley below were the best you could imagine. Elephants could be seen from the verandah of the room it was a pretty good way to enjoy a sundowner. The Park itself offered lion, elephants, baobab trees everywhere. The highlight was the drive along the Tarangire River here it was easy to see elephants drinking, Zebra and Impala all over the place. We spent two nights here before going to Ngorongoro Crater.
At the Crater we stayed at the Wildlife Lodge again a lodge with a fantastic view. We did an early morning game drive and again saw animals everywhere. Elephants, buffalo, gazelles, lions sleeping, hyena as well as jackal.
Our 5th night was a highlight of the trip, we camped somewhere in the Serengeti Ndutu I believe and there were wildebeest with babies everywhere, as far as the eye could see. The main predators were hyena and jackal, lions which we expected to see where few and far between. We weren’t interested in birds but the superb starlings and vultures changed our minds, the Serengeti is all you imagined, open plains as far as the eye can see.
On one of our days here we went looking for cheetah, found one lone animal sleeping in the shade of a large tree. While this day was relaxing driving amongst the wildebeest was more fun.
We spent the last night at Seronera before flying back to Arusha in what was the smallest plane we have flown in not only was it scary but rough. The views of the areas we had visited showed us a different perspective.
Vehicle: We had a flat tyre but considering the condition of some of the roads I am surprised the 4 x 4 survived.
Highlight:
Boundary Hill Lodge: the view was awesome, food great more than enough and a good variety.
Serengeti : Wildebeest everywhere.
Eastco: David provided a perfect well planned trip.
Wouldn’t do again: Take the flight.

Simply Amazing
My trip was very well organized, all the lodges were of good quality an my guide Patrick was piece of gold. He knew all the animals we saw, found lions in high grass impossible to see to inexperienced eye and took good care of us.

Comfortable, affordable and friendly service from a great guide!
My partner and I traveled with Kassim to see the Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Uganda. It was a great experience - Kassim was friendly, professional and very good with communication. He was relaxed but was always on time and was really accommodating (for example, helping me to purchase a SIM card in a town en route to Bwindi). We really enjoyed chatting with him about Uganda, his work, and of course, football (he is a big fan!)
We had a very special experience and would definitely travel with Kassim if we came on safari in Uganda again! Highly recommended.

Great Driver/guide, car could have been more modern
Easy and quick communication. picked up on time. Bonface, our driver and guide, was very friendly and pleasant to have around. Would book him again and recommend him. The minivan we drove was very old and dated. I was glad we didn't spend a lot of time in the car. Would book with the tour company again, if they promised to provide a better car.

Amazing experince
All was excellent: organization, transportation, communication, our guide God Love and cook. We enjoyed our safari, and this safari company is highly recommended!

Amazing Safari Experience
We had an amazing safari experience with Dusty Roads Safaris - all of the representatives of the company that we met were great and our guide Joseph was fantastic. We did a 2-day / 1 night safari to Tarangire and Ngorogoro Crater. Both days were fantastic, the scenery, the wildlife and the lodge (Eileens Tree) were all great. As for the wildlife we saw tons of lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, a rhino and her baby and countless other things. Safari bookings was a great tool to book with. Highly recommend all involved.

Experience gorillas
If you get the chance to go gorilla trekking in Uganda don’t pass it up! It is an amazing experience. You get to get up close to these beautiful animals in their natural habitat.

Diverse itinerary, great lodging and meals, good price for experiences, an amazing adventure!
The communications were good, but few, so one has to be good following up or comfortable that all is being taken care of. One suggestion to this company is to write a list of necessary items and actions, ie links to Visa, inoculations required, best items to pack, etc. Once the itinerary was set communication was minimal but Elias answered every email of mine sufficiently. The service was great! we were picked up at Entebbe airport late (2300) by a smiling Sam, our next 8-day driver and guide and he toured us through the parks and lodging and joined us for several meals. He even stopped for birds along the route. Sam had excellent knowledge of the country, politics, wildlife. For my comfort, he should slow down through the communities since there are people, animals and motorcycles on the narrow roads. Our expectations of this trip were met and soared above, everything, even the incredible thunder storm in the middle of our first morning (sleeping), was fabulous! Hiking to see gorillas and walking with the chimps were favorite treks. Food was AWESOME, and we are vegetarians (but eat some dairy and fish), and there were delicious vegan meals too. Our favorite lodging was at The Bush Lodge, where when we turned out our patio tent lights, a hippo and water buffalo foraged nearby, and slightly further away, a lion roared! On our last day Elias had a guide/driver from Lake Bunyonyi (ahhh, talk about relaxing!) take us to Rwandan border, while Oscar, met us and patiently waited while we went through customs. He is Rwandan so knew the country well and took us to lunch and then the Genocide museum before taking us to the airport. He was a most excellent driver. We like that Home To Africa gives back to the community and is a Ugandan-based tour company. Yes, we highly recommend them!
