The BEST Service for the BEST price - your search stops here =)
5/5

Do not bother looking anywhere else. Good Time Safaris provided us with far better service at a much better price than any other company I contacted or went on a previous safari with. Our guide was relaxed yet very professional, flexible and knowledgeable. The vehicle we rode in was top notch as well. Cannot recommend this company highly enough. My wife and I went with her parents on a 4day/3night safari to Ngorongoro and the Serengeti and stayed at the Ngorongoro Wild Tented in both places (which I also recommend).

Wonderful Experience
5/5

This tour incorporated 3 days in Etosha National Park and 3 days in Sossusvlei (the desert region). From start to finish the entire tour was exquisitely organised.

We were collected from our hotel (which they helped us book) and introduced to our tour guides ( Milner and Ruben - two of the nicest guys you will ever meet)

Our tour group's demographic varied greatly but we all got on like a house on fire.
The Etosha part of our tour consisted of game drives and camping - we got to see loads of animals including a pride of 20 lion, fighting Rhinos and pronking Springbok.
The campsites were very well equipped and comfortable - the guides had us erecting the tents in under 5 minutes! The standard of the cooking blew us away especially since Ruben was working off a campfire.Milner's spirited commentary kept us amused and interested throughout even the long drives.

For the Sossusvlei leg we opted for the lodge accommodation (Dune Lodge) and it was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed although if we are honest, Ruben's cooking was superior! The dunes have to be seen to be believed - some of the most exhilarating sights you will ever see. Running down Dune 45 at sunrise will make you feel like a kid and leave you smiling from ear to ear for the rest of the day.

A word of warning, the desert gets really cold at night and the early mornings so do pack a jumper.

If you are planning a trip in Namibia, I would highly recommend "running with the Wild Dogs!!" Brilliant tour operator and fantastic team.

A Superb Adventure with Africa traditional safaris
5/5

I’m a little late in posting, however, I just have to share…..Going on an African safari was on my lifelong list of adventures. I shopped extensively before committing to a tour company. Our private tour was wonderful and all our expectations (and then some) were met. We loved the fact that we were able to personalize / customize all aspects of our visit. Rajab, our tour guide was so knowledgeable, kind and warm spirited. My son (an ecological biologist), too was incredibly impressed with Rajab’s breadth of knowledge. Rajab made sure we were well taken care of at all time. We were typically the first to leave the camp, and although it was a little tiring at times, it was well worth the experiences encountered (i.e. brother cheetahs taking down a young gazelle or witnessing the wildebeest migration in Northern Serengeti). Rajab provided profound insight to the cultural of various tribes and people of North Tanzania. Thanks to Africa Traditional Safaris and Rajab. Our experience was beyond exceptional, thanks to an outstanding tour company. I would highly recommend using them.

Wonderful safari trip !
5/5

Wonderful safari trip!

As a family, we went on safari with Africa Tried and Tested in March 2015. I was our first trip to Africa. We had send our requests to several safari operators, but Africa Tried and Tested was always the first one to respond and that made us feel the comfortable partner to book with. They were able to answer our many questions in a good, adequate and efficient way. All accommodations were children friendly, most of them with a swimming pool. Once in Tanzania, Karin (originally Dutch) visited us in the first lodge so we could ask all our questions. That felt comfortable. Even on safari Karin called us several times to make sure we were doing fine.

Sleeping in a tent surrounded by wildebeest and zebra’s and hearing a lion roaring close by is so freaking exiting! We went to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. To finish the holiday we spend 5 days in Zanzibar in a beautiful lodge. Thanks Africa Tried and Tested. We will recommend you to our friends and family!

Review about Ngorongoro Crater by Pedro Helder

5/5

Ngorongoro crater is magical! it's known as Noah's arc as it have a collection of species that live balanced in that ecossystem. There I saw lions with black mane and black rhinos, that is an endangered specie. Although I haven't seen, a friend of mine who was in another vehicule saw two leopards by the road when they were driving inbound.

Visiting Serengeti is a lifetime experience
Overall rating
5/5

Serengeti is wonderful. I visited during the great migration of wildebeest and zebras. There are basically three regions in the park: the south serengeti, the center and the north serengeti. I visited the south - that means ndutu area - in february when and where the herds give birth. There was many offspring and if you are patient, you will see female wildebeest giving birth as well as predators such as hyenas, lions and cheetahs hunting. In the center of serengeti, I saw the kopjes, the grumetti river with hippos and crocodiles and the leopards. While the south is green and wet during february, the center and north is dry. But things change along the year so try to find out where the herds and the rain is to assure you will see what you want.

Its huge. Therefore you can pick and choose the type of safari experience to your liking. It could be a little crowded when a big game like a leopard or a cheetah is spotted. But there is plenty more - great for birding if that is your interest.
