Great Gorilla and wildlife Safari with Prime Safaris in Uganda!
5/5

Emma is delightful guide. Friendly and knowledgeable about animals, birds, flora, and local culture. And a real expert at spotting wildlife! We would approach as quietly as he could in the safari van and stop at just the right place to snap the perfect picture.

We were the first to see a lion that may others were waiting for. He is well connected with other guides and able to get to the right place at the right time for a great safari

He is eager to please and worked hard to anticipate my needs before I was even aware of them.

He played African music when I wanted and let quiet reign when I wanted that.
I like to read a local newspaper and he sought them out daily even in the bush for me.

Emma is a stellar guide. I’ve been on Safaris before in Kenya and South Africa but this was by far the best.

The price was competitive or better than others, the facilities were good.
Cate provided great service and answered many questions I had up until the booking.

Highly satisfying and recommended!

Iconic experiences with a safari guide at the top of his game
5/5

The four week tour started in Johannesburg then went north through Kruger to the Matapos Hills in Zimbabwe, north to Victoria Falls then across to Botswana. We went south through Chobe NP to Moan then up to the Okavango Delta then flew in a small plane over the Delta back to Moan. We went East to the Tulie Game Reserve then made the long drive back to South Africa & to Johannesburg.
It was a spectacular itinerary and we saw everything we hoped to see.
Our Safari Guide, Anthony Waterford, was exceptional. He combined encyclopaedic knowledge with deep experience, a strong sense of care, and effective leadership. He was a very pleasant companion who has endless stories to tell. I haven’t experienced a better tour leader.
Communication with Masihambe was good, the vehicles were adequate, and the accommodation was interesting and comfortable. This tour is for people who can pitch in and help with cooking, and who are adaptable when plans change suddenly, or things go wrong.

Spectacular and exciting photographic tour site

5/5

When I visited Etosha NP in May and June 2017, the weather was beautiful; highs in the mid-70s (F), dry and pleasant, and there had been recent rains which brought the flowers evident in so many of my photographs. The large animals were slightly harder to find because there was water at many places in the park due to recent heavy rains. However, we were successful at photographing many, including black rhino, lions, cheetah, lions, elephants, giraffes, kudu, zebra, black-faced impala, springbok, and many others. The birding was spectacular, and I was able to photograph many species such as lilac breasted roller, purple roller, secretary bird, and many others. All in all, it is a place I hope to return to many times. Also, the people of Namibia were friendly, helpful, and respectful of foreigners (like me). A very enjoyable and incredible trip!

A beautiful country with spectacular vistas, wildlife, and especially birds! Weather was dry and pleasant in May/June 2017, and I suspect it is similar in many other years. Etosha NP is the largest NP in Africa, and is a prime location for viewing and photographing wildlife!

Captivating Scenery and Exhilarating Safari Trip!
Overall rating
5/5

It was a perfect trip for my wife and myself. Once we have decided on the safari tour recommended by Sonja from Kruger Park Tour, we know we are in for a once in a lifetime experience. She was detailed, organized and extremely prompt in answering some of out queries. This must be the most seamless booking we've done thus far.

The transit from JNB to Tydon Safari was smooth and we had a stopover for toilet break and lunch before reaching the camp. We fell in love with Tydon the minute we step foot into the camp as everyone there was super friendly and hospitable and made us feel so comfortable throughout the stay. We had 4 nights at the Safari Camp near Sabi Sands. We dropped our luggage, had a change of clothes and off we go for our very first game drive into the Sabi Sands. As this is our first time trying a game drive and hence without any expectations, we were completely blown away by the beauty of mother nature and the animals we saw (elephants, rhinos, gifarres and leopards)! Point to note for travelers, do go with an open mind and not every game drives provide you with the big fives, don't miss out those other animals who are also part of the beautiful nature in the safari.

Upon returning from the game drive, our guides gathered us around a bon fire for delicious dinners prepared by our awesome chefs. They made sure that we have the opportunity to try different African cuisines every nights and we enjoyed and appreciate all the meals presented to us at the camp throughout our stay.

The next few days continued on with an early morning game drive at 6:30am, hearty breakfast at 10am and then lunch at 1pm before heading out again for our afternoon drives to Kruger National Park. We were really blessed to witness a big mane Lion, a lone leopard, herd of elephants, cape buffalos and rhino crossing all within a day!!! It was such an exhilarating experience and so out of this world!

July is actually a pretty nice period for the safari tour as it's quite cooling in the day except that you really need to wrap up quite a bit in the wee hours of morning as well as during the night as the temp can drop to between 4-10 deg. The wind from the open top drive can be gruelling and I was freezing due to being ill-prepared for the cold.

Overall, this is my BEST holiday ever and I absolutely love Africa for the abundance of beautiful nature and the people are so amazing. I want to give a special shout out to our beautiful guide and spotter - Seonaid from Tydon Safari for being the most positive and patient guide to us.

An unforgettable trip
5/5

The safari has been an unforgettable experience. We had a great time. Every day we were part of the beauty of nature. Each park surprised us day by day.
Wildebeest migration in the Serengeti is perhaps the most shocking and exciting.
Our guide, Erasto, had a very important role in the safari, who with his knowledge and joy made us spend very beautiful moments. He taught us a lot about animals, about life in Tanzania, about his language, etc. He is also a very funny and educated person. He was watching us every day.
The safari met our expectations and more.
Thank you so much for everything

There was clear communications with expectations and payment and Kakasii did a great job overseeing and coordinating our trip. Leslie was absolutely astounding and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We were so lucky and thankful to be with such a great company!

Robust tour of South Africa and Victoria Falls with safaris in Chobe and Madikwe.
5/5

We could not be more satisfied with the arrangements made by Gail at Pembury. She was very responsive to all our questions before we arrived in South Africa. Gail correctly placed us in accommodations that perfectly fit our desires. Transfers were prompt and day trips were excellent. Our main safari at Impodimo in Madikwe was awesome. Their new comfortable waterhole hide provided us with up close viewing of elephants, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, and many varieties of antelope and birds. Our trip was everything we hoped for and more.

A wonderful wildlife experience
5/5

From day one I was impressed with Mashihambe. All the reviews I read were actually true from Jude's regular, informative emails to Ant's legendary culinary skills! The main attraction, Africa, in all its shades did not disappoint. The landscape, the wildlife, the trees, the people were wonderful and 26 days passed all too quickly.
The tour was designed to experience different aspects of Southern Africa and every day brought new animals, new landscapes and new experiences. The accommodation was varied and always comfortable. From guest houses like home to unique resorts and cabins, everywhere we went we were met by smiling faces, soft beds and hot showers, no mean feat in the middle of the Kalahari, miles from anywhere!
The focus being wildlife, we spent hardly any time in towns and had opportunities every day do go on long game drives looking for animals. I never tired of it! Ant has had long years of experience and could answer every curly question I threw at him. He has an unquenched enthusiasm for everything African and his love of it all was highly infectious! And when I left my passport in a safe and didn't notice for 3 days, he seemed to know everyone in Botswana to get it back to me safe and sound.

Awesome!
5/5

I was in Nairobi for work and only had one day off on my own to enjoy seeing some of Kenya's extraordinary wildlife. I chose to do the Amboseli day trip from Nairobi and it was magnificient! My guide and driver was very knowledgeable and made sure that the visit to the park was focused on what I wanted to see and at the pace that I wanted. It's an extraordinary park to watch elephants, hippos, giraffes and many other animals. I had an unforgettable time and, whilst I would have loved to have had 5 days instead of one, it was well worth going for one day. Warmly recommended!
