Canoeing down the Zambezi was an experience I will not forget, exciting but nerve wracking too!
4/5

Our guides were excellent, very highly trained and I soon learned to trust them. I was very nervous, and was able to be in the canoe with the main guide. I do feel that there should be a guide in each canoe as the one that was without did struggle at times, especially when paddling past the hippo pods, an anxious time.
I was amazed to see a lot of the equipment is metal, which must add to the weight, and the chaps worked so hard loading and unloading, can these not be replaced with plastic tables, chairs and tent poles??
The food was really good, cooked and served really well. Bit sceptical about the hygiene - cloths very dirty, washing up in cold water, but we weren't ill thankfully.
It was an amazing trip, the guides kept us safe, and it was very beautiful, getting so close to the elephants was special.

What started out in frustration ended in satisfaction.
5/5

This is a follow up to a previous review posted several weeks ago regarding lost keys. At that point, I felt that Africa Travel Co. had chosen to forget about the matter. I was pleased to receive a follow up email from Matt at ATC informing me that they hadn't forgotten. They arranged for a U.S. traveler to bring the keys back to the States and then mail them to me domestically. This unfortunate episode will fade. What won't fade are the remarkable memories of the trip. Our tour dynamics were amazing. Will, our guide was sarcastic and fantastic. His knowledge and love of Africa was obvious. He, along with our driver Stevie and our cook Monga created an inclusive environment for a pretty diverse tour group. We brought our two teenage sons and were concerned that there wouldn't be anyone for them to interact with. It was just the opposite. This was very much a family trip and all of the kids bonded quickly. As has been stated in other reviews, this is not a trip for everyone. ATC makes that clear in their materials. It's a trip that demands participation and engagement. After sleeping under African stars, you're up early and moving all day. You're pitching in to help clean, cook and manage the campsite. I found this expectation to be a bonding agent and not a chore. If you have an adventurous spirit and a lot of energy, then you should be good to yourself and take this trip with ATC.

Fabulous Honeymoon
5/5

We used Fungayi to plan our honeymoon trip to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe and Cape Town, South Africa.
Fungayi was very attentive and planned an excellent itinerary for our trip. He showed us all the popular sights and also offered multiple lifts in his car instead of using the local taxi services. His choices in accommodation were perfect and we had a fantastic time.
Fungayi then transferred us over to his colleague Natasha in Cape Town who was also excellent. She was also very attentive and made sure we saw & did everything we wanted to even though the weather became a bit of an issue at the beginning of the holiday.
Both Fungayi & Natasha were very friendly and helpful and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them or using them again in the future.

Fabulous service, amazing value and depth of knowledge
5/5

Jenni at Southey Travel is absolutely fantastic! Her wealth of knowledge is endless, she answered all my questions even before I could ask them - always two steps ahead! Her attention to detail is brilliant helping us plan our our trip even though we live in different timezones! She was an absolute pleasure to deal with and I have recommended her to 2 of my friends that are travelling to south Africa and they both are so happy with the service already! She really goes the extra mile and it made me feel like she really cared and understood about what this trip meant for each of us.

Fantastic company, excellent experience in every respect, thank you Simba!
5/5

When planning a three day trip to Murchison Falls I contacted a number of companies. Immediately Simba stood out from the rest. I cannot praise Harajah enough, she was responsive and very accommodating. When there was a delay with the payment she was understanding and patient. Communications, arrangements and the company's willingness to cater for our needs meant it was a pleasure to work with Simba and our confidence in the company was rewarded.
Tom was our driver and guide. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with him, his enthusiasm, attention to detail, local knowledge and driving ability meant we got the most from our time at Murchison. We had a wonderful experience and felt very lucky to have had Tom as our guide.
We stayed at Pakuba Lodge. Having previously stayed at Paara, I preferred Pakuba being a quieter lodge, very friendly and brilliantly positioned for immediately encountering the best wildlife, in fact driving to and from the lodge were extra game drives and sitting outside our lodge we had elephants, giraffes and cobs passing by in front of us.
Thank you to Tom, Harajah and Simba for giving us a fantastic experience.

Everything about our Ugandan trip was well planned, coordinated, and executed by Uzuri Safaris!
5/5

The timeliness of our responses from Edris were perfect. Everything was covered an inclusive including breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our travel to and from each location from the Airport to our trips tracking animals and the Safari were all taken care of prior to us ever landing in country. The ease of transition from one location to the next allowed for my travel partner and I to thoroughly relax and enjoy our week long vacation. Our tour guide was name Joachim and I recommend him to anyone that plans to utilize Uzuri Uganda Safaris for their future travel plans. Amazing trip, excellent food, safe, fun, and friendly environment and culture as a whole.

Amazing experience !
5/5

We had been checking many agencies and Anna was very responsive from the very first moment and open to any suggestion. All the booking process was easy and secure.
The safari it self, 5 days at Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro was very nice. Salim was our our driver and he is a really nice and funny guy, he did his best so we could see all the animals and he was always on time. Our cook Salim (same name) was also very good, he managed to cook in the campsites and prepared very good meal. The pre-cooked meals were more modest.
We did the budget tour and the camp in Serengeti is very basic, but it is part of the experience. The camp by Lake Manyara and the one at Ngorongoro were better.
When we finished the tour Anna came in person to say hello and listen to our feedback that was very nice. Also Salim and David, other driver also very nice, took us to a local place to have a beer. Both things make a difference between companies, I definitely recommend them.
