Worst travel agency ever!!! Do not book with these guys
1/5

We booked an African safari package with Claudious Tours back in February. The trip was supposed to be from 28MAY-06JUNE. We spent $1800 on the tour and unfortunately forced to cancel because of the COVID-19 crisis. We requested cancellation back in March and they have consistently given multiple excuses and lies for not returning our money. They originally refused to give any refund, but then we looked up their refund policy for cancellations.

Claudious Tours policy states that they take a certain percentage of the cost for cancellations. For which we do understand that, but even after that they still refuse to give us our refund back through Paypal. They eventually said that they would start giving us installments of our money beginning 07May, then every month after until paid. They still have NOT given us our refund and continuously keep giving us lies and empty promises. This is unprofessional and it literally takes 20 minutes to do a refund on Paypal.

The last email we received from Claudious was stated they have been issuing refunds to other customers. Attached to the email was a ‘refunded reciept’ as so-called proof from another customer saying they were processing refunds. The receipt had this customer’s private information, address, banking info that WASN’T redacted. Anyone could’ve taken that information and committed identity theft on this person. Please DO NOT book with this agency, there are way better places to book with in Nairobi.

Great time and Adventurous trip
5/5

Starvel Safaris helped us have the most amazing Kenyan safari experience! Starting from the pickup at the airport all the way to helping out with excess luggage and making sure that we had a fantastic time, Esther and her team were with us from start to finish. David, our guide, was very experienced and told us a great deal about all the animals that we saw in Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru and of course Maasai Mara.
We were put up at great places either within or a short distance away from the gates of each national park that we visited. Every little bit of our catering needs were taken care of and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. David is a machine! He drove for 6 hours straight and then with just a short gap made sure that we went on a game drive. He was funny, kind and considerate and it was an excellent experience overall for all of us. Highly recommended.

Excellent & Reliable
5/5

Our group of 16 people was scheduled to go to Kenya in March, 2020 which got cancelled due to the travel restrictions in place due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Our booking was a very complex one with people coming from multiple destinations on separate dates to meet up in Nairobi before heading to Olare Mara. The team at Chalo Africa never said no to any of our requests and many changes we requested during the course of the booking. They made sure everything was covered. And i knew they were good because i had gone on a trip to Tanzania which was planned by them in 2016.

I am sure there are a few other operators who can provide such service. But the way they kept in touch after the cancellation and worked out various options for us to either get a refund or credit is a statement of their character in such tough times and is truly commendable. My family and friends will definitely make this trip and Chalo Africa will be our agency of choice to plan the trip.

I would like to thank the all star team of Sangeeta, Smita and Malavika for everything and would like to wish them all the best.

Best Wishes
KK

AMAZING- MUST DO EXPERIENCE!!
5/5

We were here for a 4 days trip in January with a tour package from Frena Adventures. Having first stop at Bwindi and visited 2 or 3 families of gorillas, what an experience was that on day. The guides are amazing and you do not travel for very long as there are trackers out before you go to find the family. The rule is to stay 7 metres away from the gorillas but they come up to you. The pictures you can get of these creatures are amazing and the money you spend on seeing these creatures goes towards helping them stay alive in their natural area for as long as possible. We only spend an hour with the gorillas but It really is a must do expereince and one I would like do it again!
