Fantastic Safari Experience
5/5

This was my first visit to Kenya, but won't be my last. I was part of a medical mission group that has been using Great Horizon Trails for at least five years and I now see why. Our drivers met us at the exit from customs at the airport and took care of everything from that moment until they dropped us and our luggage back at the airport. When eight of our bags didn't make it to Kenya with us they made all the arrangements to get our bags to us as quickly as possible.

They were involved in every aspect of our trip. The drivers were very friendly and helpful, answering every question asked of them along the way and accommodating every request made. Their suggestions and assistance were always correct and helpful. They quickly went from being guides and drivers to friends and important members of the team. Moses and Maina, thank you!

I highly recommend Great Horizon Trails for all your travel needs!

it was the most amazing experience
5/5

The service was excellent in every aspect right from the time of inquiry till our trip ended.

They were very gracious about the mistake I made in our dates and helped us in fixing the mess. The transport was excellent, the guides for our safari were very knowledgeable.Mike at Kruger Travels was very helpful and available .I especially appreciate their calmness in dealing with my mess up n the dates. Everything was booked with our convienience in mind.We were surprised that the kids had their own cabins and rooms which they were very happy with.

The food was excellent and the people who drove us from place to place were really nice.

Unexpected life changing moments.
5/5

Arch Treks and Safaris went beyond expectations in that all our queries and needs were meet. They ensured that we were all well equipped, had proper safety, reliable transport and good accommodation. Their communication and services provided were efficient. I enjoyed getting to know the individuals from Arch Treks and Safaris. Furthermore, I really appreciated the advise given on climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.

If something goes wrong, you lose.

Our family just completed a 5 day camping safari. Tanzania is awesome, but not to be confused with the tour company. Driver was clean, polite and helpful but lacked good wildlife knowledge. Didn'y always stop when we wanted to take pictures or observe. Also, 3 days before our departure the company contacted us (after we had negotiated the price and paid a deposit) and said the government had raised the tax by 18% and we had to pay 18% extra. We tried to get a refund or a sufficient email respose, but no joy, so rather than lose the deposit we went with the increase. For our budget it was a hit. Next time I would chose a more ethical company.

This was a wonderful experience that exceeded expectations.

I wanted a more rugged experience and that is exactly what I got. Two young adult male grandchildren had as much as they could eat and loved it all. The animals were plentiful and the guides all worked together to make sure we had a good experience, yet were mostly respectful of the animals in their habitat. There was a lot of driving on this 6 day, and we should have been advised that the flamingos were not at Nukuru. Having to transit Nairobi frequently was annoying. If there were some way to plan around that, it would make the tour more enjoyable. I, however, was thrilled to see the snows of Kilimanjaro just one morning. Amboseli was probably my favorite park. Aroni, our guide, was very informative, friendly, and patient with the young folk. Nicely done. Asante sana

Best place to Safari with a very reliable team!
5/5

We had a large group of 8 arriving from different countries and things went very smoothly with the help of Elias Njenga, who helped us work through our itinerary at odd hours of the day and night!. Our drivers were Focus and Madava and they were excellent in spotting the animals as well as knowledgeable about the plants and birds. They also helped us understand what the customs of the people were and how the conservation worked in that area. Good company too! Thoroughly enjoyable! We went to Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire . Also managed to do a Hot Air Balloon ride over the Serengeti which ended with a champagne breakfast - I thoroughly recommend it! In Arusha the Mount Meru Game Lodge was a wonderful place to arrive and leave from. At Kisura Tented camp it was basic but fun. The staff were excellent! I will definitely be back!

Well planned and executed trip. Family really enjoyed the adventure and very memorable experience.
5/5

We were 3 families of twelve with the youngest boy at 7 years old travelling together on this safari. Despite the hectic and full schedule, we really experienced the game drives, elephants camp and Victoria Falls to the fullest. The trip to Table Mountain along with penguins reserve and two vineyards dinner and tasting were exhilarating and awesome. All in all, the services were good to excellent. All the guides, drivers and hosts were very attentive, polite and very accommodating, especially when the schedule needed re-arranging due to the weather condition.
