An incredible first African Safari
South Africa has many things to offer and the variety is just exceptional. In Cape Town the amazing view of the Table Mountain as a backdrop to the Victoria Waterfront during sunset is seen to be believed. The scenery on the Garden Route and the food topped with a winetasting day makes for a memorable holiday. The crowning glory of a South African tour is the private safaris....... and ours was at the Thornybush Game Reserve.
The lodge is simply outstanding with the room overlooking a water hole. The sightings of smaller game coming to the waterhole while having a shower is, I suppose "exclusive"....
Got the big five, including the sight of a leopard jumping from one tree to another as well as a baby elephant rubbing its forehead on the side of the open land rover, right where I was sitting!!!!
The meals were great and the price was extremely reasonable. The tracker was exceptional....
The lodge also organizes walks and that is where the tracker explains the differences between the pug marks of a lion and a leopard.

Namibia has some great open spaces with few signs of humans besides the fences by the roads. The people we encountered were all very friendly and we felt completely safe during our entire visit.

In October 2013 my wife and I went to Tanzania on a safari. I was just so happy about the the service from Agama Tours and Safaris, I felt I had to share it with other people.
A couple months in advance I reached Kabalo from Agama Tours and Safaris. The gentleman quickly responded my booking email, gave me all information about the safari, what we would need and other advice. We went for a 5 day safari through Manyara, Ngorongoro and Serengeti. When I had questions he was easy to reach. The safari just went very smoothly, no complications or trouble. The car was in great shape, they cleaned it every day of the safari. The driver was very knowledgable, the food was fantastic! My wife and I very satisfied! Highyl recommend everybody to contact Kabalo if you want an excellent wildlife safari. From the moment of pick up at the airport Milestone Safaris looked after me with such care. The lodge (Honey Badger) was a fabulous oasis of peace - wonderful rooms, food and pool and the gardens were fab. The safari they organised for me was EXACTLY what I had hoped for. The staff at the lodge, and driver/guide of my safari (George) were so caring and informed and helpful, you really felt cared for and at home. I would Highly highly recommend this young company to anyone

In a word: Outstanding.
If you don't want to read a positive review don't read this. The three ladies of Chalo Africa went out of their way to make sure that I got every consideration on this safari. Having never been to Africa before I really didn't have any idea what to expect. I went to four camps run by the Massie tribe. I saw all of the big five, and the ugly five and several of the little five. I took over 2,500 pictures (probably close to 3,000) in my eleven day safari which I finally got down to just 533 pictures. The camps (tent) were well maintained, clean and the beds were certainly comfortable. Hot water bottles in the bed every night while we dined. Dined is the correct term, as the food was wonderful. My guides were extremely informative and bent over backwards to show and explain flora, animals and whatever I asked about. If you are a 'birder' you won't be disappointed either.
Chalo Africa was in contact with me almost daily before my trip and several times after to see that everything went as I wanted it.
I have already committed myself and my oldest son for next March. All I have to do is convince my wife to come with me. She gave the trip to me as a 50th anniversary gift.
Take a good zoom camera and a "Good" pair of Binoc's. You won't be sorry.

Ngorongoro Day tour
Had an amazing time with my family in the Crater. I had a free day in Arusha between two conferences and went on a safari with ISIA. Mr. Baraja greeted me in this office and we had amarulla together before the tour :) The safari was top notch and we managed to see most of the animals except for the leopards. I will come again with more time for sure.
