Wonderful wildlife and our guide, Hassan, was awesome! We stayed at 3 different lodges and each was better than the previous. We finished our safari at the Migration Lodge which was simply fantastic!! We could not have been treated better. It exceeded our expectations!!

What an amazing time we had in Sabi Sand. It was our first time on safari and wow, what an incredible experience we had! We did not expect to see so many beautiful animals so close up. We loved the off-roading too tracking cheetahs, leopards and lions. What an adrenalin rush that gives you! It was the springtime when we visited so it was very easy to spot the animals. The river beds were dry and we enjoyed our morning bush mix stops there with the vervet monkeys and baboons overhead in the trees. One night we watched the sun set on the river whilst the elephants played in the puddles. Early one morning we tracked a hippo moving from one water hole to another. So many wonderful memories of the most beautiful animals will be forever imprinted on our minds. We have already booked to return again as four days did not seem enough!

Review about Ngorongoro Crater by lindsaydonald1319

There is no place like it on earth. We saw 3 Black Rhino, albeit from a distance. The animals are used to the vehicles so I captured some great warthog shots (previously most warthog shots were of rear ends disappearing with their tails erect). It is busy in the morning with vehicles. However, many groups travel distances to get to and from the crater so they leave by 1 or 2 pm. Several great lion shots, hyenas, zebras etc. Not many species of birds due to the lack of trees.

My most memorable experience

We had a fantastic five days safari, where we were fortunate to see the Big Five / Magnificent Seven plus the small five. Our guides also gave us a cultural experience by the trails throughout the park & we visited the museum at Skukuza which was very interesting & we could appreciate how the park had developed. The guides we had were extremely knowledgable, not only on the Big Five but the birds & flora, they were passionate about Kruger and made us feel most welcome. We were fortunate to stay in three different camps and had our own chef & guide through tout the time. All had very good accommodation with good amenities. We really can't wait to visit again & explore other areas of Kruger.

It's Not One Of The Most Renowned National Parks for Nothing!

Don't miss it! I spent 5 days on Safari in the Serengeti National Park and it was one of the most memorable trips of my life. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly and always where the action was! Lions and Cheetahs feasting on their prey was def a highlight.

One thing I was nervous about going into the trip - FOOD. Wow, was I wrong! We had amazing meals every night at each campsite. That being said I'm a peeker and I saw everyone else's food too and they were doing alright themselves. I was more than surprised. So go eat up, then hit Kili!!!

Serengeti was different than I expected, but you will see the most cats here. It's definitely a place to see in your life.

My favorite park
Overall rating
5/5

Tarangire was my favorite park in Tanzania. We were surrounded by elephants, got close to monkeys and saw most of the big 5. The only thing we didn't see was the rhino, and that was seen at Ngorongoro, one of the only parks left where they exist due to poaching. The Tarangire Safari Lodge had the best view of the park. I will definitely go back someday.

Out of this world experience

Choosing the best park in Africa is like choosing your favorite child! But if one were to choose one park it would be the Serengeti. One thing you will notice as soon as you enter the park is the sheer vastness of the park. When we visited this park in Nov 2014, we got an opportunity to see the big cats. In our three day stay at the park we saw several Cheetahs going on hunt. One with 3 new born cubs. If you do go ask your guide to take to southern Serengeti if you have time as it has far less Jeeps. All the facilities within the park we found were world class.
