If You Want Depth Of Experience, You've Come To The Right Place
5/5

We spent 10 amazing days with Ant Washford in Botswana. If you want some scripted "African adventure" you've come to the wrong place. BUT...if you want to have an experience with someone that has depth of experience, that is a joy to sit around a campfire with, someone that can think on his feet and get things solved and done, then you've come to the right place. I've traveled extensively in over thirty countries in the Developing World. I'd have to say, that if you want to go have a REAL adventure with someone that you can trust, I'd vote for Ant Washford (and Anne), and his crew. You can't argue with experience..

Cholo is a really organized and responsible tour oparator. Thanks him we had the most beautifull honeymoon in Zanzibar we could ever thought about. He took care of everything we needed and was always actively aware of trying to find our needs. We had a great time with him, specially in the Blue Safari, in wich he organized a great sailing, great fish and fruits lunch and incredible snorkelings! I can only truly recommend Zanzibar Cholo Tours to travel in Tanzania!! Thanks Cholo for everything!!!

An Incredible Journey!
5/5

My wife and I contacted Mamaland Safaris via the internet and over the course of a couple of months worked out a very detailed safari plan. Anna was very easy to work with as we built this once in a lifetime visit to Uganda. We were able to visit all parts of the country we desired and were able to experience an incredible variety of wildlife, flora, geography, and people along the way. Michael was our guide and did a fabulous job. He kept us safe on rough roads and knew where to go to find the most interesting animals, people and scenery. His knowledge of animals (including birds) was extraordinary. We had a terrific time and feel like we have made new friends with the Mamaland Safaris' staff and have already recommended them highly to several friends who are interested in visiting East Africa.

Unforgettable safari
5/5

Prior to booking with Restoration Safaris, we asked for and received some excellent references, all of which we verified and a number of whom responded to our questions. We researched various options and asked for a variety of accommodations, ranging from luxury to fairly simple mobile tent camp. This year the rains were unpredictable and, as a result, wildlife migration patterns were not what anybody expected. Owner Bariki and his wife (this is a family-owned company) scheduled our trip so we could enjoy as much wildlife as possible. We had plenty of time to not merely see but observe animals. Our two drivers (we were a group of 8, 4 in each Toyota Land Cruiser) worked together to provide us with a truly wonderful experience. Our trip included visits to a number of national parks as well as a Maasai village, a school serving Maasai children, a somewhat larger village and the Olduvai Gorge (where the Leakys did research). The trip was tailored to our interests. We are delighted to recommend Restoration Safaris.

Fantastic experience!
5/5

From the first email, Shaun was informative and helpful. We were encouraged to ask any and all questions and they were promptly answered. No questions too big or small. The actual safari was remarkable. We combined two of Moriti's safaris for a once in a lifetime experience. The individual attention and small details were a huge delight. Shaun and his Moriti team are exceptional, I recommend them to any and all.

We stayed at Old Vic, the funky backpackers, and had the best safari. Fantastic!
5/5

We sent an inquiry to Kruger Flexi Tours about staying at the backpackers and a safari. Dave got back in touch right away with suggestions for a tour. A few quick (and quite informative) emails later we booked the trip. Upon arrival at Old Vic, we were impressed with how nice it looks in real life. Quite relaxed, great deck, patio, and gorgeous birds. A very friendly family - made us feel right at home. The safari exceeded expectations. Marc was focused on our safety and definitely wanted us to enjoy the trip. It worked! We were more than lucky in seeing a good amount of animals. The food, scenery, people, sense of humor, ensuring all were included, no worries about running off the road as you stare at a huge elephant, and good stories were fantastic. We asked every stupid question. Dave & Marc covered them all. Yes 100 percent!

Amazing!!
5/5

We used ISIA to book a 10 day Kenya/Tanzania safari and then a 6 day Kili climb. Everyone was amazing from the planning process to the execution. They are quick to answer emails, their prices are very reasonable and our whole trip went off seamlessly. All of our guides were excellent as well as the porters on the Kili climb, funny and happy and so personable! We did Rongai route and I would recommend it as it was beautiful and not crowded. On Safari we saw all the animals and our budget level accommodations were extremely comfortable and exceeded my expectations. Try camping - it is more fun than you know to lay in a tent and listen to lions roar from afar ! We even had a group of hyenas visit our campsite in the serengeti one night and that was great fun!

I can't recommend this company more strongly! Just go, you will have the time of your life! Thanks so much to Joao and everyone at ISIA for an amazing trip!

Provided wonderful planning assitance with thorough and timely respones all at a very fair price.
5/5

Working with Ben and Aurelie was a great experience. As independent travelers, we had specific ideas about where we thought we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. Their on-the-ground knowledge and experience gave us relevant insight and guided us through the whole process. Their suggestions were spot on and made for a great trip. Timely responses and detailed info was routine. And, the price was better than most packaged options.

Amazing sights and relaxing get away

Fantastic time - driver picking us up was amazing and really chatty and friendly.
Pilanesberg was awesome.
I recommend doing at least 2 nights - I only did 1 due to time restraints, loved it but would have enjoyed more of the facilities if I was there longer.

A lifetime experience!
5/5

We did 5 days and 4 nights of safari according to the advice of It Started in Africa team. It couldn’t be better. We saw all the big 5, the chosen parks were awesome as all the staff (guide and chef). I don’t have words to describe how careful ISIA team can be, I honestly felt that for them our experience and satisfaction is a priority and they were able to adapt and deliver it. They also helped us with everything in our Zanzibar’s trip and what a huge help it was.

Please keep up the passion you have for this and for sure i will to do it again!!!

For those who are searching to have this kind of experience, don’t think twice to do it with It Started in Africa.
