Surprising and amazing experience
We wanted to make a private tour through uganda for its nature and birds with a car and driver/ guide
Our contact person in Holland, Sander, managed a driver who was a birdwatcher himself. How lucky can men be??
John, our driver, was very kind, helpful and experienced. The roads in Uganda are very bad, but we felt safe!!
We stayed in hotels, banda's and tents on the most beautiful places. A view on the lake, rainforest our other spots with wildlife.
All meals and dinners were good and we had a very nice and good Christmas in one of the lodge places.
Everything was like agreed with Sander. We look back on a great adventure and very good organization.

The safari was simply amazing! We had a wonderful time and enjoyed an experience we will not forget!
Our 4 day safari to the Kruger Park was such a great highlight during our travelling in South Africa. The guides became like friends in no time and we liked the fact to be the only guests (the two of us). The dinners prepared on the fire were wonderful and we were so lucky to see that many animals. We would highly recommend the Wild Planet Safari to everyone!

Great experience
Overall a great experience with Foot Slopes. They answered all my questions before the start of safari promptly and provided the service just as promised. Our driver Juma was amazing. He had great knowledge of all the animal and plant species. I went to Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Tarangire. Maybe all the safari operators can think of ways to imrove food as some people had stomach issues, but Foot Slopes was great in taking care of people who had any health issues. I totally recommend it.

Didn't get what I paid for!
I have booked a three days and two nights private safari to Amboseli National Park.
On our way to Amboseli the car broke down (I understand it happens). We waited for a taxi to take us to the park and then we finally joined a couple who was on a private safari and not so happy to have other people joining their safari.
For me it was my first safari and I ended up seeing a lot of wildlife and the car wasn't even stopping or explaining anything (it wasn't my safari of course).
The next day I had my own plan but since I had no car and no guide (that I very much paid for). I joined the same couple again and I had to comply with their plan. At 8am on the second day I returned to the hotel after a morning drive and until 5pm I had nothing to do! This day I wanted to do a full day game drive but again, no car and no guide and most of all no words from Michael. He didn't try to call me even once (despite he had my kenyan number or he could have contacted the hotel). I wasted a whole day and no apologies were presented nor different activities were planned for me. Simply nothing, just abandoned.
At 5pm Joseph the guide finally arrives after fixing the car and took me on a game drive (1 hour). The drive was awful as we only had 1 hour before the park closed. So we couldn't go deep inside the park.
On our last day we had finally one proper game drive (one out of the 4 we paid for).
Again we contacted Michael and tried to get him to meet us in Nairobi. He agreed and then once in nairobi, of course he was not available.
He apologized over the phone but I wanted a partial refund. I paid a very expensive private safari with a private guide. I didn't get what I paid for at all and then he tried to talk about religion and making excuses.
They don't don't how to deal with customers and I practically paid $540 for a 3 days private safari with 4 game drives (I got one real game drive). As my first safari experience it was awful and it was disrespectful to be treated this way.

A fantastic experience
We booked our 6 day safari through DeTour Africa, and had a good experience from the start. They gave good, accurate information and were very fast to respond to our questions.
The guides were well informed, and patiently answered questions, searched for animals, and manoeuvred the trucks to get the perfect photo opportunity.
There was a definite sense of 'hunting' the more rare animals, sometimes to the extent that we seemed to be racing from one potential site to another. One suggestion I would make is that sometimes when more than one truck is going to be used for a safari (when there are lots of guests there could be 2 or 3 trucks going out) perhaps one could be used for a slower drive? Initially there is a big emphasis on finding the glamour animals, mostly the cats, but once we'd seen them I would have enjoyed looking at the smaller birds and spending more time watching impala and elephants.
Our package included breakfast and dinner - the meals were wonderful! The chefs produced great food, and we enjoyed the chance to try ostrich, kuzu, and pap. However, the Amarula cream custard is the stuff of legends :).
We were advised to take binoculars and I'm really glad we did. We ended up sharing them with most of the people in the trucks who didn't bring any.
One piece of information we didn't have when we booked - it's really tiring getting up around 5am and keeping your eyes peeled for animals for hours on end. Having a nap in the heat of the day was a real pleasure, but people who were staying in the tents found it too hot to spend any time there during the day. If you can, go for the chalets!

Superb experience and service from beginning to end!
I would highly recommend Easy Travel and would use again if in the region. The communication and service was excellent, Beatrice responded to all our queries in a timely fashion and provided comprehensive information it was one of the reasons we choose this company out of the initial 3 that we contacted during the initial planning stages. We had a fabulous experience and were so pleased we went with Easy Travel. It truly was an experience of a life time, friends back home are so amazed at the photo's I managed to take of the animals as well as the places we stayed and the food. The service at all the lodges and tented camps were also excellent.

Tanzinian Paradise
We really enjoyed the trip and having already climbed Kilimanjaro we certainly saw everything that is good about Tanzania and being able to combine the mountain regions, safari experience and the beaches of Zanzibar was brilliant.
