Stunningly impressive
Overall rating
4/5

Everything was superb. The only downside: poor Internet connection at the hotel. OK, it was a time to relax and savor the habitat.

Botswana and the Okavango Delta
Overall rating
5/5

I spent one month in Botswana and from the moment we crossed the border from Namibia we were greeted with incredibly warm and friendly people and a whole host of amazing wildlife everywhere we looked! Its Africa so the weather was sunny and hot but not unbearable at all.

Our base camp was the Old Bridge Backpackers in Maun which is just on the edge of the Okavango delta and the Moremi Game reserve which made it easier to access the Okavango Delta. The backpackers backs directly on to the Thamalakene River and Hippos, Crocodiles, Elephants and amazing birds such as the Lilac-breasted Roller, Malachite Kingfisher and Fish Eagles were often seen. We stayed in a tent in the backpackers which opened directly onto a balcony overlooking the river with a group of Pied Kingfishers using our balcony rail as a perch to fish from which made for some excellent breakfast viewing!

The Old Bridge Backpackers was a perfect base camp with extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff who helped us to organise Safaris, scenic aeroplane rides, boat trips and other activities very easily and at competitive prices. This backpackers has to be up there for best location award! Plus the food was excellent!

The Okavango Delta was the main reason we took a trip up to Botswana and we were not disappointed! With cheap eco friendly safari operators who employ very knowledgeable and experienced guides to choose from you can be sure to have an amazing experience in the Okavango and in Botswana. We also took an scenic aeroplane ride over the Okavango before and during sunset which was an experience I shall never forget. You were able to see the beautiful delta as a whole and see the animals from a unique perspective and offered some incredible photographic opportunities. I am a keen bird watcher and for me I wanted the opportunity to get closer to the beautiful birds of Botswana, so I had to take a boat tour through the delta water ways. This was also an amazing experience which brought you face to face with hippos, crocodiles, herds of elephants and of course the all important birds!

Start to finish an amazing trip and I cant wait to go back!

About: Safarihub
Honeymoon
5/5

Safarihub made our honeymoon safari way better than expected - and we had very high expectations. The staff was genuinely friendly and committed to making sure we had the best time possible. There were many personal touches that were unexpected to help us celebrate our honeymoon. Although most of us who do safaris will only do one in our lives so we won't have a frame of reference to compare - but in speaking to other travelers on safari, meeting locals, and seeing how other safari companies operate (breakdowns, flat tires, etc.) I can assuredly say that Safarihub is an exceptional safari company with a real respect for both their clients and nature.

A trip of a lifetime
5/5

Recently experienced a truly memorable trip to South Africa. We looked at suggested itineraries offered by Wild Wings Safaris and went on to make some adjustments and additions. We wanted to spend more time in some of the places and to add a train journey from Victoria Falls to Pretoria. Our requests and suggestions were welcomed by Claire. She was able to confirm and work out our changing itinerary expeditiously. Any of our questions were answered immediately. We spent three nights in Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, three nights on the Rovos train, two nights in Johannesburg, two nights at Kruger Park, three nights at a private game lodge, and four nights in Cape Town. A great itinerary. In Johannesburg, definitely stay at the Africa Sky Guest House. Wild Wings Safaris recommended places to stay were all excellent. The Kruger Park and private game reserve should both be experienced. Each offers a unique experience. Between both stays, we experienced the viewing of all the big five and countless other animals, big and small. Excellent guides and trackers.
We highly recommend Wild Wings Safaris. Also, very important, they give you a very fair price.

Except one bad experience -a monkey came in my room during my absence-I was very happy with my trip.
5/5

Reny Safari has done everything to make of my safari an unforgettable experience, this because of the efforts of all the persons of the staff. Me and my friends enjoyed a hearty welcome by Regina herself. Moreover Regina gave us the chance to take some rest in a room after our long flight with arrival in the early morning.
The lodges and hotels were excellent and with delicious food. Our capable driver-guide was doing everything to please us and bring us in the best possible position to take top-pictures. Patrick's knowledge of the animals and wildlife is so interesting and simply amazing. That made of this safari a real succes so that we have decided to come back to Kenia in October 2017... with Reni Safaris !

Great safari!
4/5

We just returned from our travels and I’m happy to report we had an outstanding time on the safari! We saw way more animals than we expected, the accommodations were great and the ground crew (Erastus, Simon and Eliud) were knowledgeable and friendly. The trip was well worth the costs and we are super happy we went.

I don't give this trip 5 stars because we had some issues with the air travel part of the trip prior to leaving . Specifically - getting assigned seats and tickets with correct names. Based on conversations with other people on the safari, my own problems with air travel were not isolated issues. Several people remarked about air travel problems. Although in the end our flights, seats and air travel were fine for my wife and me, we did experience some stress leading up to departure.

Once again we are glad we went and are still speaking excitedly about all we saw and did!

It was a wonderful time with our driver Frank an now he is our friend...
5/5

Frank was our driver and he is very TOP !!
His knowlage about his country is great, hi is a perfect driver and also the best tour-guide.
His attainment of the Akagera-Park, about animals und the terrain is very good.
We were on tour with him from sunrise till sunset every day. He was always funny.
We would like to take a lot of fotostops and it was never too much for him.
Also at the trip through the country, along the Kiwu-Lake, Frank knows a lot of beautiful
places and restaurants. We hope we can come back soon to this wonderful country and back to
our friend Frank. We were so said when we left Ruanda, also we left our driver and friend Frank.
