Amazing time in the Serengeti
5/5

We had an amazing time in the Serengeti using the services of It Started in Africa. Great vehicle, they gave very good binoculars, the guide, Mbise, was very nice and excellent driver.

The accommodation in the park was also fantastic, we stayed in Serengeti Heritage camp, and it felt genuine, authentic but extremely comfortable, remote and with lovely staff. Amazing camp for a safari with animals around the camp everywhere.

All in all, a perfect safari.

Fantastic Safari Experience
5/5

I had a great experience with African Heart. From booking to airport pickup, to the safari, everything ran smoothly. Our guide was incredible. He was knowledgable, friendly, and professional. The things we saw on safari also blew is away. I recommend going on safari and I recommend African Heart.

Serious and personal tour operator
5/5

I booked a 1 day trip with my girl friend and our guide Edward took us to the volcano crater lake near lake Nakuru. Edaward picked us up with a solid car and revealed as a very caring and friendly guide. He told us a lot about the landscape, culture and people of the region and guided our wonderful walk around the crater lake. The view was superbe (inclduing wildlife) and we had a relaxing tea time at the restaurant.

The more I reflect on this trip, the more I appreciate how great it was, a once in a lifetime trip.
5/5

Knowledgeable and skillful Gabi and Guido took the extra step to ensure we were witness to over 40 species of mammals and 180 birds at play, at feeding, mating, at rest and at surviving. Phillipo added his touch of humanness, humor and warmth to the Masaai Magic staff. Food, lodging, transportation were also excellent. So much fun being a part of the "5M" tour. Have been raving about this trip to friends and family.

Kilimanjaro Summit and incredible Safari with Mega Adventures was life changing!
5/5

What incredible experiences I had on two different Mega Adventures excursions.
First we were off to the summit of Mt Killimanjaro for a week long trek up the challenging mountain. Our lead guide, Mathew, had climbed the mountain over 400 times so he was a complete pro. Mega Adventures provided most of the required equipment, delicious meals, and competitant staff to get us to the top !
The following week Mega Adventures took us out on a week long safari which was probably the best experience if my life! Our guides were experts at knowing where to find all of the wildlife. During the first hour we saw lions, zebra, elephants, ostriches, gazelles, and giraffes. By the end of the week we had seen every large animal that Tanzania has to offer.
We were thrilled with the resorts that Mega Adventures picked for us for they were all five star!
If you want to see the real Tanzania I highly recommend Mega Adventures!
They will change your life.

Review about Okavango Delta by evimeyer

The flood waters of the Delta cover 35,000 square kilometers, creating permanent lagoons lakes and channels even in the dry season. This oasis has some of the highest concentration of wildlife and an astounding number of bird species.

This is a very lush area with lagoons, swamps, alluvial islands, marshes, flood plains, riparian forests and lush inland forests. Hippos and elephants rule the area. Lots of birds of all kind.

The blooming desert filled with wildlife
Overall rating
5/5

The Central Kalahari Game Reserve is an incredible safari destination during the emerald season (rainy season), when the desert provides lots of vegetation due to the frequent daily thunderstorms. It really is much more of a semi-arid area than a desert, with expansive grasslands and savannah, in which the wildlife roams, hides and hunts. The scenery is breathtaking, the wildlife abundant. I had a particular interest in birds during my trip to Botswana and knew that many migratory birds escaping the cold European winter can be found in sub-saharan Africa. I was absolutely astounded by the numbers of Storks of various kinds in the Kalahari Game Reserve. Hundreds of them were flying high up in the air in kettle formation, or satiating themselves in the grassland and water holes. The amount of mammal species was great as well and their behavior wonderful to observe from the Land Cruiser. Since there is more vegetation during the emerald (rainy, summer) season, the wildlife might be a little more difficult to spot than during Botswana's winter. But a good guide can make up for that and enable you to observe some very interesting hunting and eating behavior.
The scenery was beautiful due to the vegetation and blooms. We experienced rain in the afternoon once in four days, but I understand that it can rain daily. Since our Land Cruisers had a sun/rain roof and very comfortable ponchos, we really were not affected at all by the rain. The temperature was very hot during the middle of the day, but all game drives took place either early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The hottest time was siesta time at camp. In the Central Kalahari Game Reserve night drives are not permitted and all vehicles have to be back at camp when it gets dark.
We stayed at the Kalahari Plains Camp, which was a nice basic camp with really delicious food. The "tents" were clean and comfortable, the shower only salt water, with one fresh water faucet at the bathroom sink.
The Central Kalahari Game Reserve was our first of three camps in Botswana, and definitely a great introduction to the country.

An authentic safari experience
Overall rating
5/5

This is the place to go for an authentic safari experience. The park is huge and the wildlife abundant but the number of other vehicles very minimal. As a result, on numerous occasions we found animals in the wild such as lions and elephants and were the only vehicle present. This is a big contrast to stories we have heard of 10-15 cars for each viewing in the more well known game parks in Kenya and Tanzania. Our trip was also much better value than the larger parks. Would recommend to all.
