The Great safari for 1 night 2 days with African travel tour
5/5

Dear Shabani
Thank you for the great experience. It was an amazing adventure!. We had seen the big 5 like you promised. Our guide Nickson was very friendly. Together with 4 nice Japanese and a guy from Brasil, we had a lot of fun.
Thank you so much.

Excellent trip
5/5

We went an a 3 week holiday to Uganda in 2013. It was absolutely amazing. A guide can make or break your holiday, our guide Richard absolutely made our holiday! He managed to solve problems before we knew they happened.
What a beautiful country and what a fantastic itinerary. We were lucky enough to see chimpanzees on both our tracks and later on actually play with them on Ngamba Island.
Uganda is expensive, but worth the money. The experience is one to never forget. I will travel again with Matoke this year, this time to Magadascar.

I have stayed at Sweetwaters many times, usually finishing a safari here so to relax and still have plenty of game to see. After many years of travelling through out Kenya I find all the travelling somewhat tiresome, so I now come to Ol Pejeta/Sweetwaters for 10/12 nts. That may seem strange to many people but, you can see everything here plus Wild dogs. You do not even need to go on a game drive, nearly all the game comes to the waterhole at some time or the other, except the cats of course, though I did see a female Lion stop by, briefly, last year. The other big plus is the game viewing at night can be great, and viewing game at night is very special. Make sure you ask for a tent on the front facing the water hole.. My recent visit in March, we had Rhino almost every night, and not just one but on average 4 per night. Elephant were less regular, but one night we had Giraffe, plus the usual game. I would say though, Game viewing at the water hole is probably best in Feb/Mar. The only game I did not see this time at the water hole were Beisa Oryx, & Thompsons Gazelles. Many Elephant came most days, on one occassion 36+, Eland on four occassions & White Rhino, the black came at night or at dusk, Zebra were constant and Giraffe about every 2/3 days. If you like birds, there are ample grounds to walk around with some 200+ species recorded. If you want a game drive just to have a change, this can be arranged by the camp.
So if you want a relaxing holiday with a difference, and I mean a big difference, choose sweetwaters where you can see all the game without all the hard work.

Exceptional trip - worth every penny!
5/5

Kenya Walking Survivors Safari was the only tour operator that seemed to reply to both my inquiries and my wife's inquiries in a timely manner. We would send out an email and receive a reply within one day! It was also the most economical option. My wife and I were a little hesitant on sending a bank transfer to KWSS - since we are from North America, sending bank transfers is not all that common here. Mr. Otieno had convinced us to send a bank transfer because we would be saving an additional 5% if we were to do so. I can assure anyone reading this that sending over a bank transfer to KWSS is both safe and reliable, and that Mr. Otieno is indeed a real person!

Upon arriving to Kenya and starting our safari, we had our safari guide from KWSS waiting for us at our hotel first thing in the morning. We were fortunate to visit Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli and Tsavo West during the safari portion of our trip. All of our accommodations were wonderful (AA Mara Lodge, Kibo Luxury Safari Camp, etc) - everything from the rooms, location and food were excellent.

Throughout our trip Mr. Otieno kept in touch with us, making sure that our safari trip was going as planned. Whenever we had an issue or a question, he was literally only a phone call away and would always be available to talk. One thing I really admired about Mr. Otieno is his willingness to accommodate his clients, whenever and wherever they may be. An example of this would be near the end of our trip, when we had returned to Nairobi for our flight back home the next morning. We were unable to spot a rhino during our safari game drives (and we really wanted to see one), so he made sure to arrange another game drive (at Nairobi National park) on our last day in Kenya. And yes, we saw two Rhinos - both the white and black rhino!

Overall, I think KWSS is a very affordable, accommodating and reliable tour operator. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for a dream vacation to Africa at an affordable price!

This was an experience of a lifetime, surpassing all expectations.
5/5

This trip was an amazing introduction to all the beautiful country of Tanzania has to offer. Everything was wonderful: the guides were knowledgeable and friendly, the Land Cruisers comfortable and accommodating to the terrain, the Serena hotels were exquisite, built with cultural and environmental respect. The staff at the hotels were kind, efficient and helpful.
And the safari - oh the safari... It was a wonderland of all kinds of animals in their own environment - no cages, bars or, restrictions on their habitat. We saw it all: lions, zebras, elephants, hippos - all the animals I have seen on videos and movies about safaris. It was surreal seeing it in person and finding out all about the animals and their habitat from our friendly and knowledgeable guides.
Our leader, Alym, was enthusiastic about his tour, very visible, and checking in continuously to make sure all needs were. met. It was most important to him that we had a good time and we did! It is something not to be missed in this lifetime. I thought once would be enough but I am already thinking about my next safari. Thank you to Alym and East Africa Wild Adventures for an experience I will never ever forget.

Great adventures in Kenya
5/5

When planning our visit to Kenya going on a safari was one thing we really wanted to do. After sending our several emails there was almost instant reply from Bicmac Africa Safaris. All our questions were answered, always quick and very friendly. After booking a safari for several days we also booked a few day tours and we were not disappointed at all.
We were picked up on time and had great drivers for all the parks, they all knew lots about the wildlife and gladly stopped over and over again for us to get our pictures of zebras, rhinos, or lions.
For the big tour at the end of our stay we were able to leave some of our luggage at the office, before leaving for Masai Mara and the biggest surprise, they even managed to have a cake for my friends birthday at the camp we were staying at.
We really enjoyed our tours and our stay in Kenya and would always come back again.

Amazing Safari in Kenya!!
5/5

This safari was a dream come true!! We saw everything. The Big 5 and more!! Our driver/guide knew how to spot all the animals and find them in difficult to see places. Chose the upgrade to resorts instead of camping - worth the money for comfort and food. Only comment is there is a lot of car time - hard for younger kids so bring books/entertainment. Thanks for a great adventure!!

The most exciting, exhilarating and beautiful experience - already planning my next trip!
5/5

I went into the Safari not knowing a single detail about the schedule, transport or lodges thought the duration of the trip. I didn't even know what parks or places we were visiting. I had heard so many good things prior to the trip and was with a group of family and friends that I wasn't too concerned. Having said that, I was pleasantly surprised and extremely impressed with the level of service and quality of the experience. It was beyond what I imagined in my wildest dreams. Hotel bookings were made for us. All meals were covered. Transport was safe and on time. The lodges were beyond beautiful ( I didn't want to leave). And most importantly, the ride through the various game parks was incredible. One would expect this, of course, because how could it not be when you are watching lions, elephants and wildebeest in their natural habitat. What enhanced this already beautiful experience, however, was the knowledge and professionalism of the guides. They scanned the parks and spotted out things for us to see. They provided an extremely safe drive, and taught us about the lay of the land. Without the guides, we wouldn't have seen the things we saw. They took us to the right places at the right times. They spotted leopards in trees and cheetahs!! Their expertise was uncanny. The car rides were full of laughter and fun as a result. The vehicles were clean, and the rides were smooth ( as can be). It was a seamless expereicne from start to finish. I never felt unsafe, nor unaccounted for. Questions were answered before they were asked. Thank you East Africa Wild Adventures for the trip of a lifetime.

Sharing Culture in a personal, engaging way!
5/5

I have known Ibrah since I first visited Tanzania in 2008. Prior to starting Afrishare, Ibrah worked with Cross Cultural Solutions while I was a volunteer. He was a consistently friendly face and provided an extremely hospitable environment in my recent trips to Tanzania. I have referred friends to Afrishare for the famous "Kilimanjaro" treks. Ibrah makes sure that you get the deepest level of engagement with the community, while keeping your volunteers costs minimal in order to keep the volunteer placements running.

Afrishare is a life-changing experience. I have met fellow travelers on their paths, and all of them seem to become like family at the Afrishare compound. There are people from all walks of life, and Ibrah does a fantastic job at creating a community. My memories of my time with Afrishare will be with me indefinitely, and I am planning a trip back as soon as possible!

Ibrah works to provide safaris and treks at the lowest possible prices in the region. I have not found any other organization that provides safe, and reliable, safaris at such affordable prices.
