Me and my husband did a 7 day safari to Arusha Park, Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. From the bookings process till our last day everything was perfectly arranged. We were picked up at the airport by our guide Sele. Right away we felt we were in good and safe hands. Sele drove us around for a week and showed us all the parks. He really knew how to spot the animals and he even managed to find a cheetah for us in Serengeti. We were so lucky! The lodges we stayed were really nice. The staff was kind and the location was amazing, small accommodations in the middle of the bush. We don’t like the large hotels and lodges so this was perfect for us. If you are looking for a unique experience we definitively recommend Sunset Adventure.

SPECTACULARLY SPECIAL! Magical Trip.
Our trip to South Africa and Jamila Lodge in the Welgevonden Game Park was a trip of a life time! Sandra Nicol at Traipsing Through Africa made it all happen with the upmost care, excitement and precision. Sandra contacted me and immediately became my guardian angel through the whole journey--from planning, site-seeing, getting to our safari location--to our precarious return home due to the beginning of the world-wide shutdown & CORONA-19 Pandemic.
I contacted Safari Bookings to get recommendations for Safari excursions w/easy access to Johannesburg--I wasn't sure what to expect. I didn't know I would gain a friend in South Africa who knew exactly what we needed! When Sandra called, she listened to all of our needs and hopes. She soon became a wonderful resource for every aspect of our travel to South Africa, including hotels upon arrival, ground transportation, advice on day excursions and local safety. She was in touch on a regular basis to tailor our trip to our needs and time frame. She worked everything around other plans we already had in place in SA and Eswatini.
Sandra recommended a lodge in the mountains of the Waterberg District, of the Limpopo, province--about 3.5 hours from Johannesburg--Jamila. It was absolutely perfect! When the world situation began to change, our plans began to change by the minute as well. Sandra was checking-in and came to our rescue, re-arranging details and accommodations. We were blown away by the personal service of Sandra and the staff at Jamila Lodge. Sandra's concern and care for us went above and beyond. In spite of everything, we had a very private peaceful adventure with wonderful gourmet meals, beautiful luxury rooms, top-notch service, 2 daily-privately guided safari excursions, breath-taking scenery and sun-sets, morning al fresco tea-breaks, fire-side dinners, spotting of The Big 5 and so much more. It was heaven on earth and we could not have done it without Sandra at Traipsing Through Africa! When we do it again, we'll call Sandra!

Excellent tour operator!
I have been in South Africa many times, but I have never experienced such a great tour operator! Everything was pretty well organized and we felt completely at ease and secure. The tour guide was very kind, patient and very competent. The bus was very comfortable - believe me, I have experienced much worse - and the bus driver drove very carefully. I felt safe all the time.

Fantastic experience for our family of 4
Our family of 4--from Colorado, USA-- had an excellent adventure with Wild Planet Safari in Kruger. The staff was amazing and we learned as much about life in South Africa as we did about the wildlife. Our two daughters (13 and 10) had a great time and everyone was very accomodating. I highly recommend it.

Best safari company!
We lived in Tanzania for 8 years and started out searching for different safari companies for guests. The first couple of years we were not satisfied with who we used. I was embarrassed to make a booking. Then we found sunset adventure. I went on a safari first to see how they were and they were amazing. First the communication with booking was by far the best I had found. They were good at giving me different prices and ideas for different places. The safari itself was amazing. The guides went out of their way to find us animals. They were excited to share more information about each animal and took their time at each spot. I have been on safaris that feel like the guide is rushing you but this was not my experience with sunset adventures. My children even commented about how nice they were and how much better this company was than others. I have not have a bad experience and will continue to refer friends, family and guests to them! Best company out there.
