About my trip
5/5

We had this trip on our bucket list for some time, i.e., visiting the Caprivi (Namibia) and getting into Botswana through the Okavango Panhandle and then transverse Moremi and Chobe all the way by 4WD (the rough way). Roughly 4530Km in 18 days.

The Caprivi is definitely a totally different part of Namibia - landscape, people, flora and fauna - you feel immersed in real Africa. The Nkasa-Lupala National Park (alias Mamili NP) is indeed a true hidden gem, where you can experience dry and wet ecosystems /environments. However game is (still) not so abundant as in the Okavango /Moremi.

The Panhandle was marvelous. We had the Okavango for ourselves. Boat trips into the channels are mandatory and they will not disappoint . The birding is superb.

Crossing Moremi into Chobe Savuti and Chobe river front was a trip within a trip in itself. What an experience. It just enriched us as kin travelers to Africa. S19º13'22,0'' E23º23'20,7´´ was the place where we got stuck with our 4WD. No matter how prepared we feel we are, how careful we can be, in Africa, the unexpected can really happen and for that one should be minimally prepared. This comes with proper advise and planning - SafarH Hub has done it again, phenomenally - thank you.

A place for someone who is looking for an excellent safari experience

4/5

Our children had been worried when the brochure described the accommodation as "tented". They needn't have been worried, not many tents include a very comfortable double bed, a good side bathroom (though an outside shower was a surprise) and its own plunge pool. The "tent" was extremely private being set in its own wooded area, the only visitors being the nyala and wart hogs which unconcernedly wandered past.

The ranger we had for the game drives was top-notch. He and his fellow rangers obviously kept track of all the animals on the reserve and we saw a good selection on each drive. However he was also very knowledgeable about the environment as well, stopping to show us interesting plants, birds and smaller animals as well as the "big five".

The only downside was the restaurant in the evening, service wasn't all it could have been and the food presented wasn't what I would have expected from somewhere with Shamwari's reputation.

If you want an excellent safari experience then Shamwari is definitely the place to go, but go on the understanding that the restaurant service might not be of the best.

The view, nature and silence

Masai Mara is a amazing place. Loved the horizons, silence and the variety of wildlife. Never expected it would impress me this much. Been in Kruger before but this is a totally different experience. More endless planes and in it, very easy to spot, birds and animals. Also liked the climate, due to the elevation it was just perfect between 20-24 degrees Celsius.

We also visited Pumba Game Reserve. This was smaller and didn't have the range of animals that Shamwari had. The accommodation was luxurious and the restaurant was good, but the guide was nowhere near as good as Shamwari.

Excellent safari. I highly recommend it!
5/5

My husband and I went on Safari with Unison Safaris. Felix, our driver and guide, is a very friendly , informative and experienced guide. He went out of his way to make sure that we saw a lot of different animals and to provide us with an unforgettable experience. He took us to the Serengeti and we got to experience camping in the wild. He even took us to his house to meet his family and have lunch there.

Regional Tours & Safari organized the best experience!
5/5

My wife and I are so grateful of Regional Tours & Safaris for organizing the most memorable experience of our lives! Maturaf was very responsive and attentive to our inquiries, and Emmanuel (our guide) was friendly and knowledgeable. We were able to see the Big 5 during our safari, and driving at dusk to our tented camp in the Serengeti was breathtaking. The Ngorongoro Farm House was absolutely beautiful and hearing the wild life at night at the Ikoma Bush Camp was amazing. Our stay at the Z Hotel in Zanzibar was relaxing and a perfect way to end the trip. However, walking along the beach might be a little overwhelming. We also opted to do the Spice Tour while in Zanzibar, which was great. We would definitely recommend doing some sort of activity while on the island.

trip of a life time with Wildebeest Safaris
5/5

We booked an almost two week safari trip through Kenya by land cruiser . From our first email, Noah was always willing to answer any questions. He was able to organize for us the trip of a life time. All the lodges were outstanding, food was great, and we cannot say enough about our guide and driver Andrew. Andrew was very knowledgeable about all the animals we saw and he was very accomodating and always willing to answer any question we had. We really missed him after being with us for the entire trip. Kenya is an absolutely stunning country. We can recommend Wildebeest Safaris and would go again with them if we would have the opportunity.
