After check in internet where will be the best place to do a safari we decided to book it in Tanzania and still we think that we’ve chosen the best place, doesn’t matter if the price is a little bit higher than in Kenia, this deserves it

Best Scout in this Area
5/5

In November 2017 we had very good experiences with Steenbok Safaris. The scout, Moabi Marambo was very reliable and punctual. The trip to the Chobe and Vic.Falls was unforgettable.

The trip of a life time
5/5

We had a great experience with Makasa. First before the trip, they were very helpful to propose itinaries tailored made for our wishes. Once arrived it went perfect and the teip was beyond our expectation. Our guide/driver was fantastic with great knowledge of animals and local life and driving safe too! Also the accomodations were very nice, with friendly staff and great locations!
Overall all we defenitely recommend Makasa.

an unforgettable trip to Uganda
5/5

We had a fantastic experience, wonderful in every way: all the camps, their staff, the food (especially the lokal food and the fruits), the car and its equipment, the parks, the nature, the animals, even the weather. Really everything was perfect.

Our guides Faruk and Twaha organised everything with no problem, They were brilliant, humorous and very knowledgeable and took great care of us all. Their quality as animal spotters and their abundant knowledge of wildlife was impressive. Thank you again!

Uganda - the pearl of Afrika
I have to come back one day and for sure I would choose this company and these guys again! If you are looking for someone to arrange your safari, look no further!

Thank you so much for this awesome experience!

local and personal operator that
5/5

We decided to book through a local operator in stead of booking through a travel agency from back home. Admitted, we were a bit nervous having no idea what to expect.
Hello Tanzania were from the beginning very informative and professional and we quickly felt in good hands.
Hello Tanzania kept us informed in the months prior to our safari and were very considering concerning various food allergies, offering different kind of lodges after our choice etc.. Before we even left we felt like they did their very best to make our safari the best experience possible.
They provided us a tailormade solution as we didn't have that much time, but still wished to see different parks. We ended up visiting Selous and Mikumi over a five day period. They offered to pick us up from the airport in Dar free of charge even though our safari wasn't until the next day.
Our driver Edgar was very nice and informative - not only regarding the wildlife, but also regarding Tanzania and the local people.
Our safari experience in especially Selous was fantastic - the reserve has a very diverse nature and lots and lots of wildlife. Selous felt more untamed and wild. Mikumi was also nice and you get to see the animals up very close.
In Selous we stayed at Kinga Lodge which was very nice - and we shared the lodge with a family of baboons. In Mikumi we stayed at Camp Bastian which was also very nice. Both lodges had excellent staff, good food and comfortable rooms.
We decided to drive all the way from Dar-Selous-Mikumi-Dar, which gave us an nice look into the everyday life in various villages etc., but these trips were also very long and the roads are (at best) in bad conditions. Hello Tanzania had offered us that we could fly - and looking back we should have accepted this offer at least one way.
After our safari we went to Zanzibar where Hello Tanzania also have an office. Here Hello Tanzania arranged a free airport transfer to our hotel, and since we decided to book a trip to Stone Town through the local branch which also worked out great.

We can only fully recommend booking through Hello Tanzania, they gave us a great safari experience and excellent service - both before, during and after our trip.

AMAZING!
5/5

I visited Africa during the summer of 2016 with African Adventure Specialists. We had a tour that was specifically designed for our party of 10. We were completely taken care of from the minute we landed to the minute we departed Africa. The trip was the best trip I have ever taken to Africa (my third trip). The tour guides were amazing, the hotels, tents, meals, tours, and safaris. They went above and beyond my expectations. Here is just one example of what they did to accommodate us: My son is a Cross Country runner in college and they set him up with an African Olympic Hopeful Marathon runner to accommodate my son's training while in Nairobi. My son will never forget the experience running through the streets with Stanley. Our tour also included a trip to an orphanage where we spent the day learning about the orphanage and playing with the students. We wanted our own children to experience what life with out a lot is like in Africa. We even brought suggested items for the children. A memory I will never forget, nor will my children. One of our tour guide operators even bought us a corn on the cob off the street when we were driving- what a delicious treat for all of us to share. Without a doubt, when I return to Africa, I will be calling African Adventure Specialists to book my tour.

Reliable and responsive
4/5

I requested information from 5 tour companies. Edith was the clearest, most prompt and she listened to my request. The plan was confirmed and she prepared me well including details about pickup in Kagali. My driver was safe and diligent but had limited English. I booked Le Bambou Gorilla lodge which was minutes from the park and a very good choice. Since I travelled alone, my driver and I ate together. They were quiet meals, hence 4 stars. Nice property with beautiful views and warm staff. Dennis (manager) and the Chef and staff were great. It was my birthday and Chef made a cake and I received a surprise song and celebration. It was very nice. The guides were superb on the trek. We visited the small Muhoza group and saw the youngest gorilla in the area. They were well habituated and a female literally came down from the canopy right on top of us while we were all attentive to the big silverback. What a surprise! But all was well and the guides handled it well as did we all. I recommend a porter. It was very muddy and cleated hiking shoes were a real liability. The guides and porters use flat rubber boots and they did not slip nearly as much. Gaiters are a must with hiking shoes which you can rent at the assembly area. Bring light rainwear as the weather is changeable. Gloves are useful especially around nettles. The growth is quite dense so be prepared to use some muscles that you forgot existed. Most agreed an iPhone is comparable or better than common cameras, except for ones with fast lenses. Movies capture more of the experience than stills but bring both.

Amazing experience in Serengetti and Ngorongoro
5/5

Everything was as planned. The guides are very trustworthy and they hav a great experience in game viewing. It is really incredible how they know the right places to view wild animals. The trucks are big and suitable for safaris. If you choose the option of taking a cook to the safari you will taste wonderful local meal. It has been indeed a great experience. We are planning to come back to Tanzania again with Chanua Africa Safari next summer and visit Selous Park in the south.

Very good! Excellent service. Very professional and service oriented.
5/5

This Safari was extremely good and well organized. Viva Safari is super punctual, very service oriented and professional. All the drivers and rangers were very nice and polite, the staff at the two accommodations were also very nice, the food was very good for the location, and we almost saw the big five. We had an unexpected exciting experience when we witnessed a crocodile eat a baby zebra. The driver, Patrick, who took us to Kruger park was very good and we always got to the locations at the right time. My only suggestion would be to give us a few more minutes to buy souvenirs at the park and at the stop on the Canyons, which was actually very beautiful as well, so a few more minutes there would be welcome. Other than that everything was excellent, out three house was fun and very comfortable. The people that we meet at the Safari were very nice as well, it was a wonderful experience!!

A wonderful trip.
5/5

We couldn't be more happy with our 6 day camping safari. Romeo organised an itinerary that matched our needs perfectly, responding promptly to enquiries and requests. Every aspect of the trip went according to plan, from our pick up at Arusha to the drop off at Kilimanjaro. Our guide, Donald was extremely well organised and his knowledge and spotting ability allowed us to enjoy the experience to the full. We had excellent views of the three big cats, but the highlight was watching the birth of a wildebeest and seeing it make its first tentative steps just 20 minutes later. As a keen bird watcher, ! was happy to see almost 200 species in the six days. Our camping experience was enhanced by the wonderful cooking of our chef, Dogo, who managed to produce tasty and creative meals on a couple of kerosene stoves. A truly wonderful trip.
