Review about South Africa by Trtish Melchi
I was very pleased--off the plane in less than 24 hours and I saw all the Big 5--can't beat that!

Amazing, exhilarating and beautiful !
I stayed at Arathusia--our first outing we saw all the big 5 and lots more. We went out in the early morning and late afternoon on game drives. Just roaming around was fun but when we came in contact with wild game it was spectacular. I was able to take close up shots of Lions, Water Buffalo, Giraffe, Leopards, Cheetah, Hyena, Hippo, Rhino, Nyala and plenty of Elephants. We went to a waterhole where the whole family of Elephants were frolicking and the babies were so cute splashing about while the elders kept a watchful eye.

Review about Botswana by JaimitoFrog
Abundance of animals, relative low volume of tourists, and a political stable country.

Worth going, but plan your trip carefully.
The places is beautiful, and the scenery depends so much on the season. We visited the place in late Oct, and our planned camping in the salt pans was canceled last minute due to the rain. From what I heard, the wet season is full of migratory animals. In the dry season, you can ride out in the pans on dirt bikes, which we did for a only a few minutes until the rain hit. So go there during either season, but not during the transition season or else your trip may not turn out as planned. The meerkat colony is a must see!

Review about Mokolodi Nature Reserve by JaimitoFrog
Game drive are cheap, and you can see animals quite close. Only a short taxi ride from Gaborone. Don't miss the cheetah encounter and dinner at the Mokolodi restaurant. Wild rhinos will eat by the restaurant in the evenings. Can try spending a night in the chalet if you are into that.

Review about Chobe National Park by JaimitoFrog
Large concentration of animals, especially elephants. Chobe river is full of wildlife, and on the boats you can get closer or better views of animals than the jeeps (cars have to stay on the road in public game reserves).

Review about South Africa by Dave
Wow. South Africa exceeded all of my expectations. The people were amazing and being on safari and seeing these amazing animals in the wild exceeded my already high expectations. Incredible place. I'd go back in a second.

Away from the crowds
We took a private game drive in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve and it was a highlight of our trip. The off-road access of a ranger-led game drive was exhilarating and we had an incredibly intimate experience sitting in an open land rover just a few feet from a pride of lions as they awakened from their afternoon nap. Being so close to these beautiful animals was a one of the best experiences of my life. We also had great, close-up encounters with elephants and water buffalo. Being in the open air with knowledgeable rangers made the experience that much better.

Great place to see rhinos and big 5. Worth the trip if you're visiting the Durban area.
