My experience with Odyssey Safari surpassed my expectations this was evidenced by good communication, great accommodations, attractions and most importantly the cost. Great job Odyssey!

Even a 1-Day Safari is Worth the Trip
5/5

My group of 3 booked an overnight safari with Kanuth Adventure Safaris. Kanuth himself picked us up from our hotel in Dar es Salaam right on time. We drove to Mikumi National Park, had dinner, and a night drive, which Kanuth had a special permit for. We immediately saw wildlife, including elephants! The next morning we started early and saw many different species. Kanuth knew all sorts of interesting facts about wildlife, many of which I didn't even know, and I'm in the wildlife profession. After lunch, Kanuth drove us back to Dar es Salaam. Due to heavy traffic, we were running late, but Kanuth was very flexible and used his local knowledge of the area to get us straight to the airport in plenty of time. Overall, it was a great trip and I would take another safari with Kanuth anytime.

Laurette McKinnon was responsive, thorough and very pleasant to work with for all aspects.
5/5

Our agent, Laurette McKinnon, did a marvelous job for our group's 12 day tour. She worked very closely with our group's organizer, Kim O'Grady, to make sure everything worked smoothly and up to top standards. The safari tour at Mala Mala Reserve was amazing on so many different levels!!! The gracious hospitality of our guides and staff, the tenacious and effective tracking, their knowledge and experience and the wonderful accomodations made for an incredible stay.

Form the minute i connected with paperjet i felt excited and special. We were given 6 star customer service the entire time from enquirying, to booking, to actually arriving! Getting a text from justin to make sure we were ahppy with times of flights etc was fantastic. We couldnt of had a smooth flowing trip without paperjet!
We stayed in Kings Camp and i cried leaving! Such an amazing experience. I cant wait to go back!

lies, unsafe vehicle and thief owner
1/5

I have to give this one star since 0 stars is not an option. The one star is for the good guide that Travelust gave us for the first four days of our trip. The guide was very good but then abandoned our group in Bwindi when he left for a family emergency. We lost thousands of dollars to Travelust and owner James Kateeba, had to ride in an unsafe, rusty vehicle with broken seats, windows and missing seat belts. Travelust took our money but never purchased our gorilla and monkey permits. In addition, we had to come up with cash to leave Murchinson National park when Travelust's Uganda Wildlife card had no funds on it. We also had to pay for a new guide and vehicle when our original guide left us at our Bwindi hotel. Before our original guide abandoned us, he told us that he would not be able to take us over the border for the Rwanda portion of our trip since our vehicle was unsafe and we had a police report filed for James Kateeba/Travelust when he scammed us out of $6700 . Fortunately the eight of us on the safari are well traveled and made the best of a bad situation . Despite all the issues, we enjoyed Uganda and Rwanda and gorilla and chimp trekking but please use a reputable tour operator and NOT Travelust.

Fantastic memorable trip. A once in a lifetime opportunity made possibly by Pearlafric.
5/5

From the very first email communication with Pearlafric, we were put at ease and knew that we were dealing with professionals who have high expectations and cater to all clients. We dealt with Innocent, who made suggestions and recommendations based on his wealth of knowledge on Uganda. He gave clear responses to all questions and took great consideration for the needs of us and our two small children. I honestly don't think we would have experienced so much of the country or had such an easy, relaxing trip if it wasn't for Inno's attention to detail and organisation. We will book with Pearlafric again if we ever get the chance to go back to Uganda and are excited to hear that they organise trips to Kenya - which is a place which we would love to visit too!

Personal service and excellent safari - go for it!
5/5

Went on safari in early January and was very satisfied with the arrangements. We travelled as a family, my husband and four children, and I had booked everything from home. We arrived to Arusha after five days at Zanzibar and we were picked up by Paul, the owner of Tanzania Roadside Expedition. He took us to our hotel and then stayed with us in the afternoon, taking us to a good lunch place and showing us where to shop. After that we had a meeting with our guide James to discuss the safari and possible changes to the safari to be able to catch sight of as many animals as possible. Later in the evening, Paul and James took us to a great local BBQ place. It was great and so nice of them to set aside all this time and effort to make us feel welcome to Arusha. Early next morning we set off on our safari with James. James was very knowledgable and a truly good guy to have around and with interesting views on Tanzania and all that this country has to offer. Our safari was pretty compact - only three days - but still we managed to see so much!! It was just awesome! We even saw a rhino twice in Ngorongoro. The only set back was that the first days jeep ride was a bit too long (from Arusha to Ndute area). My advice is that if you want to go all the way to Ndute or Serengeti you should have at the very least four days. My personal favorite was however Tarangire park and all the elephants (we did Ndute, Ngorongoro and Tarangire in 3 days). During the booking procedure (I started the booking 10 months before take off) I had extensive email conversations with Paul, who always was very prompt in replying and explaining to me. Conclusively, I truly recommend Tanzania Roadside Expeditions. Just go - you will not regret it!
