Absolute Organized and Dependable Safari Tour Company
We are sexagenarians and 2 married couples from New York City that traveled to South Africa and thanks to Darren Humphrys, the owner of Compass Odyssey, who made all the arrangements of our 10-day safari tour. His arrangements were so well organized that no time was wasted for us in totally enjoying this vacation trip. His network of service providers from intercity air and ground transportation to and from the airport, B&Bs we stayed in, the luxury safari camp @ the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, tour guides in Capetown and Joburg and the tours within the cities were all friendly, knowledgeable, courteous, prompt and professional that really made our totally interesting and enjoyable, so much so that we decided to return to South Africa or its neighboring countries in the future and see the other places and adventures that we were not able to experience during this trip. And without a shadow of the doubt, we will ask Darren to assist and organize that trip again! I unequivocally and highly recommend Compass Odyssey to arrange your trip to South Africa.

Great trip and good value
Communication was good overall. Was surprised when a Western Union transfer was requested for the deposit as this is not for business purposes so wasn't comfortable with that. The tour itself was great with everything running smoothly. The Safari was great. Leonard our driver was very good. Just one small thing at the end where he could have listened better to where we had to get dropped off but overall thanks for a great time.

African and awesome
Excellent all round, all went to plan.
The chimps were seen every day. Unbelievable really. Great guide, average food and accommodation in Gombe , as expected.
But
We think a trip to Kigoma Station would perhaps have been more interesting than the museum.
A great tour company
We have nothing but praise for the East Africa Adventure Club.
Six of us from B.C., Canada, recently returned from a 3 week Safari in Kenya and Tanzania (Masai Mara, Tarangire, Serengeti , Ngorongoro Crater, and Selous).
This is a small locally owned company in Arusha. Other friends had recommended them.
Through frequent emails and phone calls, they arranged our safari which exceeded all our expectations. We were met by Boniface and Goodluck at the airport on our arrival.
We went mid-range and were very impressed with beautiful tent camps and lovely lodges.
All our meals were delicious; we were not expecting each camp to have such a well trained chef and caring staff.
Either Boniface or Goodluck was with us at all times. Boniface being the organizer and an expert in the culture and Goodluck, an extremely knowledgeable guide with 27 years of experience.
Our safari experiences were amazing and magical. We saw so many different animals and birds in close proximity, including the big five. We visited local villages and got some understanding of our host countries. Our safari vehicles were always well equipped. The final few days were spent relaxing in Zanzibar.
We all formed a great bond with these friendly, fun, and caring men. They did everything to ensure it was a trip we will never forget. 5/5!!

Great days!
How can I find the right words to express my thankfulness to Magda, Adam, Godson and Melek (hope I'm spelling his name correctly!)? They all made my first visit to Tanzania unforgettable. Even if I try very hard, I cannot find a negative word about Flash Safaris & Photography. Asante sana!

Everything was taken care of and I could just enjoy my vacation.
Communication with Luciano Tours and Travel was always prompt and helpful. They answered all my questions and helped me plan my trip to make the most of our time. They were flexible when we had to change plans, because that happens when you are trying to coordinate 4 different people's schedules. They took care of all the logistics and had a schedule ready to give us when we arrived so that I could enjoy my time. They were always on time and the services they recommended for different activities were amazing. I didn't have to worry about any of the details. They picked us up for every activity and made sure we knew where to go when. They listened to what we wanted from our trip and helped make sure we got it at a good price without having to spend a lot of time shopping around. Overall, excellent service. I would recommend Luciano to anybody looking for an amazing trip to Victoria Falls.

Very Corrupt
We were completely taken advantage of by Tony of Kapolondo Expeditions. We inquired through this website for a 5 day safari. We were responded to promptly and given a quote for a private tour for two persons. We paid ahead of time and thought everything was fine until Tony picked us up from where we were staying and took us to a supermarket to get in the jeep. There were 3 other people in the jeep. When I told Tony that he had booked us on a private tour, he said there must have been some confusion. I didn't have the emails printed with me then so I told him we would have to look at it and fix it. What I didn't know then either was that I was being sent with a different company 'Sandlot Tours' and we would never see Tony again. I thought we would be able to work it out with him along the way. I have all the proof that says I booked a private tour and was charged for one. I also have the proof of payment from the other people on the tour who paid half the price we did. I had our guide get a hold of Tony who said that he would sort it out when we got back. He was supposed to transport us back to our hotel at the end as per his agreement with Sandlot Tours (which we didn't know), but he didn't show up and we were stranded in Arusha and had to find our own way back. I believe he didn't want to come meet us because I would have help him to his mistake. He will not respond to any emails I send him now even though he was very prompt before the tour. I just want the difference in money back. At first I thought he had just made an honest mistake and would fix it when he had the chance, but now I realize that he is very corrupt. I had an good time on the safari, we saw lots of wildlife, but we were definitely on the most budget tour I saw and if I paid the same as the other people I would be very happy. As it stands, I feel completely taken advantage of and I can't believe that safari bookings works with such a corrupt company!
