Great 7D6N Safari through a variety of parks
5/5

We were with a group of 3 people when we booked a safari with Doyen. Kennedy was our main contact and was very responsive to any questions we had. We compared price and variation with some other tour organizers and Doyen was better in all aspects.

The tour itself. Both Kennedy and our tour guide Zak (Zakaro) picked us up perfectly on time from our hotel. They allowed us for some breakfast and then we went off. We had one of thos pop-up roof buses with a strong engine. So it allowed us to go everywhere throughout the parks and gave us some perfect picture opportunities. The first days we had 3 other people in our bus but the last days we were the only guests.

We went to the following parks: Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboseli.
Our guide knew the park by heart and together with the other tour operators they used the radio to direct them to places where some rare animals were found. Zak gave us the chance to see the big 5 multiple times and we got some excellent photos of a leopard that would make a professional photographer jealous.

Masai Mara: Has the largest variety and is a great park. You can see all the big 5 although a rhino is slightly more rare as it has a lot of hiding places.
Nakuru: Park is smaller but we have seen lions and we got to see the Rhino from very close. Hotel was goof
Naivasha: We could mountainbike through the park. A unique experience with Giraffes, Zebras, Buffalos and a wild variety of other animals around. (off course this park has no lions, hyena's, elephants, rhinos or hippos). At the end you could do a walk through a gorge.
Amboseli: This park is set at the foot of the Kilimanjaro. A unique ecosystem there provides all animals with water from the Kilimanjaro. Excellent park to see Elephants, Hippos and Hyenas.

The food at all times was more than enough and the sleeping places were good and all had hot water.

Great experience and would love to do it again at some point. The guide and organization made the experience very enjoyable and were always very quick and timely.

Amazing Trip
5/5

Milandi was so great in helping plan our trip to South Africa! She sent a suggested an itinerary based on our time, budget and what was most important to us. She also helped us book dining reservations and coordinate with the accommodations to ensure smooth transitions between planned itineraries. The entire trip went smoothly and truly did end with the highlight as Milandi suggested: the luxury safari - a true once in a lifetime experience! Milandi took care of every travel detail we needed. We highly recommend Cedarburg African Travel!

Sabi Sands has all the animals of Kruger but is a different experience as it is guide led game drives. Here you will get the luxury safari experience. The Guides know when and how to find the animals so your are likely to have excellent sightings. You will be comfortable and well fed. Here I found the safari experience featured in magazines with huts overlooking rivers, nice food around a fire, etc.

The park is amazing for Rhinos. I also saw Wild Dogs and Secretary Birds which I had not seen in other parks. The accommodation in the private chalets in Hilltop is outstanding, large and spacious and even comes with a breakfast buffet in the restaurant which has amazing views.

The best wildlife experience
Overall rating
5/5

I have been to Kruger a couple of times and already have reservations to return. The wildlife viewing is exceptional, I have seen the big 5 on most days. The terrain is varied from area to area and you can have many up close encounters along the roads. There is always something new and unique to watch and see and no day is the same. I prefer self drive. I like to stop when and where I want for as long as I want. For instance sometimes I watch a pride of lions for a couple of hours. Kruger is a special and unique place and an excellent value, I believe the best in Africa. For me Safari is all about the animals and Kruger has it. I prefer to rent self catering accommodation and run entirely on my own schedule. I also appreciate being able to access facilities like bathrooms and shops during my time at the park. The modern amenities are kept in the camps and do not interfere with your experience. The amount of visitors allowed into the park is limited so it does not get overcrowded. Even during busy seasons I have found off roads and areas that were barely trafficked. The park is well run, maintained, and organized and provides an outstanding safari experience in many forms to fit all tastes.

I have always gone in the winter but will soon return in summer which I believe is the best time for birding. South Africa overall is wonderful there is a huge variety of scenery and activities. It is easy to travel and has all the modern conveniences you would expect. They understand and embrace hospitality at every level from exceptionally cleaned rooms to well appointed and varied shops. They cater to all levels of the travel market allowing you to have a holiday that works best for you.

About: Safarihub
A fantastic first experience of Africa
5/5

Marvellous experience. The trip exceeded our expectations. We would like to thank Elisa very much for the advice and suggestions she made when putting together the itinery for our safari. She listened to our needs - we are keen bird watchers but we also wished to experience all the diverse aspects of an African safari. She suggested lodges whcih would give us a range of safari experiences and would fit our budget - a tented camp, upmarket lodge and a more basic lodge. We really appreciated this; it worked very well in giving us a broad safari experience for our first time in Africa. We had also specified a guide with a specialist knowledge of birds. Note had been taken of this. our guide, was excellent. We will choose safarihub for our next trip as well !
