Best Experience of my life
5/5

I have always wanted to tour Southern Africa, my bucket list was Cape Town, Kruger National Park, Vic Falls and the Okovango Delta.
I have seen images before of these amazing places but never thought I would actually get there. Africa is truly such a magical place that will stay in your memories long after you have left and the pictures don't compare to actually being there! Cape Town was incredible, the food and wine and sightseeing exceptional. I really appreciated Perfect Safaris advice in where to stay, with personal recommendations on amazing restaurants and what tours cant be missed, I think this made our trip. The fact that they are local, gave us guidance we would not have achieved on our own.
In kruger, as well, they recommended an amazing lodge, within our budget and within a private area of the Kruger. They explained that being in a private (unfenced) concession in the Kruger meant that the rangers can drive off the roads, and there is less vehicles around. This made for incredible game viewing as we could literally follow the animals into the bush. We saw all the big 5, a dream come true!
The Falls is something else, quite different to Niagra Falls but rather long and powerful with incredible sunsets. In Okovango, we went in a local Mokoro Canoe, we stumbled right on to a group of Hippo! I was quite scared at first, but the guides were amazing and I will never forget it.

Thank you Perfect Safaris for really a trip of a lifetime and I cannot wait to come back to Africa!

Absolutely Incredible! One of the best travel companies I have ever worked with
5/5

From the moment we contacted Catherine and her team, we felt looked after, heard and all our expectations met. They really know what they are talking about and genuinely want to make our trip a trip of a lifetime, keeping our budget in mind. Meticulous planning and keeping in touch made this operator one of the best I have ever worked with. We stayed at a stunning 4 star hotel in Cape Town, perfectly situated for what we wanted, 2 nights in the Winelands (which are simply stunning!) and then we flew to the Kruger National Park for 4 nights on Safari! The best trip of my life, I will always remember it and from now on, I am recommending Perfect Safaris to all my family and friends! You really can't go wrong.
The best thing is, they are in Cape Town, so we knew anything we needed, they were only a phone call away, this gave us huge peace of mind.

Exceptional
5/5

Justin and Atang are utmost gentlemen, from the very first email to dropping us off are the airport they were both highly knowledgeable and attentive. The attention to detail is stunning. They brought us to Phinda and the conversation there and back was eye opening. I learned more about S.Africa in those 3hrs then whole month we had spent in the country. They were able to give us lots of options for safari's with much better rates then dealing directly with a lodge. I couldnt recommend them more.

Review about Mikumi National Park by Tatiana Rudakova
Overall rating
5/5

We were lucky, for 1 day we saw almost all the animals that live in the park. Excellent guide Bob - the most daring of the guides, drove us to the car to the lioness almost immediately. We arrived at 9 am, at 13.00 we had lunch, and after that we continued the safari until 4pm. Lunch cost $ 5 per person. The road from Dar-es-Salam was very dangerous, a lot of wagons with cargoes, our driver many times went to a meeting and miraculously we managed to avoid a collision. This part of the safari - very spoiled the general impression. On the way back, the gasoline ran out and the driver did not have any money with him, he asked us to throw off him for gasoline $ 5. Nobody returned them, of course.

About: Kenya
Amazing! And great value for money, too!

All in all, fantastic trip! Our tour guide, Peter, was lovely and made sure we did see the big 5 (though we had only 1,5 days). The lodge was great too, but the food I cannot really recommend... Definitely worth going... Even if you don't have much time.

Good sense of Africa
5/5

I had a tour to Amboseli National Park and lake Magadi. Chris managed the tour and Ben was our tour guide and driver. Everything were arranged very well: accomodations, food, game drives, hot springs, and transport. Ben is a talent and kind tour guide.

A Trip of a Lifetime - thanks to Kay Adventure Tours
5/5

I am so grateful that we found Kay Adventure Tours on line. It was a bit of a leap of faith to plan such an extensive trip based on reviews only and no personal recommendations. Kay Adventure Tours exceeded expectations both before and during our amazing tour of Kenya and Tanzania. Our tour consultant, Moureen, was courteous, prompt and responsive in shaping a fabulous holiday from start to finish. She put together 3 - 4 itineraries for us; differing in number of days, location of stops and accommodations and helped us design the perfect tour for us. Moureen was also readily available throughout our tour to clarify details and address minor challenges - including the fact that my luggage did not arrive on the airline. I am ever so grateful that she was able to connect with the airline such that my luggage arrived the evening before we embarked on safari.
We had 2 amazing safari guides - Samwel in Kenya and Estommy in Tanzania. Both were very knowledgeable of the parks, geography, and were a wealth of information on the animals, birds and vegetation. They were professional, personable, courteous and fun and went out of their way to ensure we experienced the wildlife in an up close and personal way. From leopards with a fresh kill, to a male lion marking our jeep and picnicking with 2 elephants within very close vicinity. We saw the BIG 5 (repeatedly) as well as the UGLY 5! Samwel and Estommy also appeared to be well connected with the other safari guide drivers as they shared sightings. This is essential as the area is so vast.
We stayed in a variety of accommodations - from 5 star to more humble - all of which were sourced out by Moureen and approved by us before we left. On two occasions the accommodations had to be altered and, each time, we were upgraded. Without exception, the staff and service in all of the lodges and resorts we stayed in were exceptional. Most often the food was delicious and always abundant. They were able to cater to the dietary needs of 2 of our travel companions.
Finally, I would highly recommend traveling to Kenya and Tanzania in January! The crowds were reduced as it was not high season and as a result, we did not have to wait in line to enter parks, obtain visa entry, or to receive service anywhere! The weather was incredible - it was not stifling hot until we reached Zanzibar which is exactly what we wanted for the beach portion of our tour. On safari we were not jockeying with a multitude of other jeeps to gain visual access to the wildlife. And big bonus - very few bugs!
A huge thank you to Kay Adventure Tours - Moureen, Samwell and Estommy. Your efforts and professionalism made this a trip of a lifetime full of great memories and fabulous photos!
