Amazing adventures thanks to Matoke Tours!
5/5

I spent months creating the perfect solo trip to Uganda, Rwanda and Tanzania and Ilse from Matoke Tours was with me every step of the way. She was there to answer my many many many emails almost daily for months! She helped me create the perfect tour! Her patience was very much appreciated. She even checked in and helped with a few things during the tour! Every detail from the lodges, meals, transfers, gorilla trekking, chimp trekking, golden monkeys and park entrance fees where all taken care of! The tour it self was amazing. Musa was my personal guide in Uganda and Rwanda and he was awesome. I love Musa!! So sweet and humble, very professional, informative and made sure I had the best experience! Each lodge/tent Ilse and I picked out turned out to be great and I was very happy with each place. I felt safe with Musa and in each lodge. No issues! Next I went to Tanzania where Hamdani was my personal guide. Hamdami was also great and very informative!

I very much enjoyed my experience in planning my tour and experiencing every wonderful moment. I will definitely use Matoke Tours again for my next trip to Africa!

Great family safari including big 5 and river safari
Overall rating
5/5

For us it was the opportunity to do a river safari that attracted us to the Selous and our trip up the Rufiji River was a nice change from game drives. The game drives were also excellent with very few other vehicles on the road and they are allowed to go off road which is great fun and allows you to get close to the wildlife. This is not allowed at some other parks. We were lucky to see elephants, lions, hippos and a leopard. There are some spectacular birds too. We stayed at the Serena Selous Camp which we would recommend. Accommodation is in luxury tents and there is a spectacular bar/restaurant/deck which overlooks a watering hole that hippos frequent. The service was attentive but unaffected and the staff even let our boys join in their daily football match. The food was excellent and we had no side effects. Another unexpected bonus of the Selous is that there are no mosquitoes which is one less thing to worry about. The weather was pleasant and not too hot in the last week of August.

Wonderful Trip with Viva Safaris
5/5

Tremisana Lodge
We stayed here one night as part of our Viva Safari's tour. We felt welcomed, the food was lovely and the guides were super. The bush walk, fantastic! The best thing about this stay was Tanya, the warden. Her knowledge of the animals and the reserve was spot on. She didn't just look out for the Big 5 like every other guide, but showed us exactly what we asked to see.

Marc's Camp - Treehouse
Welcoming staff, well cooked local food, well organised excursions, cheap bar!
A good trip for young couples of a budget, also idea for single travelers.
It is potluck which room you are given on arrival. They vary in size, some are with en-suite some you have venture outside to the loo. We were very lucky with room 7. Ideal sport for views and en-suite.
Can be creepy at night, you can hear the hyenas calling walking in the dark to your room! We also head a lepoard kill and eat a monkey at 2am.
Not a luxury stay, but a once in a lifetime experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. All the basic needs are met, comfortable, warm showers and hot food.
TIP - if going in the winter, take LOTS of layers. It is COLD at night.

Awesome company to do tours and safari with! Couldn't be any happier!!
5/5

My husband and my friends all used Afrishare trekking for the Mt. Kilimanjaro hike and also for our safari trip.
The Mt. Kili. hike was organized and we wee able to summit. We also came back down the same day only because we wanted to!

We also were able to do the Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro crater, amboseli national park all in one trip!
They were bale to work with us on a price that will fit out budget. All our guides/drivers were excellent and knowledgeable! Thank you again Tom, Sam and Fredy!!!

The accommodation were great and everything was included all the food. Drinks usually aren't at the hotels/camps. Camping was more like luxury glamping.

I will be recommending all my NYC friends to use Afrishare trekking and will be using them again for my future trips! thanks again Ibrahim for organizing everything and being so efficient and quick to get back to me! you are the man!

Amazing Experience
5/5

I don't even know where to begin. The overall experience right from coordinating with Ute on my requirements up until experiencing the trip was extraordinary. Ute has been very helpful in planning this trip and helping out by providing as much information as possible. The trip was as per schedule which was perfect since we knew what was happening each day. The accommodation was luxurious and comfortable and the hotel staff was amazing in every aspect. The safari guides whether to Kruger or to Sabi Sands were very informative and helpful and ensured that we had the best experience ever. I would recommend Roho Ya Chui and Ute Sonnenberg to anyone as I had my first best experience with them and I'm sure that this won't be my last experience with them.

10 days Gorilla, Chimp and Safari
5/5

I had an absolutely fantastic time with Mamaland Safaris. I completed a tour of Uganda where I saw chimpanzees, gorillas and many other animals in several different national parks. The service provided was brilliant, all accomodation was top notch and my guide was helpful and informative throughout. If you are thinking of a trip to Uganda, I would thoroughly recommend using these guys. Thank you Mamaland!

Trip of a lifetime
5/5

I’ve been wanting to go to Africa ever since I can remember! I spent a few days researching and Google’ing on where to go, where to stay and best times of the year to visit ect. Opentourafrica was so helpful (I had loads of questions!). They organized a safari package for me and I couldn’t have asked for a better holiday! Our guide was polite, informative and had a great sense of humor!

It was an unforgettable trip, that I would recommend to everyone!

Dankjewel Opentourafrica for the amazing experience I’ll be back soon!

Fabulous service from Safari Club. Best babymoon ever!
5/5

My partner and I decided to do one last (for now) big trip before we embarked on a family and wanted to head to Africa to combine a trip to see friends in Cape Town with the chance to see the big 5 in action. We spoke to a few tour operators but eventually settled on Safari Club after speaking to Paul, one of their consultants. He was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Africa and was able to put together an itinerary that took in everything we wanted to see and was great value for money. He really listened to what we wanted to do.
They arranged everything for us, all we had to do was get to Heathrow. Communication was great before, during and after the trip. When our flight from Maun in Botswana was delayed and risked us missing our onward connection home they kept in contact with us, our tour guide on the ground and had a back up plan in place in case we missed the connection. Thankfully we made the flight connection and never had to put plan B into action but it was comforting to know there was one.
The trip itself was amazing, after seeing the New Year in with friends in Cape Town we set off on our adventure starting at Victoria Falls which was incredible. We stayed at the Waterberry Lodge on the Zambian side of the Zambezi. We did a spot of line fishing, visited the market and of course saw the spectacular Victoria Falls.
Next stop was Botswana, and even the flight there was magical. When we boarded the pilot asked if we'd seen the falls from the air which we hadn't so he rerouted and flew directly over them, not a site I'm going to forget in a while. During the flight we saw zebra, antelope, elephants to name a few which gave us a taste of what to come. We did two camps in Botswana and both were spectacular. We saw so much wildlife, ate amazing food, drank great wine and beer and slept in the luxury under the stars.
What made this trip special was the people. Paul from Safari Club arranged such a fantastic trip that all we had to do was sit back and enjoy. The guides, hotel staff, transfer agents looked after our every need but it was never intrusive just there to help when you needed them.
I would highly recommend Safari Club if you are looking for a safari, especially if you want a tailored made itinerary and don't want to do your safari's in the back of the huge buses. Top marks. I wouldn't hesitate to rebook with them.
