An Unforgettable Experience
5/5

When we began our Kilimanjaro hike, we had no idea we were about to meet the most energetic, enthusiastic, hard-working, and talented group of friends gathered as representatives of Tanzania Expeditions. Their singing and dancing before, after, and during the hike; paying attention to every little detail from setting up a dining table with candles to delicious three course meals; carrying birthday cake to make my daughter’s 18th birthday a special one on the last day of the hike; and most of all, their passion for the nature are all aspects of this trip that we will carry in our hearts.
Living overseas for many years and traveling to many different countries, we have managed to create many fond memories, but none could be compared with the experience we’ve had with Tanzania Expeditions. Quality of service, professionalism, and wide smiles on every single individual were the qualities that surfaced throughout our hike. We were amazed of our Chef Dioniz’s capabilities to cook the volume of delicious meals with what limited resources the mountain allowed to be carried up. The chef’s assistant and our server, Casian, still makes us laugh as we remember his sense of humor. Our guides, Erick and Kabebi, are professionals in their work, knowing their mountain well and how to help those who are first time hikers on it. Mamba, the lead singer, and all the porters who were ready to sing and dance at a drop of a hat created an uplifting atmosphere when we felt exhausted after a long day’s hike.
I had to come off the mountain on the third day due to altitude sickness while my family continued to the summit. During my recovery, Justin, the owner of Tanzania Expeditions, and Erick, one of the tour guides, made sure that I was well situated and taken care of. Erick took me around for daily excursions through whom I have learned so much about the local culture. Justin came every evening to provide phone connection to my family so I could still be part of their experience. When one thinks how all of these details could possibly be thought of, one word keeps surfacing to my mind—passion. Justin, tour guides, chefs, and all the porters shared the same passion which fueled their enthusiasm and attention to the detail. We happened to be the lucky ones to be among them.

We would strongly recommend Tanzania Expeditions for anyone who is ready for an experience of a life time. As for us… we definitely want to go back again, hopefully sometime soon.

Africa Ubuntu (aka Cuan) has sent us on two amazing African adventures so far!
5/5

When planning adventures of a lifetime it is important to have a travel agent, who listens, explains why what you want to do will not work, advises what will work, and brings the African adventure to reality and within budget guidelines! Cuan is that travel agent. In 2013, he sent us to Kruger Park/Timbavati, Panorama Route, Vic Falls, Chobe NP, and Okavango Delta saw the Big 5 in the first day and a half; the whole trip was amazing beyond all expectations. Last year we were sent to Nairobi NP, Amboseli NP, Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti NP, and Selous NP and for somewhere different Stone Town. We were a bit apprehensive about going back to Africa so soon after our first amazing adventure, we should not have worried, as this adventure was very different: landscape, animals and once again amazing beyond all expectations. So if an African adventure is on your bucket list, to ensure you have the best experience ever put yourself in the safe hands of African Ubuntu .

Thank you for an extraordinary and unforgettable experience!!
5/5

9 marvelous days of being on the road with three Safari trucks and tour guides from Savannah Explorers. Nothing could have prepared us for such an unbelievable experience!! From the very first moment we felt very comfortable with Greyson, George and Masaki. They were excellent and safe drivers and everyone in our group of 21 from Germany (including my two wonderful sisters Karin and Inke) had only good words to say about them. George was our guide in car No.2 and I felt that he had such an amazing intuitive connection with nature. I am sure he spotted every single camouflaged animal on our way that we would have missed for sure (never mind, we DID see the giraffes and elephants without his help!!), and we saw them all: Elephants, giraffes, Hippos, lions, leopards, monkeys, even a cheetah. George also showed an incredible knowledge about them and their natural habitat and never got tired to explain everything in detail.
Masaki knew a lot of German, so the company even provided the group with a German translator.
Greyson made sure that all went smooth and without problems. Did he ever sleep? He was always smiling and in a good mood and ready to answer any question or offer his help . After a long day when we relaxed in beautiful lounges, our tour guides cleaned the trucks, stocked them with cold water, soft drinks, breakfast and lunch boxes and yeah!!! an ice cold beer for lunch, with lions just sitting right beside our truck.
Thinking back of all these long but unforgettable hours in the comfortable safari trucks I feel that Savannah Explorers offered absolutely top quality service and I would love to recommend them to anybody who is looking for a very well organized and well prepared Safari experience with super friendly and efficient guides. All of us in our group agreed on this and my sisters and I hope to come back to Tanzania one day for another unique experience.

Trip of a Lifetime
5/5

We gave Cuan a budget and a time frame and he sent us on the trip of a lifetime. We were away for a day short of three (3) weeks. If you were to say what was the high-light of the trip, we'd have to say "every minute between landing at O.R. Tambo Airport, Johannesburg on day one and leaving O.R. Tambo Airport on day 20".
During our trip, we continued to to receive helpful advice via e-mail: e.g. When in Cape Town - Us: "Don't feel like going up Table Mountain today, too tired, maybe tomorrow". Cuan: "Go now! Weather tomorrow is not encouraging". So we went and saw a spectacular sunset. The next day the mountain was closed.
The safaris were fantastic. During a night safari, we got so close to a leopard that we could have patted it (not recommended). At no time did we feel in danger. The trackers and the guides were exceptional.
Add to this the Battlefields (Boer War and Zulu Wars), the bigcat rescue place and Victoria Falls and you've just begun to hear about the "high-lights".
We cannot speak too highly of Cuan and African Ubuntu Safaris.
Anyone contemplating a trip to Africa should first call Cuan McLaren.

Well organised trip and experience of a lifetime
5/5

Ubuntu were recommended to us and they did not disappoint. They recommended and put together an itinerary of 3 different safari lodges and tented camps in South Africa and Botswana as well as the Victoria Falls hotel in Zimbabwe. All were unique and spectacular with their own natural features and interaction with animal life. Ubuntu staff were responsible for various internal ground transfers for accommodation and side trips, all reliably running according to schedule.
Thanks Ubuntu for making this trip a sensational experience.

Safari and Zanzibar Trip Exceeded Expectations
5/5

My girlfriend and I just returned from a 3 day safari (Tarangire & Ngorongoro Crater) and a 7 night trip to Zanzibar, all booked with Safari Infinity. Overall, Lucia, Simon and the team exceeded our expectations. There is a reason these guys have such good ratings.

Things we specifically liked were:
- Extremely speedy and helpful e-mail contact (from the first day to the very end)
- High attention to detail
- Talented, knowledge and personable safari guide (Adamson)
- Follow-up throughout the trip (by phone or in person) to ensure everything is running smoothly
- Excellent logistical planning. Transfers and transportation all worked perfectly
- Tailored our safari to what we were looking to see
- Great local knowledge of the areas in Tanzania that helped tailor specific activities
- Nice safari vehicles (we had a private vehicle which was nice)
- Tried to go above and beyond by upgrading our rooms or even arranging special bottles of wine/champagne
- Friendly, laid-back but highly competent staff

I would not hesitate to recommend Safari Infinity to anyone looking to book a safari or other travel.

Best park in Tanzania
Overall rating
5/5

This park is, hands down, our favorite place in Tanzania. No matter what time of year you visit, you will always see lions, cheetahs, oodles of wildebeest, giraffe and many other animals. Depending on the length of your stay, you should also be able to see a leopard or two.
Highly recommend it!
