Completely reliable in all aspects of the tour from initial booking to the last day.
5/5

The company was excellent, the tour interesting and the guide (Bob) very well informed. The gorillas in Bwindi was the highlight. I enjoyed driving through the countryside even though some of the roads were very rough. There weren't as many animals around in the national parks as I'd like to have seen, but that's the luck of the draw. July is a good time to travel (just after the wet season). Highly recommended.

Perfect 3-day Safari in Selous
5/5

We had a lovely time in Selous with Grassroots Safaris. We booked a 3-day Safari, which was awesome. The Wilderness Camp is a lovely place to stay, it's more of a hotel than a camp! Service was more than perfect and we could see hippos from the breaktfast table. The combination of boat safari, game drive and walking safari was very nice as we were able to see very different animals in a short period of time. Communication with Grassroots Safaris was easy and everything worked out as we wished. We would highly recommend to book a Safari with Grassroots.

A life changing journey!!!
5/5

After a hard farewell we are back from Tanzania since a few month. Our adventure with Guruguru Safaris could not have been better.
It was our first journey to africa and we are still blown away. Absolutely stunning!
The complete organization of the planning went easy and all our wishes were completely fulfilled.
Our guide Peter made an effort on doing everything perfectly for us.
With his help we experienced so many things about his country, the people and the animals, that live there. He is a very experienced guide and made our journey an unforgettable adventure within every single minute.
Of course we should also not forgot Costa, our chef! We would have not even dreamed that the african kitchen could be that delicious.
We can truly recommend Guruguru Safaris to everyone who is seeking for a real adventure.
We would do it again- right away.
This was a life changing journey. Thank you so much!

The best trip ever in our life!
5/5

Asante sana Dismas for the indescribable and amazing adventure!
The name of the company reflects exactly how Dismas works and what you will get – ambition pure. Dismas knows the parks very well, so that we have seen areas and moments, which were not seen by everyone – for example the crossing of the Gnus. Our cook, called Mr. Bean, made the trip to perfect. We got some of our best meals in our life! Both guys were very professional and the chemistry between us was very right, so that the trip was more than perfect, we had a lot of fun and became new friends. :-)
We did a 7-days tour to Tarangire, Lake Natron, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. We have seen a lot of beautiful and different landscapes and all animals that we could imagine and we were really close to them. We have seen babies of lions and leopards that were playing with their mom, the migration and crossing of the Gnus through the Mara River where crocodiles were waiting for them. At Lake Natron we did a short... Read more trip with a Massai guy to an amazing waterfall – this is really recommendable! During the trip we spent the nights in tent camps to be very close to the nature, so that we had some experience with buffalo and zebras in the nights. But please guys, use a head lamp for your pee break in the night – otherwise the buffalo could think you are a lion! :-P Oh, I have to add that the starry sky in the unlighted areas in Africa are indescribable! More stars than you can imagine!
After the safari trip we did the Mount Meru trekking in 4 days. Apart from that we didn’t get our own booked ranger, for which reason we had to join another group, which was uncomfortable, it was also a very great trip with an amazing landscape and view to the Kilimanjaro! However, I advise you to do this only with some experience in trekking because it is a bit risky.
Also the contact with Louise for the planning of our individual trip was very great. She gave us a lot of information and suggestions and was patient because of our special requests.
We will come back definitely!

above all: authentic friendly, hospitable and flexible and also making your stay worth.
5/5

Uganda was a completely unknown country for us to go, we were never in the middle of Africa before. It was nice to be with a local who was there for you and who also liked being your guide and talk with you about the country and all other stuff that might come up. The tour was well organized and when we changed our mind about seeing something else it was no problem to adjust the schedule. Before leaving and during the trip it was easy possible to contact the tour operator with worries about some events (ebola in west-uganda at that time) and we felt comforted after contact. So in one word: TOP!

Seamless trip planning!
5/5

I worked with Anke at Cardboard Box to plan a self-drive trip across Namibia. She was amazing every step of the way, from providing recommendations on our route, timeline, and lodging choices, to quickly responding to my many questions despite our very different time zones. She even helped in adjusting our car rental the day before we arrived when our travel partners let us know they packed twice as much luggage as expected. In addition, the Cardboard Box website was so helpful in providing general Africa travel advice, fun tidbits about Namibia, and inspiring me to think about the next trip I want to take! And as a final touch, their offices are beautifully located in what I can only call a little oasis in Windhoek, so for our first stop after 30 hours of traveling to get to Namibia, it was a welcomed sight. I highly recommend Cardboard Box's travel services to anyone considering visiting Namibia!

Amazing wildlife experience!
5/5

I was part of a 14 person extended family group and we had an amazing once in a lifetime experience. Seth was in regular communication with the lead organizing member of our family before and during our 14 day travels to set up wonderful hotel and tent camp stays through Lake Nakura, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Amboseli Parks. Seth arranged for terrific driver/guides from Inno Africa (Opany and Dickson in Kenya) and another company in Tanzania (Sam and Ali) who were very knowledgable and passionate about introducing us to the myriad of species from the tiniest of birds to all the big cats there are to see. We also learned a great deal about local culture, especially the Masai through a village visit. Everywhere we stayed the staff were super friendly and kind, the food delicious, and accommodations comfortable in inspiring settings. Our group ranged in age from 14-85 and we all loved this adventure! Many thanks to Seth and all the Kenyans and Tanzanians who welcomed us so warmly!

A wild adventure through the bush!
5/5

My friend and I did the 10 day Bush to Beach semi luxury itinerary with Tanzania Roadside Expeditions, and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. It started with the friendly and prompt email communication with Paul, which is why we decide to book with his company. He was flexible and attentive, working with us to create an itinerary that met our desires. We were picked up from the airport by our driver, Ezekiel, who we enjoyed talking to, both answering and asking questions, on the hour long ride to Arusha. Ezekiel and Paul met with us to explain our itinerary over dinner our first night so we would know what to expect and to answer any questions we had. Ezekiel was a highly informative and helpful guide with a great sense of humor. We really enjoyed getting to know him over the course of the week and learning from him. Thanks to him we saw the Big 5, along with so many other amazing animals. There is no way we would have been able to see what we saw without him. He put us in... Read more the right positions to get AMAZING photographs! He even taught us some Swahili! When it was time for us to head to Zanzibar, we were so sad to say goodbye to Ezekiel, and we hope to go back and climb Kilimanjaro with him in the future!

Before describing our experience in Zanibar, I should say that we were more than impressed with the accommodation we stayed in throughout our safari experience. We wish we had more time to enjoy some of the amazing amenities the hotels offered, although we would never have given up the time we spent in the bush (we highly recommend getting up before the sun- the animals are far more active in the early morning). The food was stellar in all locations, consisting of many options, some of our favorites being the barbecued meats and curries served with ugali, as well as delicious fresh fruits.

Zanzibar was also an awesome experience. We highly recommend the Spice Farm excursion and wandering around Stone Town to see the beautiful doorways. Also, don't miss the Zanzibar pizza at the night market! We really enjoyed the beautiful and relaxing time at the beach in Ngunwi.

So overall, we had the most amazing time and could not recommend this company more highly!!!

Trully faithfull and passionate
5/5

Our holiday was well managed by Sylvester right from the time inquiry. He was very helpful in advising on the best program which he tailor made to suite all the seven group members. The guide Mr. Rashid was very friend and knowledgeable besides having sense of humor. He was smart in noticing animals in the park which enough information. Our visit to tradition Maasai Village was awesome with dances and traditional foods. The hotels were precisely chosen by Sylvester and completely swayed us away with delicious foods and decor.I will very much recommend the agency.
