Kurger Safaris gave us the best part of our Holiday.
5/5

Chris and Niki at Kruger Safari's really made us feel like we got the best trip possible. We were collected right on time and welcomed as old friends from the get go. We got a fantastic introduction and description of our trip; we asked a lot of questions! The truck we got onto was also something else! It's big and spacious and simply amazing. From then on it was really good food, top notch tents and equipment and lots of animals of course...

Chris or Niki would teach us about all of the animals in an interesting and easy to remember way. They gave us all the best facts and left out the boring stuff. They spaced the information out so that we got something new each time we saw something. We were constantly asking questions and getting pure enthusiasm from Chris and Niki in return. I would say that the most important part of any holiday is fully committing and being curious to get the most out.

If you are looking for the best Safari, this is it!

Thanks Chris and Niki,

Matilda and James

a wonderful experience
5/5

We booked a 5-day safari including Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater. Peter was very friendly and helpful in replying to emails promptly and answering any questions we had about our upcoming safari. He also met us at the airport (Kilimanjaro) and at our hotel after the trip for our feedback. He also arranged the airport pickup and drop-off for us for a reasonable cost.
Our driver and guide was Godfrey. He had an incredible eye for spotting animals, and shared his vast knowledge of different types of animals with us. We even had fun learning a little bit of Swahili from him. During our visit, many of the animals had moved away from the Serengeti due to the long grass being a good hiding place for predators. Godfrey knew this and took us around the Ndutu and Ngoronogoro plains areas on the second day instead, where we were able to see huge herds of wildebeest and even see a cheetah enjoy his wildebeest meal! The day our safari ended, he dropped us off back at our hotel in Arusha and recommended some good places to visit within walking distance -- we had a great dinner at Khan's BBQ just around the corner.
During our trip, we stayed at Eileen's Inn, Katikati Tented Camp, and Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge. The accommodations were all clean and comfortable. Our packed box lunches were simple, since we needed to be able to eat them while out in the parks, but the prepared dinners at each location were of very good quality and delicious. We had a good variety of food during each dinner, which typically included 2 starches, 2 meats, and 2 vegetable dishes, as well as fruit or other dessert. We really enjoyed our vacation and would recommend Bestday Safaris to anyone who is interested in visiting Tanzania.

excellent communication
5/5

We had excellent communication with Afritrip. When we arrived at the destination it only took us minutes to book in. We did do some changes to the initial booking and this was handled very professionally.

Pembury Made Our Trip Wonderful
5/5

We started with no real information about South Africa,, what to see, how to do it. Octogenarians, we were unclear and apprehensive about what we could do. Tammy Harding was patient and responsive in answering our endless questions (like would the local airlines allow our medical equipment as carry-ons?) The program we ended up with was just about perfect.
Seeing Cape Town with Terence as a guide was marvelous -- worth a trip in itself -- as he explained not only what we were seeing but his apartheid experience and its effect on his family.
The two Safari Camps were wonderful, all we'd been led to expect. Beyond the game-viewing, Kirkman's Camp itself was a real hoot.
We came in part to take photos and we did -- thousands of them that we'll continue to enjoy for a long time.
All arrangements and transfers went like clockwork. A first Class tour.
So, we started with a rough idea and Tammy turned it into a marvelous visit,

An unforgettable trip with loads of fun
4/5

Let me come straight to the point: I had a wonderful trip and enjoyed every minute of it! I loved the scenery and the wildlife and I loved life unfolding itself in the villages and small towns.
Even though - and, yes, I do have some reservations - we found that the programme was a bit too full, especially at the beginning of our safari. Here we were, pale Europeans, trying to forget about having to watch the time from morning till night - and what did we have to do?? Live by the clock - from morning till night!!!
Another criticism I would like to get off my chest is the fact that the trip was rather expensive. Just to give you one example of where we did not receive value for money is the packed lunches we got from the lodges which were way too expensive.
But - as I said before - I loved the trip, not least because of the great company I had in our car with our competent, kind and knowledgeable guide and driver, Michael, who took those long, exhausting days on the roads in his stride and made sure we arrived safe and sound. Thank you!

Our Guide Made Our Trip
5/5

Beginning with the planning communication, months before, with Claire in the office, and ending enthusiastically and safely 3 weeks later, having hiked, shopped, cooked, safari'ed, birdwatched, eaten and kibitzed every day together throughout KZN with our knowledgeable, enthusiastic, attentive, bright, affable guide, Paul, I have great memories along with accompanying photos.
The hard cover detailed itinerary book sent to clients is a very nice and useful touch.

Great Safari!
5/5

My wife and I booked a private safari through Ancient Wild Safaris. Michael was very helpful during the planning phase and communicated everything clearly. Upon arrival in Kenya, the driver and Michael were prompt and ready to go at our hotel. We reserved the 3 night and 4 day safari to Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. The Masai Mara was everything I hoped it would be. We saw all of the Big 5 and more. The accommodations in the Masai Mara are budget, so be prepared for that. In Nakuru, we upgraded and stayed in a resort - much needed after 3 days on the "bumpy road" in the Mara.

All around, it was an incredible experience. Michael and our driver Mouindi were very hospitable, the vehicle held-up though the rough terrain, and the experience was true Africa. Ancient Wild Safaris is an excellent budget safari and I hope to go again soon!
