Unforgettable 5 days safari experience in Masai Mara for affordable price but best service !!!
We recently did a 5 days safari in Governors Camp at Masai Mara. Julius offered us a fair price with top service.
They picked us up from Diani Beach to Ukunda Air Strip to fly over to the Musiara Air Strip.
However, the pilot was a bit lost and only let us out at Ol Klombo Airstrip by mistake. Due to days of heavy rain, we were unable to get to Governors Camp by jeep.
After a short call to Julius with description of the problem, we had a driver who drove us to the nearby Mara Intrepids. There we got a coffee and were able to have a look at the lodge. As soon as we had finished our coffee, we were driven back to the air strip. A small plane was already waiting for us to continue our flight.
Only when problems arise you realize how much the booking with Julius was worth and what contacts he has to solve our problem in the shortest possible time!
After 5 unforgettable days at Governors Camp, we returned to Diani Beach. Everything went absolutely smoothly. Julius' drivers were incredibly nice and very punctual. The driving was fast, but always careful. My wife even fell asleep during the drive, which doesn't happen to her when I drive ;-)
As we had changed hotels after the safari, Julius kept our luggage for us for the duration of the safari. Apart from the fair price for an unforgettable experience, Julius didn't charge anything for the extras, but took them for granted.
As Dixon our safari driver is retiring in 5 years we have promised to visit him again before retiring !!!
Of course via Julius....
Many, many thanks again and see you and your team soon !!!

Excellent tour with a reliable company and excellent guide
Communication was good, efficient, accurate.
Everything promised and planned was fulfilled to precision.
The guide, Zaid, was excellent: very professional and reliable, friendly and most accommodating. His continuing affort to see that all went well made the tour a wonderful experience.
The Toyota vehicle was very old, though sturdy, and worked well, but its age showed in some respects regarding comfort, especially with seat environment, too weak a suspension system, and difficult to operate seat belt.
The tour covered all major and intersting sites, as promised and beyond, and all technical and administrative aspects were well taken care of.
Hotels and lodges were fine except a few where hot water was not always available.
Meals were mostly good, except in one location (Kidepo) where portions were insufficient.
During discussions with the office that led to the tour, some price quotes seemed too high, which required further negotiation in order to reach reasonable agreements.
Some members of staff were clearly interested in meeting the needs and wishes of the customer and his well being, while others focused mostly on payment details in a manner that could be more sensitive.
In conclusion, it was an excellent tour, rewarding and most enjoyable, with a very reliable and experienced guide who went out of his way to ensure all went well.
At the same, vigilance and close attention during cost discussions prior to concluding the itinerary can prove money saving.

Great safari trip
We loved the safari trip. Lulu was our contact point to organize the trip. Very clear communication before the trip and during.
The food and accommodation were great! We noticed that some other groups had brown bag picnic lunches while we were almost the only ones having a real cooked meal with real plates and cutlery for lunch which was super.
The welcome at Ngedere Lodge was really warm with nice staff, and the rooms clean and comfortable. The dinners and breakfast at the lodge were also very good.
Our tour guides were different each day. They were all very experienced. Special thanks to Godson who was a great driver and efficient in bringing us to spot different animals, and to Malisa who was so knowledgeable, informative and energetic.

Great safari company, Great experience
We had a wonderful Tanzanian safari with Safari Soles! Magreth customized our travel experience which made for an excellent private tour with our guide, Isaack, who was wonderful! The hotels and lodges were great as was the food and service. Our guide was able to find the big five, as well as lots of other animals. We also visited several different tribal villages, the Hadza - the last of the hunter gatherers, and a second tool making tribe. It was fascinating to learn about their customs and to see how they are still living today. WE also visited a Maasai village and learned about their customs. All very interesting.
We loved Serengti, South Serengeti, & Tarangire National Parks. The night safari at Lake Manyara was a well worth it! The lodge, Escarpment Luxury Lodge, was a great! We could have stayed an extra day in Serengeti. The lodge, Kubu Kubu had views to die for! We also loved staying at Lions Paw in Ngorongoro, and suggest two nights there as well as two days in the crater.
We loved seeing the great wildebeest and zebra migration as well as the endangered black rhinoceros! The water buffalo, hippopotamus, lions, leopards and cheetah were also amazing as were the warthogs, baboons, giraffes and gazelles. Did I forget to mention the hyenas? Unbelievable! It was a life changing, amazing adventure.
The people in Tanzania were very friendly and kind. We had really good experiences with them. Bring lots of $1 bills and other small denominations for tips. Yes, they accept USD.
We also went to Zanzibar. It was not as interesting as we had imagined. Although Stone Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, it was in poor condition and not very interesting with many tourist shops all selling the same things. We did, however, go on an excellent tour of an organic spice farm. We also visited Chumbe Island where we saw coconut crabs. We snorkeled there, but the reef was not in good condition due to over fishing. Nevertheless, the island is worth staying on for one night for ecotourists. It is carbon neutral. The huts on the island were nicely done. The huts reminded me of the tree house from the movie Swiss Family Robinson! It was rustic, but quite nice.
The weather in Zanzibar is extremely hot. Therefore, if you do not like very hot and humid climates, I would just stay on the mainland. Next time, I want to visit South Tanzania to see the chimpanzees!
Safari Soles is a small tour company that caters to a personal experience. It is competitively priced and certainly less expensive than some of the larger companies. I highly recommend them of you Tanzanian safari. I will travel with them again!

The tour operator sincerely it is really awesome
Strongly recommend this provider. Booked a 4 day group safari with them and found the following really strong:
1. Communication - very easy to work with them on the logistics from airport pick up to airport drop off. Also they were flexible on some of our asks such as vegetarian food.
2. Safari tour and guide - guide was knowledgeable and patient. We saw lots of animals including Rhino and leopard which can be more difficult to find. Goodluck was super.
3. Food - very delicious and high quantities. They were also able to accommodate vegetarians. Prosper, the chef, was great.
4. Lodgings - mix of tent camping and one night in sleep huts on a mountain overlooking Rift valley. Super cool to sleep so close to nature and animals.
5. Community vibe - they work locally with taxi drivers and hostel providers, so feels better integrated with the Arusha community
Overall exceeded my expectations and really recommended!

knowledgeable and responsive
what we loved about tropical wild was that they listened to what we wanted and created just the right experiences for us. this was not an off-the-shelf tour. our guides were knowledgeable and responsive. they made excellent suggestions and encouraged us to try some activities we might not have—and we were glad we did.

Quick response, full of knowledgable, hard work for help clinet
I booked 6 days travel in his company. In order to full use of the traveling days. I choose to travel Lake Natron 1 day, Ndutu for two days and Serengeti for two days, Ngrongro 1 day. In the first, I have alot of confuse about how to plan my trip, because travel one person will high cost. RO could help me to meet my budget. I wonder whether go to Lake Natron to take beautiful photos of Flamingos, they help me to solve how to most close to this beautiful birds.
Silas reply emails very quickly, has good english and good communication. He is always help me to resolve whats concerns of me, such as umbrella, mosquto net, quiet room etc. That makes me decided to go with his company with no worry, and yes it's a good decision!
Fredy is my driver and Guide. He is not only a photographer but also a knowledgeable man familiar with a lot of animals. He has three books and he could tell all of birds and animals. So in these days, although I travel alone, He talk to me a lot of about interesting things about these animals, there habits, funny things. And every day he will make sure next day's details in advance to make the travel smooth. Hhe tried to make me to see more animals for six days. Even after heavy raining days, the road becomes very mud, he also decided to through the mud road with other cars for safe leading to interesting places in Serengeti,in there I saw several cats,Chetta. The road is very difficult, but they collaborate together and help each other, conqure the mud road in the end! That touching me a lot.
Every day I live in the tented lodge. The lodge have good meal and I feel I have fat a lot in these days. Everyday I can hear the animals sound such as lions, hyana out of the tented lodge. It's real natural.
Thanks for this team!
