A tour experience like no other
5/5

My experience with 'Jossec Tours and Safaris' at Maasai Mara (5 days) is one of the most memorable one out of all I have had in the recent years. They are good in time management, clear and constant communication, and they have experienced tour guides who kept on raising our expectations as we moved along and at the end they never disappointed us. Their tour vans driven by friendly drivers are superb and just perfect for any expedition one would think of. I would personally recommend Jossec Tours and Safaris to anyone of you out there who wishes to spend some quality and exciting holiday anywhere in Kenya.

Exceptional Service For an Unforgettable Trip!
5/5

This was a bucket-list trip. When we decided to take the plunge, we talked to friends who had done such a trip. Roar Africa got rave reviews, and we liked the fact that they would be making all arrangement themselves, rather than subcontracting that.

They worked well with us to find a trip that met our budget. And they did an absolutely fabulous job of setting it up, choosing which camps for us to go to, having people help us with all airport transfers (and there were a LOT of them on this trip, and generally answering questions along the way.

It's an expensive trip, but you get what you pay for. If you can afford to go with them do it!

Adventure of a Lifetime
5/5

From the very beginning, I knew we would use Pembury to book our 2 week Sabi Sands Safari/Capetown/Winelands/Victoria Falls vacation. Tammy responded within 24 hours to any and all of my questions in great detail, and customized our trip based on our desires. From beginning to end, our visit went off without a hitch - including our various transfers between hotels and airports, meals, and air travel. The pacing was also perfect for my husband and me - we felt we had ample time to rest in between activities and never felt rushed. Tammy booked our safari at Idube in Sabi Sands Game Reserve - an experience that exceeded our expectations. By day 1, we had seen the big 5, and each subsequent game drive was thrilling. If you are seeking expert advice and individualized attention for a private safari vacation (and not have to worry about details), I would recommend Pembury in a heartbeat!

S. Africa for Animal tour, a feast for the senses.
Overall rating
5/5

My wife and I visited S.A. principally to see wildlife. We sought a tour via the offices of Safari Tours, who on knowing our goals, came up with a list of providers, three of whom caught our interest, one subsequently was selected. Safari made sure that we had appropriate replies from the operators chosen, & were most professional about the whole process.....they do a great job!
The weather was great, a relatively mild winter..only needed to bundle up in the early morning/late evening. The guides were fully committed to our seeing all that was possible. The food on the whole was adequate, but limited.Transport was well done, though it is as well to note that travelling from Jo'berg to Kruger takes a half day in one direction, & a full day in the other, so book something that will give you adequate time in the park. Having only two passengers on the tour helped to ensure that we missed nothing. The real highlight was seeing the "Big Five" on two consecutive days, & four of them on the third...(uncooperative rhino!) The whole trip rated among the best we had ever done!!

We had a fantastic holiday in Kenya. Our tour operater Seven By Far did an excellent job. Well organised, and well executed. Our tour guide/ driver, Robin, was very knowledgable, kind and helpful.
Kenya is amazing. It exceeded our our expectations in its natural beauty and importantly in hospitality.
Overall, an unforgettable experience of lifetime

Travelling through Uganda with our guide from Gatatu Safaris was the highlight of our trip.
5/5

The company kept in very good contact with us throughout the planning stages of our trip and delivered on every level throughout our travels through Uganda. Our guide was extremely good and he could not do enough to make sure that all our expectations (and then some) were met. He was extreme;y knowledgeable and navigated us expertly through the gorilla and chimpanzee trekking. He was very personable, communicated really well and we felt comfortable being in his hands throughout our trip. We would thoroughly recommend using this company if you are thinking of travelling through Uganda. It was hassle free and really rewarding in terms of great value for money and professionalism.

Too much driving
1/5

My wife and I did the 8 day safari with Wildebeest safaris and it was the worst vacation experience we have ever had. The itinerary is not very detailed and we had no clue we would spend sooo much time driving from park to park. 6hr drive, 9hr drive, day off, 11 hr drive, day off, 5 hr drive, 8 hr drive, and 7 he drive is what our 8 day safari consisted of. The guides were good and the accommodations were good, however this much driving completely ruined our experience and I would never do it again. There was two days we were supposed to do 2 game drives but we didn't do any since it took all day to get to destination.

Great Service, reliable and quick. We had a great time with Kenan.
5/5

We booked a safari from nairobi through the national parks Amboseli, Tsavo West & Tsavo East to the coast in August 2017 just after the elections.
Before the trip we had many questions and the answer from Jane always came reliably and quickly - that gave us a good feeling that it is the right holiday.
We had a great time as a family with 2 children.

Kenan is highly recommended.
Next time, of course, Kenan again.

Yes first I hesitated to transfer the money into the "wild africa" -
but KATO, email and whatsapp gave me a good feeling - and we had a wonderful time. Thanks Jane.

Fabulous Experience at Affordable Price
5/5

Face of Africa was completely tuned into what our group of 21 nature journal sketchers hoped to encounter, and they made it happen! Hamadi put together a 7 day/8 night package covering Tarangire, Serengeti and Lake Manyara National Parks and two days in Ngorongoro Crater. Riding in four reliable, comfortable vehicles we saw all the animals, large and small, feathered and otherwise, plants and panoramas to suit each personal checklist. Our driver/guides were experienced and knowledgable. Additionally we had one dedicated guide whose range and depth of knowledge was in itself a wonder! I felt safe on all roads and conditions, even forgoing my seat belt before the week was out.

We stayed a few extra days in Arusha at Green Mountain Hotel, which I enjoyed for its exposure to local life and the warmth of its staff. Our room had a great view of people on the street, the Haleluya Shop and hair styling being sensibly done on the sidewalk. However, we couldn’t avoid having a bathroom sized pool after showering—improvement needed there. All the hotels were wonderful, peaking at The Retreat At Ngorongoro. We’d been warned to eat only cooked or peeled produce, but ended up eating all the tempting salads at the hotels without any problem. I think the best food may have actually been at Kenzan Luxury Camp.

I’m thinking about a return trip. If that happens, I will most certainly plan it with Face of Africa.
