Africa Tours Adventure - Gorilla tracking in Uganda
5/5

I was in Rwanda to see my friend for a week and contacted Africa Tours Adventure a month before for a gorilla tracking tour. First I thought to track the gorillas in Rwanda but not enough advance notice for the limited time I had available for my vacation. Nicholas then recommended to go to Bwindi National Park in Uganda. He organised a tour for me only - single person - private tour - excellent choice! All staff at Africa Tours Adventure were extremely responsive to all my queries, knowledgable in preparation of the trip and guided me professionally through the whole tour. I am extremely happy with my gorilla experience! Thank you to Nicholas and Harrison at Africa Tours Adventure!

My stay was good and enjoyed the trip very much, some of my observation for improvements are the Hotel food availability ( 1st two nights stay) was a concern as late comers were short of food at the Buffet, the room was good but the bathrooms needs improvement, My special appreciation to the driver(Issac) he was a great help and you should retain such dedicated employees. Overall we enjoyed the tour very much.

A unique adventure which exceeded expectations.

Our guide, Jane Bettenay, has a wealth of experience and no end of amusing stories which she told around the campfire.
Our cook, Pini, had a wide and varied amount of dishes to suit us all. Everyday she delivered tasty, delicious meals and the rest of Jane's staff were efficient and friendly.
All the campsites were great!

Susan and the team at Adroit were friendly and accommodating in helping me select a wildlife experience in Uganda. They are Govt approved which is crucial and operate with the upmost professionalism in an industry that I was warned could be very unreliable. I did not have time to do a safari but was looking for an experience that would expose me the animals of Africa in a day. I was given a driver who navigated the processes for me and was picked up and dropped back at the hotel. I could not recommended enough the chimpanzee sanctuary visit as it can be done in a few hours and provides the closest to seeing chimpanzees in their natural habitat. I also visited the Zoo which I was reluctant to do as I heard it was not very exciting.
However, I was convinced to pay the extra and do the feed the animals tour. This experience blew my mind and has left a lasting impression. A personalised tour of the Zoo with a highly informative Zoo keeper was a highlight. He introduced me to a beautiful Cheetah that I actually patted. I was petrified but it was such an awesome experience. I fed the lion behind bars, saw Rhinos up close, nearly kissed a glorious giraffe and fed a beautiful baby elephant. An overall wonderful experience. Thank you Susan. I will be back to do a safari.

Exceptional customer service and highly experienced, friendly and professional staff.

We'd been considering going through a larger company, but figured we'd also check out some smaller ones, including Instincts Safaris. We requested a quote and received a reply within a day from the co-founder Niels. He personally worked with us to customize our safari and make all the arrangements for our trip efficiently and thoroughly.

Our guide Rabani was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the region. We were really looking forward to the gorilla hike, and it surpassed our expectations. The hike did take four hours and was quite rainy (and muddy), but we were able to gather some amazing sights that made it worth the while. Accommodations were comfortable, especially refreshing after being outside all day. It was a wonderful trip, and I'd certainly choose them again!

An incredible, fullfilling experience.

I went for a 10 night safari with Ulinda in July of 2017, and it was an experience I won't forget for a very long time. The wildlife was incredible, the food and accommodations were spectacular, and the chance to get away from it all and spend 11 days was exactly what my body and mind needed.

The trip was not without a bit of drama, but Jane acted promptly and made the best of a bad situation, and it all worked out for the best in the end.

Driving around it seemed like most of the tour companies in Botswana use the large, open walled vehicles. And as someone who has been on 5 safaris before, I highly recommend against those types of vehicles. They have no protection from the elements so you freeze in the morning and roast in the afternoon, you get to spend 10+ days crammed in with 11 people you just met, and most importantly, there's nowhere to rest your camera for taking pictures.

Truth be told the vehicle type was the reason I chose Ulinda in the first place, but their accommodations and food totally blew my expectations away. A special shout out to Jane's staff who work really hard all day long to try and make the experience as amazing as possible for the guests.

For a day trip, Arusha National Park is pretty special.

I only had one day to spend on seeing wildlife after a week of work in Arusha. Arusha National Park proved to be a very accessible location. It is easy to get to and has an abundance of wildlife if you're prepared to spend some time to look around. It may not have all the animals, but if you go with the proper expectations you will not be disappointed.

About: Tanzania
the wildlife sanctuary
Overall rating
5/5

Tanzania is the perfect country for a safari trip. Here you find tons of animals, landscapes of breathtaking beauty, a wide range of accommodation and travel solutions. During the month of August, it is full of tourists but it is such a big country with such big parks that it remains a wonderful destination. In August the weather is perfect, hot but windy so it is bearable. Food is not a big point cause it is repetitive.
