Loved it!!
5/5

I recently did a Tanzania safari with Shadows of Africa. To say it was amazing doesn't even cover it!! From all the animals we saw (including the Big 5 plus more), to the beautiful landscapes, to the extensive knowledge of our guide, this safari more than blew away my expectations!
We stayed in a different place each night. At each hotel (from budget to luxury) all the food was so tasty and the people were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating.

This is one vacation I will be talking about forever!!!!!

absolutely amazing!
5/5

Recently back from a 2 week trip in Tanzania. I can't say enough good things about my time there. Shadows of Africa planned an absolutely amazing safari and helped put together an awesome side trip to Zanzibar. The entire trip, down to each tiny detail was flawless.
Not only did we see all of the Big 5, but we saw them several times throughout our safari . While having dinner in the Serengeti, we could here lions talking to each other in the distance....truly unbelievable!!!
Our guide was a wealth of knowledge. It was easy to see that he loves his job, and truly has a passion for Africa and its wildlife and culture.
A lot of people say that their african safari was a trip of a lifetime....i can't say that, because it was so amazing, I know I will be going back again. This will not be my one and only time there!
Thank you Shadows of Africa!

The Best Trip I've Ever Taken!
5/5

My safari with Tanganyika Ancient Routes was the best trip I've ever taken in my life, and I've traveled a lot. Charles and his team helped us every step of the way. We changed our itinerary multiple times and the team made that very easy for us to do, allowing us to customize the trip to our liking.

Tanganyika Ancient Routes was focused and professional from the moment we landed. They were waiting for us on time and made me feel extremely comfortable in an unfamiliar culture.

Our safaris were amazing. We saw everything we wanted to see and the guides allowed us to stay and watch certain groups of animals for however short or long of a time period we wanted. They made the long drives fun and taught us about the land, animals and language.

Our accommodations far exceeded my expectations. We stayed in lodges that made us feel like we were part of the culture, rather than busy hotels.

I always felt safe and taken care of.

I would not hesitate to take another trip with Tanganyika Ancient Routes.

Excellent Experience - Highly Recommend!
5/5

Myself and two friends took a 7 day safari with Budget Safaris, we went with this tour company after receiving a recommendation from a friend who travelled with them last year.

Our first stop was Murchison Falls National Park, it was a beautiful park and one of the best I have been to in East Africa. Our driver Peter provided us with excellent opportunities to take lots of great photos, he was patient and made us feel very comfortable throughout the tour, we never felt like we were being rushed anywhere, it was great.

After Murchison Falls we went to Chimpanzee trekking in Queen Elizabeth National Park, it was a great experience made even better by the easy to follow tracks. The following day we went on a boat cruise and saw lots of hippos and crocodiles both in the water and on the shore. That evening while the sun was setting we set out on an evening game drive and saw lots of wildlife, the sun setting in the background was a bonus. It was beautiful.

Bwindi was our next stop, our permits allowed us entry into the south entrance of the park. All the park guides were very helpful during the treks. After some time trekking we were with the Gorillas, it was amazing to see how the interact with one another, we were amazed at how close we were to these beautiful creatures. They don't call it one of the greatest animal encounters on the planet for nothing!

We selected budget accommodation for the duration of our tour and all accommodations were more than adequate, clean rooms with hot showers and most lodges had Wi-Fi :) The trip passed without one incident. Budget Safaris vehicle was in excellent condition to handle the tracks in the parks. I highly recommend Budget Safaris for the outstanding service they provided at a VERY reasonable price.

great
5/5

Jocky Tours have been great partners for many years now. They know their trade very well, and we communicate very good. We are happy with the knowledge they posess on the savannah. The camp and the food is also very good. The only thing is that some of the drivers drove too fast from Kisumu to the camp. Some of the students didnt feel comfortable with that.

You won't find friendlier, harder working, more accommodating tour operators!
5/5

I used to live in South Africa and have been to the Kruger Park more than once, both on a tour and on many self driven stays, so I had a fairly good idea of what to expect from Kruger. As a group of 4 families with kids (half of whom had never visited South Africa) we decided that taking a tour and having the advantage of being all together in the overland truck while game viewing would be a fun and practical choice. With 7 kids 10 and under we also looked forward to not having to organise, cook and wash up after meals!!!

Chris took into account our wishes for where we wanted to visit in the park, although some practical considerations (our group required a large campsite area to fit in all 7 tents plus two vehicles and a large area for us all to sit) meant that we had to stay more central in the park rather than stay in the busy southern areas - smaller groups at less busy times won't have this consideration.

Throughout he made accommodations for our requirements (having so many small kids meant timing meals a little differently than would suffice for all adults) and we changed up meals, drives, accommodation sites and worked in a very last minute game walk with an excellent guide organised by Chris & Nicky. Chris always had a smile on his face and was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the local bird and animal life. Travelling in the high truck gave a brilliant vantage point for game viewing and allowed the kids to sleep on the floor on the (majority of) days we opted to aim to be out of the gates at 4:30am in an effort to take advantage of the best game viewing. Accommodation was in safari tents which stood up to a torrential overnight downpour with no worries of getting wet. The first time visitors to the park especially loved being accommodated in tents for an authentic park experience.

Lastly, the food was absolutely delicious and prepared with obvious pride and care - they put a lot of thought and effort into the meals that they serve and it really shows. I put on 2 kgs in a week!!! They kept the "honour bar" well stocked at virtually cost prices and everything was kept cold with regularly stocked ice (and we were welcomed to keep our own drinks and water cold in the coolers as well).

I can say that while I am the kind of person who normally prefers the control of self driving in Kruger, I thoroughly enjoyed the advantages, perks and benefits of being taken care of by Armadillo Overland Safari & Adventure Tours in their awesome overland truck! Recommended for groups, families, first time visitors to the park and anyone who wants to relax and let someone else take care of the details!

a real tour that lives up to all expectations with no unwanted surprises
5/5

our tour was the best holiday we have had . there were no hidden charges, quite the opposite with extras not included in the initial booking .the meals were top class , accommodation likewise . the safari drivers knew their job and worked for the group to enable max viewing of all animals. they became part of the group mixing well and making our trip as pleasant as could be. the itinery was just right - well balanced.
I really believe the success of our trip came at the start with cuon ,he is so passionate about his country and his business which is what convinced me to book with Ubuntu . when we booked they had no reviews and only been operating a couple of months and only contact was via internet. not too appealing , but cuons passion was infectious and we took a chance . best gut feeling ive ever had . do not hesitate to book your holiday --you wont regret it.

Modest means but great experience
5/5

We trekked to the Roof of Africa with Karibu Travel. The booking arrangements were seamless. Six travelers were picked up punctually at their respective homes/hotels and shuttled to the Dar airport in a clean, and relatively-new vehicle. The trip was seamless-from arrival at Mountain Inn to the modest log cabin bunk beds at Horombo and Kibo. We were well-fed and motivated by our guides, who stuck by our side through the tough moments and the more leisurely times on the mountain. Overall, Karibu's service exceeded expectations.

Excellent…! You are the best Charles (Mwema Africa Safari)
5/5

Mwema Africa Safaris made my family trip to the great Rift Valley a memorable life time event, being our first trip to this place we found Charles and his team knowledgeable, accurate to details and well organized, we had tried other operators for the same request but Mwema Africa Safaris came out the best after another friend introduced us to you guys, Charles offered us a nice package in less than 2 days, his responses were timely and honestly we couldn’t resist taking his nice offer, we appreciate the excursions to Lake Naivasha, Hells gate and the nice views of Aberdares, the hotel accomodation was superb, nice food and accomodation, the staff were friendly this was wonderful. We promise to travel again with Mwema Africa Safaris, I have no doubt to refer any of my friends to you because your services are excellent, we truly appreciate your hospitality and now will be planning to visit Amboseli National Park / Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara any time next year
Will keep in touch.

Happy Holidays…..
