Broken Promises
I booked a safari though Kenya and Tanzania with Galloping Safaris in 2019. Walter provided a nice itinerary for myself, my husband, and my two best friends. Other providers were less expensive, but Galloping Safaris had great reviews, so I went with it. Walter demanded prompt payment, that the money be wired to him immediately, which we did. The safari took place in February 2020. There were several issues throughout, including Walter and his staff not listening to requests to change small parts of our trip, lying about why we couldn't go to a place we planned to go, and skipping events we had paid for all together. We had paid for two nights at The Four Seasons Serengeti, and Walter instead had our guide take us to a less expensive hotel three hours away, one that was riddled with tsetse flies, without letting us know that we wouldn't be staying at The Four Seasons as planned/paid for. We demanded that they take us to the Four Seasons as planned the next day, but when we arrived the staff at Four Seasons let us know that Walter had not paid for our stay, and we were left sitting in the lobby. They told us that Walter often does this, and they do not extend credit to Galloping Safaris anymore, so we would have to wait until he paid to be taken to our rooms. We asked the Four Seasons staff to confirm the rest of our trip with the hotels in our packet that were booked, and not one of them had been booked or paid for. My guess is that Walter is unable to pay for the current clients' reservations until the future clients give him cash, which is why we were stuck waiting without paid reservations even though we had submitted payment in full to him many months earlier.
When we had issues with the trip Walter ran from us, ignored our calls, had our guide disappear. We drove hours out of the way on our last day of travel to meet up with Walter and settle up our issues, and he never showed up.
Through phone calls and emails Walter acknowledged that he was at fault and owed us a refund, which he never sent. We have contacted him multiple times and its always one excuse after the next.
I have traveled all over the world and have never felt as scammed as I have with Galloping Safaris. I strongly recommend that you book your trip with a more reputable provider.

Booking our tour with One Horizon Africa was very easy. The day of our tour, our guide was on time and waiting in the lobby of our hotel for us. He was an amazing tour guide throughout the whole day. We didn't really know what to expect going into it and it all exceeded our expectations. The knowledge, communication, and background information we were provided about the organization as well as on our tour with the women was incredible. Any questions we had about One Horizon or Nairobi in general were answered very well with great knowledge. Throughout our drive to/from the village our tour guide made sure to point out various things on the side of the road and the neighborhoods we'd be passing by/through. Everyone that we interacted with that day always made us feel very welcome and had open arms. We chose One Horizon Africa when booking our village visit as we loved the fact that it was helping women and children in need. This organization started from the ground up and has really blossomed into an amazing thing. We left with such an amazing experience that no other tour could have provided.

The consultant who planned our trip was Calvin and he was very thorough and accommodating right from the beginning. Being OCD attention to detail is very important to me, followed by the budget. Everything fell into place and our Safari was just AWESOME,,difficult to describe in few words. We saw the big 5 and Hassani our driver guide was super fun and knoew where all the animals hung out. Thanks for the experience, will spread the word.

African safari of our lives
The visit to Tanzanie with 5 of my closest friends to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire which are some of the most beautiful natural places on the planet exceeded all my expectations. Ernest our host and guide took take care of planning and guiding our trip that we had no issues. Staying in tented camps gave us the real safari feeling that beat all the other trips we have done as a goup hands down. Ernest gave us the best value and he will remain on my quick contact list for future trips.

Great Holiday Safari
We did a 12 days safaris in Kenya,everything went well as planed.Flexivel management arranged and adapted our budget for all we wanted.excellent places,excellent attention from guide Jonathan .We had a private safari Land cruiser,with plenty of bottles of water for our selves this was perfectly well arranged.

INCREDIBLE SAFARI
We had amazing five days in Uganda with African Rock Safaris all managed by Christopher the proprietor. It was through Queen Elizabeth, Bwindi forest and the relaxing Lake Bunyonyi.
The trip was everything and more we had expected, with perfect locations for our accommodations and a fun guide Moses all through the journey, he was full of knowledge about Uganda. He knew everyone everywhere we went.
We shall not forget the life-time experience of the gorillas, spectacular views from the lodge rooms, great food every where. We shall visit again, Uganda is incredible.

Exploring Ethiopia beside the usual paths
I wanted to combine a business trip with a private tour in Ethiopia, together with a friend. The roundtrip of 5 days was fully organised by SimienEcoTours. We had a choice of various options. All was perfectly organised, starting from preliminary documentation, domestic flights, hotels and local guides. As a very experienced traveller, I was exited about the way we travelled through Ethiopia. The local guides were simply great in terms of knowledge and responding to our individual wishes, all this made our trip unforgettable. Atfter this visit, I have put Ethiopia on my personal "bucket-list" to go back and for sure, I will travel with SimienEcoTours again.
