Cheetah at Kidepo Valley Park
5/5

The Kidepo Park is the absolutely amazing for safari and the whole experience was completely safe and exciting. We were lucky to see cheetah along with zebra buffalo and elephants. Sometimes it can get boring but this is the real thrill coz when cheetah appears to you out of no where it feels very different and amazing.

It was thrilling exciting and a beautiful experience
5/5

First of all, I would like to mention the professional way and friendly manner in which our mails were answered by Edrisa - thus getting us a nice itinerary together in quite a short time. Really good as I stared booking quite late.
We have visited various countries in Africa and we were enchanted by the diversity of the scenery. Rivers, lakes and mountains and almost everywhere we went it all looked green and fertile. What surprised and deeply touched us all was the enormous enthusiasm with which all people we met shared their knowledge with us. And knowledgeable they all are! This was incredible.
How lucky we were with Charles, our driver guide, and Edrisa the organizer of whatever had to be organized. Charles had a solution for everything. His knowledge on any subject it being either his country, people, tribe or kingdom, game or his favorite topic: birds, whatever we asked, Charles always knew. We felt safe and secure with him.
We also like the way the local community benefits from tourism. Of course I booked rustic standard camps and most of the accommodations met our expectations although. We all found the beds, wherever we slept, very good and comfortable and had our own restrooms. The communication service was just right, it was really good.
We had a wonderful time and hope to be back one day to discover more about your beautiful country

The Pearl of Africa
5/5

This is a my 2 time to travel to uganda, the Pearl of Africa and using the same company mumdadugandatours becouse of it's fantastic hospitality and high without. This time we travelled in a group of 13 people. In the first place is was stressed becouse of the big number of persons, however all went well and the group was well managed, thanks manger for the good cooperation, the price given was favourable, the guide was excellent he was knowledgeable and provided the good information during our trip.
We travelled to mabamba swamp with sheobill, kibale forest National, queen Elizabeth , bwindi national park, kalinzu forest And ziwa rhinos sanctuary. We had chance to interact with them. It's my pleasure to recommend mam dad uganda tours as the best partner to use, my 2 time using them is a vivid experience for that. Best wishes from Lee

It ended in a court case
1/5

I had a few days of meetings in Botswana and booked two Safaris with Lucky, one before the meetings and one after. In the first Safari (4 days) everything was ok. Moremi of course is a wonderfull place. The guide and the chef did a great job - all of them are freelancer. After the second safari (see further down), I am not sure they will work with Lucky again.
A much worse experience was the second safari (it should have been 7 days CKGR and Nxai Pans). Lucky didn‘t do any advance preparation for the trip like buying food or booking accomadation in the parks. When the safari started he was not in Maun, but in Gabarone, an unexpected meeting he said.
He sent the guide to pick me up, but didn‘t provide him with money for food, disel or accomodation. With the help of a friend of Lucky we could buy the most necessary things. Even I cashed in some money I had on me. Lucky said he would join us after two days and bring the required supplies. He didn‘t. He only showed up after three days, probably when he realized, that our situation wasn‘t too good: we were in CKGR, no food left and not sure we had enough disel to make it back to the gate, where we could have a phone call for support.
So he briefly came to our camp with more supplies, appologized, said from now on everything would work fine. It didn‘t. When we went over to Nxai Pans we realized: he did not pay park entrance nor accomadation for us - eventhough before hand he had repeatedly confirm that he did...
Before more people had to cash in money for something Luckey had been paid for by me in advance we headed back to Maun, two days early. Back in Maun we waited on Lucky. And he kept on with the scheme of telling that he would be there and then not showing up. He finally showed up when I set an ultimatum and threatened with the police. We then agreed on the money he had to refund me for the two days of safari that didn’t happen and I also set the condition that he would pay the guide and chef for their work in order for me to consider the thing to be ok. He than set off, saying he would go to the bank to get the money - only to hide somewhere and play on time until I had my flight back home.
Until now, he did not pay the refund to me nor did he pay the money he owns the guide and the chef for their work. And I must say both of them did a great job, doing their best for me to have at least some safari!
Given the fact that Lucky owes money to all of us, the guide went to court with the case. We are waiting.
After this I wouldn’t trust Lucky. He studied communication and he is good at telling stories. I assume he run into financial problems. This should not happen, he should not have used the money I paid to him for something else than my safari. But even if so, once it happened, he should not tell stories as he did. Very disappointing.
If you still book with Lucky, do not pay more than 1/3 of the money in advance, like this you make sure there’s money left for your trip.

Near Perfect Kilimanjaro Trek
5/5

I emailed Edward the director KWESA for Kilimanjaro climbing quotes. He responded immediately with very detailed and reasonably priced quotes. I checked the reviews and contacted several climbers getting rave recommendations for Edward and his company. I went ahead and booked Machame route where I was with 2 other solo climbers and from our experience the reviews do not do justice to his excellence. We had a near perfect trek with all aspects of our trek catered for excellently. KWESA made trekking up the imposing mountain seem easy because they were there for us all the way from start to the summit. I have great respect for the guides, porters and cook who accompanied us on this lifetime journey. I highly recommend KWESA to all that plan to do Kilimanjaro with professionals.

Tanzania Explorer is professional in a friendly way in both planning and implementation.
5/5

In january 2020 my husband and I went by car from Dar-Mikumi-Udzungwa/ Sanje waterfalls-Iringa/ Isimila Stone Age Site – Ruaha, then by plane to Zanzibar – Michamvi beach – Stonetown, and then by ferry back to Dar. When planning the trip we got good recommendations from Tanzania Explorer both by email and personal contact. The website has also a lot of relevant information. We were recommended to go by Tanzania Explorer by familymembers. The trip turned out to be composed in an exciting way, full of new experiences and nice places to stay around the next corner. From arriving at the airport till we left 17 days later we were taken very well care of by the friendly and professional staff of Tanzania Explorer. We felt really safe and relaxed, and the company has a well-developed system for reporting where we are at all times in case anything would happen.
Our purpose of visiting three national parks was that we wanted to experience the African animals in the wilderness and in their natural habitats, and we really did. We were enthusiastic by travelling with the head safariguide Sam, who all the way delivered more than expected. He is a safe driver, hard-working, professional, with exceptional eyes for spotting animals. He shared with us a lot of knowledge about the life of the animals. Sam is really good communicating with people and has a fantastic sense of humor. Travelling along the roads between the park gave us a lot of questions of how people are living in the rural areas. Sam answered patiently and we had good talks about everything from sugarplantations, bananas, social conditions, fueltransportation to lions behavior, geology and trees at the savanna. Thanks for opening our minds!
The waking safaris with fun and clever guides in Udzungwa and Roaha were very interesting. The guides had great skills in biology. Also the archeological trip in Ismila was very interesting – and looking at the Tanzanian answer to Kvitskriuprestein.
At Zanzibar Banja took care of us, and we had relaxing days at Michamvi beach before we spent the last two days in Stonetown. We went by boat to Prison Island, and walked in Stonetown where the Slavemarket really touched us. Hotel Emerson was fantastic with its roofterrace with the beautiful sunset. Zanzibar is an island with big contrasts.
The safaripart of the trip was our favorite and it’s like when you’ve been there you want to go back on safari again, because you know that there is much more to see. We would like to go by Tanzania Explorer again.

5/5

Thank you very much for the outstanding service and safari experience. A wonderful time was had and has prompted me to place another trip to Kenya and experience another Safari. The professional service which Eric provided was super. His ability to navigate the roadways and provide opportunity to see the wild animals. And with a pleasant smile on his face. A true professional and a fine man. Will be returning for another safari adventure!
