Isolated, untrammelled and seldom visited park

Katavi is a true wilderness, providing the few intrepid souls who make it there with a thrilling taste of Africa as it must have been a century ago.

Tanzania's third largest national park, it lies in the remote southwest of the country, within a truncated arm of the Rift Valley that terminates in the shallow, brooding expanse of Lake Rukwa. Katavi’s most singular wildlife spectacle is provided by its hippos. Towards the end of the dry season, up to 200 individuals might flop together in any riverine pool of sufficient depth. And as more hippos gather in one place, so does male rivalry heat up – bloody territorial fights are an everyday occurrence, with the vanquished male forced to lurk hapless on the open plains until it gathers sufficient confidence to mount another challenge.

Namibia has so much to offer - incredible vast desert landscapes, unbeatable wildlife in Etosha National Park, as well as culture with many different tribes as well as the German colonial history.

I want to give Viva Safari the thumbs up. Right from the very first email, the first phone call, Viva were friendly and helpful. My time spent at Tremisana was a very heart felt and nostalgic trip down memory lane as a returning South African on holiday. Thank you to all for making this holiday so memorable . I love South Africa

A Magical Mystery Tour Through Kenyz/Tanzania
5/5

Our safari to Kenya and Tanzania was beyond our expectations. By "magical" I mean that we often couldn't believe what we were seeing and feeling. We saw The Big Five, including a black rhino. We were 3 feet away from a cheetah, the most beautiful cat I have ever seen. The terrain, the light, the silence, the night sky, gave us an otherworldly sense.
Accommodations were perfect. The tent camps were comfortable, attractive and like something from a movie. The meals were exceptional as was the service. The Masai "guards" who escorted us through the camps were delightful. We had fine butlers, servers and guides everywhere. These people spoke (or tried to speak) English, catered to our every need, and were very knowledgeable about the area and its history. The itinerary developed by Ker & Downey was manageable and exciting. We did not feel like we missed anything. We even fed giraffes from the windows of our first-night's lodging in Nairobi. Of great importance was our feeling of safety and security. Ker & Downey and its agents made sure we got where we needed to go and took care of all the details.
Six of us shared the adventure, and all would go back again despite the long journey and malaria pills. We would also book our trip through Ker & Downey without hesitation.

Bush 2 City organized the perfect Safari!
5/5

I really enjoyed dealing with Bush 2 City. Through email they were extremely communicative and offered great suggestions to our ideas. The actual safari was organized very well. The guide was very knowledgeable about the parks and animals. The lunch was delicious. And the car was spacious and comfortable.

I would highly recommend using this company for your safari.

Amazing!!!!
5/5

From the start, back home in Holland, communication with this organisation was perfect.
All the changes we have asked for in the program were made quickly, and in the end everything was exactly what we asked for.
On arrival in Tanzania we were picked up by our guide/driver for the week.
He gave us a feeling that we were welcome, and in the end this guy made our holiday to a great success.
His driving skills and knowledge of the environment and animals was outstanding.
Furthermore, the places where we stayed were excellent.
Nice lodges, great campsites (especially the "bush shower" was a great experience), and amazing people who worked there.
Everything which was promised was there and more.
So a holiday which is impossible to forget, thanks to the organisation and especially to our driver/guide Fay.

Highly recommend David and Salomon
5/5

We went on a 5+2 day camping safari with Kilele Savanne (one night before and after the actual safari in Arusha). We had a wonderful time and it was a great experience.
We can highly recommend Kilele Savanne and especially the team we went with: Our driver and guide David and our cook Soloman. Both of them are truly experts in there field and were highly motivated to make our safari an unforgetable memory.

We were lucky enough to even spot the big five although we can say, that if your just after the big animals and just want your driver to be on the radio and then race from spot to spot, than you'd probably be better of with a different team. We truly enjoyed David's way of game driving, which is to just try to spot the animals yourself.

This does not mean that everything went perfectly smooth like a swiss clock, but compared to all the other stuff we experienced in four weeks of travelling through Tansania - the Safari was pretty good organized! We were more than happy doing that little journey with Kilele Savane.

Our trip:
Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire.

I'm shure you'll have a good time on Safari with this company!
