Great safari in Mikumi
5/5

Everything went as we expected. Our driver Roman picked us up at Dar Es Salam airport (at 4am!) and we drove to Mikumi.

Accommodation was in Mikumi cottage, directly in the park, small bungalows. Nothing luxurious but clean, staff quite welcoming. Water was not hot, but it was - you're in Africa. There was almost no variety in food, always the same sauce with either chicken or beef. This could be definitely improved.

Safari itself was superb. We had an old (600 000+ kms :) ) Toyota Land Cruiser, big and spacious with detachable roof. We saw lions, leopard, buffaloes, elephants, wild beasts, warthdogs, giraffes, hypos,... Roman was a great guide, not very talkative, but once you asked he gave you an answer. :)

At the end we arrived to port just in time to catch a ferry to Zanzibar.

Most Amazing safari trip in the Serengeti.
5/5

We spent a fantastic 13 days in Northern Tanzania , a private trip organised by Amazing Tanzania to suit our family of 4 ( 2 adults and 2 kids 9 and 10 yrs old)
We drove in our private jeep with driver/guide from Kilimanjaro airport via Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro to Ndutu lodge in the south of the Serengeti, where we spent a few fabulous days . One of the many highlights being the close following of a cheetah and her 3 clubs for more than An hour.Amazing!
From Ndutu we drove through the Serengeti to Amazing Tanzania's private tented camp at the foot of Ol Doinyo Lengai.A beautifull drive through An Amazing landscape, made close contact with 4 hyena's who had just caught An antelope.
The tented camp was the best , beautifull location, excellent accomodation , excellent service, awesome food, great guiding and social contact with the Masai guides. This was An unforgettable experience, straight from the movie "Out of Africa" . A once in a lifetime experience , far away from the beaten path.
We stayed a few days in the camp , doing a few drives in the area and did some memorable hikes with our Masai guides.
Our final drive through the beautifull Rift valley took us to Arusha from where we flew to Zanzibar to relax a few days at a great lodge On the ocean front, also arranged by Amazing Tanzania. Couldn't have chosen anything better!
Thanks Laura and Colin for this best ever trip through what we Can now describe as one of the most beautifull places in Afrika!
Thanks also to our Fantastic driver/ guide Ibbra , and our Masai guides and staff at the tented camp!

We hope to be back soon!

Great friendly service in Kenya
5/5

Petronila of Let's Go Travel in Nairobi helped us re-find El Karama Lodge in Laikipia. It was a great choice and our trip was organised to perfection. I've known Let's Go Travel for many years and would always recommend them for their personal and friendly advice!

Wonderful time in safari
5/5

I was on 7 days safari, Masai Mara, Amboseli and Lake Nakuru. Big Time safaris is a great company, they make your staying in Kenya easier, specially when your are travelling by yourself. Martha is such a kind lady, she cares about you all the time. Also John is such a funny and helpfull person. The best guide and driver is Animal, I had great time with him in Masai Mara; I don´t recommend Ben as safari guide. The relation price- service is very good, you can get into agreements with Big Time Safaris, no problem at all. Hope to be in Kenya again, asante sana!

A very good experience with Ewamanns Safari
5/5

I happened upon Ewamanns Safaris on the internet, very wary about what how people wax lyrical about safari companies (only to discover the review is being done by someone connected to the company). Having said that, I would like to state that I only knew 4 people in Kenya before I went and they were Americans ... so no connection to this company.

At no stage was I even a little worried that this was a dodgy company - communication with Erick, the guy in charge, was seamless and done by both email and whatsapp. He responded to my initial enquiry very promptly, providing me with price (very reasonable) and departure dates (which fitted perfectly for my short time in Kenya). I arrived in Nairobi the night before I left for Masai Mara - Erick and I communicated by SMS (no data on my foreign cell phone for Kenya) to finalise where and when I would meet him. At 8am the next morning, we met in the heart of town and he introduced me to the guy who was taking the safari. He made sure that I was all set (getting me 4 bottles of water to take along) before the safari left.

On arrival back in Nairobi 2 days later, Erick organised for his brother to take me out to the suburbs for the cost of a normal taxi fare to where I was staying (a good hour+ in Nairobi Friday afternoon traffic). This was very much appreciated as I did not have to find my own taxi and I felt safe.

And on top of that, the safari was excellent (heaps of animals and beautiful scenery).
Would I use this company again? Yes due to good communications leading up to (and after) the safari and because the price of the safari was very good (others paid more than I did for the same experience).

It was such a fantastic trip I'm speechless in writing this review!
5/5

I am rarely at a loss for words but we had such a great experience I'm really struggling to describe it! Brenda and her team thought of every detail, and they were friendly and organized and very experienced! The pre-trip communications were detailed and clear (you can even do a video skype in advance!), and every piece of logistics and coordination was pre-planned and went according to schedule. We knew just what to expect- but not everything! There's no way we could have imagined the incredible sights we saw! We did a day trip to Ngorongoro Crater from Arusha. The box lunches were great, and they even had hot coffee and tea made up for us after lunch, while we watched the hippos swim in a pond on one side, and lion cubs lounging around far off on the other side of the picnic area. We were a group of 3 vehicles and every driver was great, spoke excellent English, and really knew the area and the park. And from the minute we arrived, the views of the animals were nothing less than majestic. It was a memory that will last a lifetime! I cannot recommend Tanzania Choice Safaris enough!

Terribly
1/5

Cheating at every step. 1 liter of water for two persons for 4 days safari!!!! Calls Eric did not help. We had to buy in the budget camp. In the car was 9 persons instead of 6. 9 !!! The car is very very old and dirty. We did not see a leopard, the driver did not stop when we passed monkeys and other animals. view time was on his way. The food was just disgusting. Pancakes and beans. National park covered with roads, animals, even pity.
In Nakuru are pile of garbage along the lake. It's shame for the National Park.
There is no transfer back to the airport. Avoid this operator.

I had great time!
5/5

Drive was smooth as much as it can be. The guide was pretty helpful with relevant information and interesting facts while on the trip that was for three day. Guide picks you up from you place and leaves you back at your place. The personal cook was great, the camp and the tents was pretty cousy with two beds, toilet and bathroom inside. I really had great time!
