Exceptional Service - yet again!
This was my second time booking a tailor-made safari with Natasha Allan - that alone should tell you something! For the trip in August 2017, we wanted to do something special as we were both celebrating our birthdays that month. We wanted to visit three different private reserves and stay at least 4 nights in each. Natasha was able to advise us on which lodges would suit our needs best - we like unique and characterful properties - and was able to organise private transfers between each of the lodges/reserves for us. Natasha had up to date information on which lodges had better sized traverses, which type of animals we'd be likely to see in each area (we visited Klaserie, Timbavati & Sabi Sands), what inclusions each lodge had, the order we should visit them in which would be most cost effective, and she was also able to sort out flights between Kruger and Johannesburg for us. The entire trip went smoothly and without incident, nothing was a problem, and we were absolutely thrilled with the suggestions and itinerary that Natasha built for us. In the lead up to the trip, and even on our return home, Natasha was prompt and professional with responses to our emails. I would have no hesitation recommending Natasha and Sun Safaris to anyone looking to experience the best Africa has to offer. I have been to that stunning continent 5 times so far and can safely say all future trips will continue to be booked with Natasha and her team! Thank you Sun Safaris for an awesome trip, never to be forgotten!

The Crater is not to be missed
I spent a full day in Ngorongoro Crater as part of a 9-day safari in Tanzania. The wildlife was amazing. Within the first 20 minutes in the crater, we saw a lioness lying by the side of the road. We saw many more lions that day, along with Cape Buffalo, hyenas (including several feeding on a zebra kill), jackals, elephants, baboon, numerous hippos, warthogs and many Thomson's Gazelles. The birdlife was diverse and plentiful: Augur, Herons, Ibis, Ostrich, Cranes, Tawny Eagles, a Kite, Egrets, Guineafowl, Bustards, Vultures and Weavers. The scenery was spectacular, from the crater walls to the numerous dust devils. A truly amazing day.

Chobe National Park was the the quintessential Safari Park...saw all animals up close and personal!
We camped in the park for 2 nights and 3 full days....very rustic but amazing. We had elephants walk right past our tents and there was a wart hog in our camp one morning. The most amazing sight was two massive lionesses chasing down a cape buffalo and taking him down while a pride of 15 lions waited for the kill and then came in for the feast! Our guide was fabulous.

Magical experience in Kenya with African Sunset Safari
Doing a safari with a tour guide like Haron (of African Sunset Safari) was beyond our expectations. Haron was a fantastic guide who went above and beyond to give us the best Kenyan experience possible. Though mostly quiet, except when he wants to explain something about the culture or history of Kenya or the behavioral patterns of the animals in the safari, Haron seemed to have immense knowledge about the working of the country at large, and the wild. Early on in the safari, after he got a good idea of what my group of 6 were really interested in, he took immense trouble to give us the beyond our anticipations. With him, we saw the following -
Plenty of elephants, antelopes, wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, crocodiles and zebras.
Plenty of lions - individual and in prides with their cubs (even a few eating off a fresh kill)
Slightly more elusive cheetahs
Rare sighting of a rhino
The extremely reclusive leopard
But rarest of all - two cheetahs trying to hunt a wildebeest and some crocodiles fighting over a recent kill.
I cant forget how he drove us like his seat was on fire every time he was radioed in on one of the above sightings, which was exactly the spirit we wanted. :)
We highly recommend Haron and African Sunset Safari and would definitely avail of his services when we visit Kenya again.

Excellent service and trip with Safpol
My friend & I contacted Safpol in July 2017, and they were amazing in accommodating us for our 24 day tour of Southern Africa. During our trip, the people from Safpol were always in contact with us to make sure everything was okay. We had no hiccups during our trip and everything went perfectly as planned. We experienced so many wonderful things, stayed in very nice hotels and got many stamps in our passports! I highly recommend Safpol for your travel plans!

South Africa, Vic Falls, Chobe
My family has dreamed of doing an African safari forever and Compass Odyssey made sure that it was a trip of a lifetime! We started in Capetown at the Tintgel House which was beautiful and the staff so friendly, helpful, and able to recommend what to do when the weather deterred some of our plans. We had Andrew guide us around town, Table Mountain, Boulder's Beach, and Cape Point - he even ensured we got to the best photo spots. We also had some days in town by ourselves and never encountered any problems getting around. Next we went to Tydon Bush Camp at Sabi Sands. The safaris were great, the guide was so informative and knew exactly where and how to find the animals, and the food was amazing! We saw all of the Big 5 (and more!) in 3 days. Next we traveled to Zambia and Zimbabwe. There were issues with the visas being sold out, but Darrin made sure we were aware and knew exactly what to do before we even boarded our planes so we had no problems. Our guides, Mortimer and Emmanuel, helped us across the borders, at the falls, and getting needed items (when we realized we forgot a few things). They were so helpful and great! The Falls were breathtaking and we enjoyed being able to spend an extra day to take in extra walks around the area and get to see some more of the local area and not just the tourist spots. Devil's Pool was scary at first but so worth the experience! Next we drove to the Garden Lodge at Chobe River in Botswana. Our room, the staff, and the views right on the river were awesome! We had our own private guide for boat tours and into the park - John was awesome! He was able to point out so much to us - as a local he knew about the area, animals, and plants - and he kept the snacks and refreshments stocked! He even ensured that we were able to catch some wild dogs (rare to see). Overall, Compass Odyssey answered all of the questions we had before traveling, recommended some extra sites and things to do that was great, accommodated every request we had, and tailored the vacation for us. The people and places that Compass Odyssey put us with were amazing and we could not have better African experience. Definitely using again and would recommend!

Efficient and informative
Our family has been talking about visiting Hwange for a couple of years now and we finally found the perfect time to book during the school holidays. We chose Tom's Little Hide, as we were a group with small children. On arrival we were stunned by the reception we received and the amazing accommodation. The kids loved the pool and their own outside shower most of all. The other highlight was Nicholas, our guide for 5 days. So knowledgeable on all wildlife, birds and trees. Amazing memories were made on our drives or just sitting watching the animals coming to drink from our verandah. In short an epic trip made perfect by the delicious meals, brilliant staff and the full cooler box on all the game drives. We will definitely be back!!

Our best vacation yet!
The team at Mega customized our trip based on where we wanted to spend the most time, and took care of all the ancillary details to make our safari as smooth as possible. Ema, our guide was super knowledgeable and made our experience pleasant with his cheerful demeanor. We appreciated the care the team put into our trip. We highly recommend Mega Adventures for any safari trips in TZ.
