Disorganized. On the edge fincially.
The itinerary was changed from beginning to end. I had to ask what was going on. Driver didn't speak English. 2nd guide didn't inform me about the changes. At the crater gate waited for hours and Brayt blamed it on the IT guy in the office. Disorganized.

Exemplary Outfitter for an Unforgettable Safari
We chose the 4-day mid-range group safari tour to Serengeti, Terengire and Ngorongoro with Suricata, and we couldn't have been more pleased with our decision. We worked with Glory to make our reservations and it was seamless, she answered all our questions diligently and helped us arrive at a decision quickly. Daniel was there in Arusha to receive us and provide a quick briefing (detailed daily briefings were provided by the guide each day).
Our guide was Damien, his expertise and professionalism were unparalleled. He was not only knowledgeable about the local wildlife and ecosystems but also passionate about conservation. He was a great spotter and his intimate understanding of animal behaviour led to incredible sightings like a pride of 11 lions trying to hunt buffaloes or early morning playfulness of the elephants, making each game drive an exhilarating experience.
The accommodations for mid-range package were mostly tented lodges. These were meticulously maintained and offered the perfect blend of comfort and immersion in the natural surroundings. We had breakfast and dinner at the lodges. Lunches were prepared by our group's chef Musa, which we mostly had at picnic areas inside the parks.
There were last minute changes to the itinerary and accommodations in Arusha and one of the lodges. The changes to the hotel in Arusha was communicated to us on the day of arrival to Arusha. Our only feedback to Suricata was to communicate any updates to the bookings as early as possible. Daniel received the feedback positively, expressing appreciation for the insights shared and demonstrating a willingness to incorporate suggestions for further improvement.
For this reason and everything else mentioned above, I'm very impressed with Suricata. I wholeheartedly recommend them for anyone seeking an unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania!

4 Day Bush Camping Safari
For my first ever safari, I chose to go with the Sekanka team! Inspired by their lovely website, I was looking for an immersive experience and decided to try the 4 day - 3 nights midrange camping, and boy did I get more than I expected! Into the wild we went, led by our guide, Salani, who's more than 20 years of experience as a tour guide in Botswana came in handy. Driving from Maun, through the Mababe Depression it was elephants galore! The tour guide was gracious to make a few stops along the way, with enough time for pictures but still watching the clock. A lunch stop was included.
Day 1 at the private camp started with an evening drive, a perfect time to spot beautiful wildlife including hippos and zebra. The evening ended with watching a mother hyena feeding her cubs by their den at sunset. Day 2 kickstarted with an early breakfast and game drive, while the animals started their day as well, and already that morning we tracked some naughty lions that had stolen a leopard's meal! That evening we ventured into the waters of the Khwai river on a mokoro, late evening drive including a python sighting too.
The night turned quite bizarre as, around 3am we were awoken by all kinds of roars, howls and hyena laughter - just across our camp was a dead buffalo and the carnivores were feasting! This made for a great morning of Day 3 since we had some visitors who were led by the scent of fresh meat - 3 male lions crossing the river at our campsite! Ofcourse, I didn't expect there to be a live fight for the territory but it is exactly what I got as we witnessed 1 male lion defending himself against 3!! That afternoon, following a day of munching, and sleeping in the hot savanna, we found them still at war not too far from our campsite. Hats off to Salani, our guide who seems to have a sixth sense (and great tracking) for when and where to catch these ferocious cats, and for providing context as to why one of the 3 was heavily scarred and limping. We managed to sleep more somberely that night, as vultures jackals and hyenas had probably done a good job of clearing the left overs.
On our final day we managed to track the 4 lions, who it seems had now made peace and joined forces, on a hunt in the greenery! I was sad to leave but will cherish the excellent experience and incredible memories that Botswana gave me. I got to see 4 of the Big 5 very up close, in their natural habitat! Thanks to Anna and her team for providing a splendid time in the jungle and giving me a new found appreciation for mother nature and the jewel of Africa, Botswana!!

Perfect safari and trek
Our trip with Prime Safari’s was perfect! Godfrey was our private guide for four days and he was very knowledgable and very easy to get along with. We spent a lot of time with him over the four days and we hated to say goodbye at the end. The accommodations that were arranged for us were very clean and comfortable but still very “Africa”. We loved it. The price was very good for what we got and I would say it was an excellent value. We would recommend Prime Safari’s to any of our friends interested in seeing Uganda.

Great experience
I had 4 nights, 5 days in Sabi Sands and Kruger National Park. I was very pleased with everything from accommodation, safari and food. I find them company reliable and helpful. Quick response to my questions on mail on beforehand. The guides were excellent. I only saw the big four, not leopards. But this is nature, so I’m still satisfied. I recommend and will use Safarilink next time.

Good value
I chose the 7 day safari, Maasai Mara lake Nakuru lake Naivasha and Amboseli. The accommodation was basic but clean and the beds were comfortable, the food was good and all the staff were polite and friendly. Our driver and guide Simon worked really hard. His driving inspired confidence in him and his knowledge of the animals and how to find them was excellent. At the end of the day if you’ve spent hundreds or thousands of pounds to be on safari the animals don’t care as they’rejust living their lives. I spent hundreds and not thousands and in my opinion it was good value.

An unforgettable experience and encounter
A great trip to a magnificent and friendly country, organized by a caring agency. Everything lived up to our expectations for a group of 11 people with children: the choice of accommodation, the food, the safari, very attentive staff as well as the rugby experience. We recommend without hesitation. Kind regards

We can do nothing but highly recommend Susan from Discover Africa. What an amazing trip!? Thank you!
We have always wanted to visit South Africa after numerous friends recommended various parts and experiences. On first looking, we were clueless about where to start and what to include in our time frame of 10 days. Discover Africa came to the rescue when I came across their website and various suggested itineraries, so I made contact and Susan got back to me promptly. Within a few emails and video calls, our entire trip, transfers, tours and hotel stays were booked and planned for us. What a trip this was!!
We started in Cape Town, staying at a gorgeous hotel at the V&A waterfront, The Queen Victoria. This boutique, stylish hotel with pool and spa, stands on a small hill overlooking the main hub of shops, bars and restaurants. By no means was it noisy but a safe distance from which we could walk down to the area when needed. Our time at the hotel was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and attentive; we highly recommend breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Time Out market and Table Mountain. Whilst here we had several private booked tours of the Cape (with the amazing Reginald from African Eagle tours) and a half day tour of Cape Town itself. The latter included Table Mountain cable car tickets - albeit a misty day, our schedule was tight to come back, so we went through with it. The views below the clouds that day were breathtaking.
We moved onto the Franschhoek Country House & Villas, after a 50 minute private transfer from Cape Town. WOW! What a picturesque setting with a fantastic team running this gorgeous hotel. We enjoyed local wine and bubbles around the pool with lunch, then I had a great massage at the spa. The town itself is close by, we walked on one morning but most of the time availed of the hotels shuttle which runs on demand whenever needed. Such beautiful architecture and lots of options for food, drinks and coffee. We dined in town one night then at the hotels restaurant on another. Both lovely meals, with friendly staff. We have nothing negative to say! The wine tram was a great way to visit local vineyards for tasting. We visited 3 and had such a great time learning and sampling the local produce. We need to now order some to have it shipped home!!! You must visit the wine district on any trip to South Africa.
We took a 2 hour internal flight up to Kruger for a 3 day safari. Susan arranged for us to stay in the presidential suite at the Karongwe River Lodge on the Karongwe Private Reserve. We hadn't a clue what to expect on safari, but the team made us feel so welcome, took every care to meet any request and their attention to detail was second to none. From them collecting us from the airport, right through to daily breakfast, changing the location and set up for dinner around the hotel each night, to the twice daily 3 hour game drives - we were blown away. Our room was palatial, with our own pool and terrace overlooking a watering hole next door. We observed frequent animals visiting during our mid afternoon naps before the evening safari drive. Our safaris were unreal. The guide Jack and tracker Raimundo were professional, knowledgeable and comical. We had one of the best experiences on safari than we have ever had on any holiday. We were genuinely sad to leave.
After a short flight to Johannesburg to stay overnight before our flight back to the UK, Susan arranged transfers and a stay at the stylish Da Vinci Hotel in Sandton. We had a massive corner suite, and an amazing breakfast. The hotel is adjacent to the mall leading to Nelson Mandela Square. It was safe to walk around and there were plentiful options for dinner.
All in all our trip was fabulous. I could not fault it and cannot thank Susan and Discover Africa enough. I highly recommend you book with them for a well organised, personalised and once-in-a-lifetime experience for your trip. We cannot wait to tell our friends and family all about it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
