Amazing adventure!
This was my second visit to the Masai Mara and this safari well exceeded my expectations. Our guides met with us beforehand and knew what we wanted. They definitely delivered! We saw lions, cheetahs, and leopards up close, walked with a knowledgeable park guide along the hippo pool, stopped for photos of elephants, giraffes, cape buffalo, wildebeest and more as requested. I would go again with this tour in a heartbeat!

Deliverd a well organized travel programme (with continious back up) for three groups of four.
Service and comminucation were immaculous. The 11 days road safari in three 4 by 4 landcruisers met the full expectations. This is a very reliable company that you can trust and which is very knowledgable about the Namibian scene.

A Simply Stunning Experience
My wife and I just completed the 15 day tour of South Africa, Swaziland, and Lesotho. We started the tour in Cape Town with Craig, who happily honored our request to reverse the normal order of the tour. We asked for some other modifications of the tour while booking, and again Craig bent over backwards to make us happy. He is a wonderful guide, providing insight into the features and history of his beautiful country. At the end of our time in Cape Town, Craig came down with a case of the stomach flu, and was unable to continue. This had the potential to be a disaster, but Craig simply would not let that happen. He arranged for another expert guide, Louis, to take over and the adventure continued without missing a beat. We saw the big 5 in Kruger, and spent an exciting day in the Hluhluwe reserve as well. Swaziland and Lesotho were both well worth the visit. This tour far exceeded our expectations. We have traveled a fair amount, but this experience is at the top.

3-day safari Serengeti /Ngorogoro
We really enjoyed the safari with this company. The staff of the company is really good.
Jeremias is a very profesional and experienced guide who made us feel safe during the whole safari. He is a very hard working person full of simpathy, he always answered all our questions and explained a lot of different things, not only about animals but also about African people and their traditions.
Also, Dioniz takes his job seriously: the meals were tasty and amazing. His aparience is always clean and smart.
Both were really puntual and, for that reason, we could enjoy all things we wanted to observe without people around.
Justin is a very patient person, who helped us a lot.
We would like to gratify the adaptation to our temporal and economical petitions.

Amazing & well-organised adventure in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro
Last month we experienced incredible adventure on Safari. It was a joined trip operated by Sandland Tours and Safaris organized by Shabani from African Travel Tour (they are sister companies as far as I'm concerned).
We spent 5 days and 4 nights on the Safari itself. Shabani was very responsive and helpful prior to the trip, he checked the bus from Nairobi for us and picked us up from the bus stop. Outstanding service. Our two nights before and after the Safari were included in the total price. We had to pay $20 for the Arusha airport transfer what was extremely expensive for that distance but that probably compensated for something else.
Safari was amazing, we had the best driver/guide (Eric) and cook (Mr Bean) you could imagine. Thanks to Eric we were always in the best spot to see the animals, even if there were 20 cars at the same time. He just knew where he was going - I talked to many people at the picnic areas and looked like we were the only ones to see some of the rare animals. In addition, he was talkative and had a great sense of humour so it was a real pleasure to spend time with him. Mr Bean cooked the best food ever and I really mean it because my husband who never eats fish was getting 3 helpings of delicious tilapia stew. The soup was so good that all of us were having a refill everyday. I was even asking for the recipe!
The trip was well-organised, I felt like we got the most of it. We were leaving early for the sunrise game drives and coming back as late as possible. We booked budget safari but our first 2 nights were upgraded to tented lodges with private bathrooms. That really exceeded our expectations and was a very nice surprise. We spent the other 2 nights in public campsites but the tents were very good quality, the mattresses and sleeping bags were also provided. The only inconvenience was that our backpack got dirty in the car. It was covered in oil and diesel and some of our clothes were in stains. We were really disappointed but the trip overall was so good that it compensated this mess :-) It was really hard to say goodbye in the end of the trip.
Adventure in Namibia on a Self Drive Tour
Date of trip: 2 June-14 June 2016
Location: Southern Namibia (Windhoek, Fish River Canyon, Ai Ais, Luderitz, Sossusvlei, Swakopmund, Windhoek)
Type: Self Drive
Overall Rating: Very Good
In general, Impala Tours did a very good job. We were met at the airport and transported to our hotel. There was a briefing, with wine, where we went over the route maps and were introduced to the vehicle - a 4-wheel drive Toyota Hilux with a canopy. The vehicle was in good condition and got us where we needed to go. The electric refrigerator and table included with the vehicle were nice additions. The driving route involved tar and well maintained gravel roads.
Overall the accommodations and food were excellent. If you enjoy meat, the game - kudu, impala, sprinkbok - were plentiful and a real treat.
Helpful tips:
1. If you are not a seasoned road-warrior (we're not), travel with a GPS or Google the directions. This would provide detailed directions in town (mostly) and accurate mileages on the road that were not always evident from the maps/instructions we were given.
2. For accommodations in coastal towns, request a hotel with a sea view.
3. For optional tours book early. The Bogenfels tour required at least 10 days pre-booking.

Another Amazing Safari
We had travelled with Odyssey before, so when I went to book our Great Migration safari, I knew what I wanted - tweaking their base safari to cover a few things I had noticed and wanted time for. They were very agreeable, and arranged everything, even coordinating between ourselves and the 2 friends we were travelling with. One of our friends added an extra stay to the end of the itinerary and that was booked with ease. They even arranged a pleasant surprise for us in the form of very upgraded accommodations for two nights. Our driver/guide was terrific, and knowledgeable. 5/5 stars, would travel again.
