Once in a Lifetime
5/5

We had a fabulous, once in a lifetime experience with Sunny Safaris.

Firstly, I found this company by doing extensive research on a few websites, including the Tripadvisor forum, and saw that it came highly recommended. I then emailed them, and Jessica, who I was in contact with throughout the process, was very prompt and helpful with her email replies.

We went for a 5 night/6 day budget safari. This was $1205 per person (pretty standard for a budget Tanzania safari), and this included camping and pretty much everything else (although only 1 litre of water each per day, so worth taking your own). We half paid via credit card as a deposit and the rest in the office before we set off. This was quick and easy, and it was nice to meet Jessica in person.

We were picked up from our hotel in Arusha by our driver (Peter) and our chef (Damien). I cannot express how excellent both Peter and Damien were in making our safari so memorable.

Peter and Damien made what was already a fantastic trip an amazing and incredible experience. We will not only remember the great things we saw on safari, but also have great memories of Peter and Damien. We could not have had two better people with us!

Peter's knowledge of the national parks (Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara), animals, as well as his ability to spot the animals, was brilliant, and if it wasn't for him we would have missed out on so much. Alongside this, he is one of the kindest, friendliest and most good humoured people we have ever met.

Damien's food was brilliant. We do not know how he managed to cook such tasty and varied food at the camp sites! He was also so very friendly and always there to help if we needed anything.

So, like I said before, both Peter and Damien made our safari even better and Sunny Safaris are lucky to have such wonderful people working for them.

So overall, I would not hesitate to use Sunny Safaris again and would recommend them to anyone.

Out of this world experience
5/5

Huge thanks to Patrick and Mmilo tours for a great three day experience on South Africa. As well as a tour of Pretoria including a unique visit to the holding cells below the palace of justice and a half day trip to the Ann van dyk cheetah centre, Patrick took me all the way to Mafikeng. A journey of around 3.5 hours each way. We searched for and found the siege graveyard, and Patrick was most patient as we walked around this site. A!tus picked me up on a public holiday ready for the next day trips. The pre trip organisation and communication were great and Patrick dropped me off at the airport for the flight back home. Full marks to this team an definitely now on my redial button when I next visit South Africa.

Great Safari. Saw the Big 5

We had an overall wonderful experience. The guide was active and spotted well. The camp is basic but good for a short stay. They can work a little on service quality. The whole package is very good value for money.

Unforgettable experience
5/5

We made 8 days 7 nights safari. The organization was very flexible in terms of dates and cost: Savannah Explorers satisfied all our requests/needs. Even if all the communication was via e-mail, it was clear and effective. The tour was really well organized, we had a pleasent stay in all lodges and tented camps. Savannah took care of everything, ...so relaxing for us.
Our driver and guide, Anwari, was friendly, professional and spoke a very good italian! Last but not least he was a very good driver - which is not commonplace.
I strongly recommend Savannah Explorers for your Safari in Tanzania.

Arousha Day Tour
5/5

My friend and I had an amazing day in Arusha with Kevin and Allen. We drove from Kilimanjaro, the journey was smooth and the drive was made better with the views of the mountains along the way. Our first sight was a local market, Tengeru Market, only available on Wednesday and Saturday so we got lucky! We really enjoyed our second stop, Lake Duluti, it was absolutely stunning! There is also an option to go canoeing for only 10k per boat! Unfortunately we did not have the time as we were hungry and wanted to watch a movie. We had lunch at a beautiful and cosy restaurant in the centre of Arusha, called Meru House Inn Restaurant. The food was lovely, who knew cashew nuts and chicken go amazingly well together?! The Cinema Complex was also great and it was good to watch a movie in a cinema again as we have been in Tanzania for just over 5 weeks and missed watching movies!
Kevin and Allen were very attentive, taught us some facts whilst we were there, I.e. the clock tower in the centre is known as the heart of Africa as it's directly in between Cape Town and Cairo. We had a great time with them, thank you Zuri Tours and Safaris :)

An experience worth lifetime !
5/5

Our Kenya tour experience was truly amazing with Ancient wild safari. Mr. Michael is very professional and is prompt in replying to any query put forth. It was a seven day trip which includes masai mara, Lake nakuru, Naivasha and Amboseli. Our driver Mr. Paul, who picked and dropped us from the airport was very friendly. Our guides Mr. Wanjao and Mr.Joseph had amazing knowledge about the parks and animals, and made our experience really great! We learned a lot about Kenya and its people as well. We were on a budget safari. The accommodation in every place we stayed was really nice. We had our own private bathroom with a shower in our room, mosquito nets, power outlets to charge electronics, and we received three hot meals a day. When we were on game drives, we had packed lunch. We are pure vegetarians. Our guides made sure that we received only veg food at all times. Thanks for this. At the end of each day, our guides would brief us about the following day’s plan and let us know what time we need to be ready for the next day.

Thank you Mr. Michael and your team for making this trip truly memorable.
I would also like to thank the website safari bookings.com which helped me find Ancient Wild Safaris.
In our opinion, Ancient Wild Safaris is a reliable company and we highly recommend it.

Amazing Experience

The safari was well planned. We confirmed the safari just a day before our travel date and still they considered our booking. All arrangements were great. Enjoyed a lot.

Northern Tanzania Safari

From the start Elias from World Air Travel & Tours was very helpful in helping us to select our itinerary for the safari. When we arrived Paul was our guide and was amazing throughout the whole trip, we really felt like he went out of his way to ensure that we got the best experience we possibly could have. The accommodations selected was fantastic and the food was great. I would thoroughly recommend World Air Travel & Tours as a tour operator and would definitely use them again in the future.

It was a great reward!

Everything was perfect! African Welcome Safari organised for us a marvelous 10-day safari which allowed us to discover Victoria Falls and the stark, otherworldy beauty of Botswana. It was really one of the best and most luxurious ways to experience the highlights of Botswana and its world-class game viewing!

Absolutely seamless safari experience!
5/5

My girlfriend and I booked a 6-day safari with Wild Root Safaris. We had an absolutely fantastic time and we 100% recommend them. I can easily say that of the 5 times I have been on safari, this was by far my best experience. The person in charge, Mathew, used to be a guide on Kilimanjaro before co-founding the company with a Canadian around 10 years ago.

In November of 2015, I found Wild Root along with a few other operators on SafariBookings.com. I emailed to see the prices and itineraries they offered and most of them got back to me. Of the replies, Wild Root was the fastest and most personable, addressing all our questions and giving us several options. As we are students, price was a concern and we wanted to make sure all costs were accounted for. Mathew did an excellent job of this and was extremely helpful regarding suggestions for accommodations and places to go, things to do, etc. Even though park fees went up significantly from the time of reservation to the time of travel, Mathew honoured the booking price, something a luxury tour operator didn’t do for a family we met on Kili.

We then sent our deposit through to Wild Root so that the bookings could get underway. Sending a large amount of money to someone you have only spoken to via email is nerve-racking, but everything worked out absolutely perfectly. As our safari was in July 2016 (8 months after reserving), we touched base every few months with Mathew to make sure everything was booked as planned. We tried calling the hotels and lodges, but their communication was sub-par to say the least. Mathew assured us that everything was set up and that we would have a great time – how right he was!

We planned to meet with our guide in Arusha at our hotel after climbing Kilimanjaro. After some time at the hotel, the hotel staff told us Mathew and our guide, Issa, had arrived. They showed us the vehicle – an absolutely gorgeous, brand new Toyota Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof. Mathew and Issa went over the safari with us and addressed any questions we had, something we were extremely impressed with.

The next 6 days on safari were spectacular. We went to Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and then the Ngorongoro Crater. The wildlife we saw was phenomenal. Issa was incredibly punctual, knowledgeable, caring and wonderfully personable. My girlfriend, having never been on safari, was very keen to see the ‘Big 5’. Issa made sure of this, the highlight of which was watching a lion stalk a Thomson’s gazelle for 45 minutes and just miss its prey. All of the lodges we stayed at along the way were superbly comfortable and the food was delicious.

Aside from the safari, Issa took us to several markets and suggested prices for items, what to look out for, how to bargain for the best deal, etc. He was always watching out for our safety: once when we were in a market stall for a long period of time and out of his view, he came looking for us to make sure we were okay. We ended up getting some fantastic bargains because of his advice and have some fantastic souvenirs.

At the end of the safari when we were back at the hotel, Mathew met with us to discuss our trip and make sure everything went well. We let him know just how impressed we were and how much we loved our experience. Wild Root certainly exceeded our expectations! We definitely recommend them as well as our guide, Issa. Knowing how great our safari was, I wish I booked our Kili trek with Wild Root as well. Thank you to Wild Root for making memories to last a lifetime!
