The Safari tour with Bernhard was an out of the world experience. If I go back to South Africa it would be because of the people like Bernhard from this tour group and his associates.

I was there with my wife and 2 sons they had only positive comments for Private Kruger Safaris

One word Outstanding.

Unforgetable experience with the best guide!!
5/5

We were a group of students travelling to east africa. We didn't know much about the possibilities of the different countries and Isaac built for us several detailed packages in uganda, kenya and tanzania for us to choose. We discussed with him about budget and wild life and we finally decided to travel to serengheti and south kenya. It was an amazing experience, we had the chance to discuss about wild life conservation, politics, animal behaviour... Apart of being a great guide and a very nice person, he is also a fantastic story teller. While doing some camping he delated us with some traditional african stories learned by his grandmother. It was a magical experience! And we are very thankful for his services and commitment to wild life conservation. More guides or tour operators should have the approach that ecobushman has!

Great safari company with local roots
5/5

We booked a 6 day lodge safari with Ecological Wilderness Adventures in June.
Brian was very quick to react to all our questions and requests. He is a man with great knowledge about the country, the national parks and the Tanzanian wildlife.
The safari was perfectly planned and we practically didn't need any adaptions. All accommodations had a very high standard. Especially Serengeti Savannah Camp, which is also operated by Brian was a real treat. A camp in the middle of nowhere that made you feel very close to nature, yet offering all the comforts a european traveller can hope for.
Kappia our very knowledgable and friendly safari guide is a great guy. He gave us lots of explanations about wildlife and birds and was also a perfect ambassador for his country. After the 6 days we felt like we had learned a lot about Tanzanian culture, politics and various questions that he never got tired to answer. He also showed us interesting places in Arusha and helped us rearranging the trip spontaneously when I got sick for one day.
With Ecological Wilderness we felt in very good hands and at the same time had the feeling to support a company with local roots, rather than an international corporation.
Thanks again for this wonderful experience!

Well, holidays in South Africa, what are you writing, what are you thinking about? Of course, you write about what you already knew in advance and about what you see in real life afterwards. The wilderness, animals, beautiful landscapes, the tension when an elephant walks right next to your tent during the night. A perfect country if you love photography. We have seen the beautiful Milky Way for the first time. And all of this in South Africa? No, we have only been in the region KwaZulu Natal.

That was it? No, not at all. Most people we met, have impressed us. Casual encounters with great people. As Steve, B & B manager, he insisted that we didn’t go to bed without supper, drove us to a takeaway, drank a beer with us, exchanged information, thoughts and expectations. He gave us a glimpse into his life and his country. A very warm, cheerful, positive man. Or like a moment in the early morning in a nature reserve, we made coffee for 3 cleaning ladies spontaneously. They were very surprised that we served them coffee instead of the opposite. A dinner with a South African man and with a couple from Ireland. He was as a 5-year-old boy emigrated from the north of Holland and he was excited to talk Dutch with us. And we South-African with him. We talked about past and present, in the Netherlands and in South Africa. The couple had worked in Ireland, in a hospital, for years. They were back in South-Africa to enjoy the country where they have worked and lived for so many years. Don’t forget Theo, entrepreneur par excellence and a good man. What a invention to get people acquainted with your village, the people in your village acquainted with people from far away. He received us in his house. He helps the village to getting a better life environment, especially the vulnerable, young people. How little children in a nursery with so little, have fun and radiate energy. The 17 -, 18, 19-year-old students at a high school willing to participate in a game from the Netherlands and treat you with a swinging concert.

We’ve got so much energy from these people, sunshine can’t equalise this. Be there for others, listen and show understanding. And amaze, learn and appreciate how special the world is. Surprised by the openness and friendliness, we have enclosed Kwazulu-Natal and its people in our hearts. Engaged, engraved in our memories. Thank you for making this possible, Geert and Freya.
During our short stay, we’ve got to know South Africa as a country which is developing. Of course, with all the problems and contradictions. But who are we to judge. The Netherlands have had 200 years to become the democracy as we are nowadays. South Africa is just a democracy since 20 years. And in a huge country with so much diversity. A multicultural society. An example for The Netherlands.

Chapeau for Nelson Mandela

one of our best ever holidays
5/5

We went on a 7 day safari with our daughter and had one of our best holidays ever. Obviously nervous at first, as we didn't book via a tour operator, but Big Time Safaris met us at the airport as arranged, and everything went very smoothly. We have reviewed the holiday on Trip Adviser, if you want more details. Big Time Safaris are a ligit company and do all that they say they will. The best recommendation we can give is that we are booking to go with them again next year.

Madagascar Trek 2014
5/5

This was our fourth tour with Masihambe Afrika and as usual lived up to our expectations of going on an exciting, adventurous and well organised tour. Nothing was too much trouble for our guide who was always available and with out hesitation would go that extra mile for all on our tour. Our guide knew Madagascar like the back of his hand and was a walking encyclopaedia of any animal species encountered.

Masihambe Afrika Tours left nothing unturned to ensure that our three week Trek included all the experiences that this country full of delightful people, fascinating animals and beautiful scenery has to offer. Well worth a visit.

I would thoroughly recommend Masihambe Afrika for anyone who wishes to have a well run, well balanced holiday that makes the most out of what is available without making you feel like a tourist.

Great experience
5/5

I did the first safari in Kenya with Ecobushman in August 2008. It was a great experience that I won't forget. The knowledge of the wild life and spirit of conservation of the guides really made a difference for us. We had the chance not only seeing the best of the wild life but also to understand the challenges of that spectacular ecosystem. I enjoyed the trip so much that I repeated the experience with this same tour operator in December 2010 in Tanzania with my family. We had the chance to be surprised by a great tour where we did walking, drive horse and boat safari. All that with great respect with nature and with a very nice relationship with the guide and cook. I would definitely recommend this tour operator and actually thinking on going back and visiting Uganda with them!! Hope I can go back soon!!

Makasa Tanzanian Safaris exceeded my expectations in every way
5/5

I was somewhat concerned as we only communicated via email, but Selma created an itinerary for us, listened to what we wanted to see and do (eg I wanted to do a walking safari and visit a Maasai village so we were booked at the Ndarakwai Ranch where we were able to do both safely). We were also interested in staying in tented as well as lodge accomodations and Selma's itinerary included both.
Another concern we had was the small size of the company, however, Makasa and our excellent guide David made this a trip of a lifetime. David is extremely knowledgable about his country, animals, birds, reptiles, trees and plants. He organized our daily games drives so we saw amazing sights everyday. David did not rush us along when we wanted to watch elephants or lions or leopards (sometimes for as much as an hour at a time). He speaks very good english and has a wonderful sense of humor.
We spent 15 days on safari in Tanzania from West Kilimanjaro area, Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara, Rhotia Valley, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater. We ended our trip by staying 4 days in Zanzibar.
Makasa exceeded our expextations with the arrangements, itinerary, communications, and with David as our safari guide and driver. I cannot recommend them enough for anyone who wants a personalized tour of Tanzania.

Wonderful days in Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro
5/5

The company is trustworthy. Joseph - the driver/ guide also the owner of the company was very well informed about animals, nature and he was very helpful, honest and competent guy and the most important very caring and friendly person. Thanks to him I discovered the beauty of Serengeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater. He was so patient and always stoped when I wanted to take pictures. He offered binoculars when animals where far and if I didn't know some animals he always described it with details and showed informations in his books. Thanks a lot Jo for wonderful safari time!
