Great safari experience in kenya
5/5

As a family we are hooked on safaris. To us the issue is to have with the best wild life wild place experience coupled with low tourist density, flexibility in what we want to do and also to know that we are supporting real sustainable eco tourism.
We found this blend at Tanzania Bush camps, booked through Africa Remote Safaris. The experience was special for a number of reasons. The first is the great wildlife
1) No set times to return to your camp
2) there is real engagement with the local community who share in the benefits of the conservancy.
Our friends and us have also used Africa Remote Safaris to book other places as they know what is good and can usually get better prices than going direct. We didn't see a Rhino but I think we saw everything else. Great guides. They knew their birds which was a bonus. Every one was so nice and accommodating, friendly and fun. We were very pampered
A 5 star, memorable trip

Our experience was amazing no words to describe it.
4/5

First a massive thank you to Paul the owner and Peter our driver , My son still call your name (Peter) .
At first we didn't know what to expect considering we were on budget Safari but Paul did an amazing job booking our trip.the camp was not appealing to the eyes when we got there but it turned out to be the best budget camp ever with amazing and caring staff ready to assist .We were lucky to see all the big Five at Maasai mara national park .
My husband loved sitting outside Lenchada camp with Maasai and just watch the star .
We will come back again.

Excellent Staff, Good Company
4/5

We went on a 6 day safari with Ilmaasai. Our driver Bryson and cook Osman were most accommodating and did everything they could to make our trip great. We saw plenty of animals and were happy with this company. It is locally owned as well, we were happy that our money went to support the local people and not a foreign company.

2 days, 1 night thrill in Mara
5/5

The crew at ACZ was very professional and kind, they met my friends and I bright and early at the hotel and took us to the meeting place where we met others who came along with us. The van was very clean and had outlets to charge phones (I used my cell phone to take pictures, the outlet was useful). This was my first time on a safari and I must say it was very exciting. My driver was Martin and he was awesome, he was very kind, and interactive which made the game drive thrilling. Martin was able to spot out many animals and give detailed descriptions of the types of animals we came across. If you are into camping and plan on staying overnight I am sure you will like the camp, it was very clean and had running hot water and toilets that flushed. I, myself, am not into camping so in the future if I do go on a safari I will pay a little more to lodge at "fancy" place. I am sure John can work out lodging for you if you tell him exactly what you are looking for. John is very good at responding to emails, answering questions, and keeping in contact with you throughout your entire experience and will do anything possible to ensure you are very comfortable. I would definitely recommend ACZ for your safari experience, and Martin as your driver, I mean Martin put the thrill in gaming and trust me your driver makes a big difference, because I got the opportunity to experience a game drive with another driver and without the thrill gaming is boring. After a while watching a lion sleep isn't much fun. After our safari we were dropped off at our destination, as stated. Thank you John and Martin for the experience :-)

As a long time traveler, I was concerned that my trip to the Okavango Delta would be marred by excessive tourism or local ennui with visitors. I experienced neither! From seeing predators in action to almost co-habiting with wildlife, there were wonders to enjoy every day. I probably took over 5000 photos -- of rare and common birds, of extraordinary bugs, and predator/prey behaviors, there was never a time when I was not mesmerized. I stayed in AndBeyond Sandibe Okavango Lodge (probably the most elegant of all I have stayed in) where customer service is phenomenal, and, most importantly the guides and trackers were amazing. Also stayed at Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp where the guides tailor made the safaris to our liking. Time on the water was magical. Locals are delightful. If I could, I would go back to Botswana every single year, as there is still so much more to see. AndBeyond, while not cheap, was worth every single dollar spent.

The colors, the sounds, the wildness, the smells, the intense intellectual challenge of learning as much as possible about all that was around me. It was a world apart from everyday life, and thus, a perfect place for an adventure.

Best Trip Ever
5/5

Michael and his crew are by far the most kind and welcoming operators you can find. From the very beginning when we started planning our vacation they were on top of every detail, send us info, making opportune reservations in the best places and planning our overall experience. Since the planning was done so well, our trip can easily be described as a one lifetime experience. Every detail in the trip was taken care of, every day itinerary was carefully plan to maximize our chance of experiencing great games. As a guide Michael is exceptional, he knows African wildlife profoundly and that makes the trip even richer, as you go on learning about your surroundings constantly.
I would recommend Cape Dog Safaris anytime.

Terrible organisation, many animals.
1/5

The good:
We have seen a lot of animals.
Chief has perfect cooking skills. All food were delicious. But not a lunch boxes. They need to do something with lunch boxes.
Parks are amazing.
No matter what you will see bellow, that was a great experience and we are happy.

The Bad:
To be honest, we confirmed our booking a day before safari had to start. And it could cause some issues along the way...
1. We spent half a day in the hotel because guys, as they said, had to go to bank and put money into account. So we lost half the first day. But ok, I understand if so. That is our bad. Also they changed plan without notice. Instead of Tarangire we drove to Lake Manyara.
2. When we came to lake ticketing, I had to pay with my card cuz as it appeared guys didn't put any money into account, so who knows where did they spend half a day. And I had to pay from my card all other park fees also. We tried to solve this small issue with the manager, but they refused to participate.
3. On the line to Ngorongoro entrance we spend 2 and a half hours, while all other drivers did it much faster. Even those who arrived after us. Not sure, driver may had some issues with ticketing. Not a big deal!
4. On the camping side. Tents were very old, no other camping equipment were provided. By saying no I mean we had only tent and dirty-old mattress to sleep on. No slipping bags, covers or anything that could worm us up in the nigh. While all other tents were fully equipped. For info I'm hiking like 15 years, and never ever had such a bad experience. The very next morning I got sick. Likely girls were fine.
5. Because we didn't have camping equipment we had to change our plan and spent less time in Serengeti and Ngorongoro. And get back to our first camping place near lake which were quite nice.
6. On the last day driver said that he doesn't have fuel and no money for park fees, refused to go anywhere no matter that we had paid for day #4. So I had to come up with idea what to do in the last day. I bought gas, paid for park fee in Tarangire for me, friends and driver with chief.
7. Some issues from the list above I have tried to discuss with manager of Tembia Safaris to find solution. No results, after I have been asked to stop complaining I gave up trying repeating my attempts and we did what we could.

After all that is amazing experience. But maybe with another company.
Yeah, that was sort of complicated 4 days :)

Great value & experience
5/5

Daigle helped me determine which itinerary would fit best in my schedule when I was clueless, and I felt it was well worth what we paid, especially compared to some of the other quotes we got. Everything was taken care of for us - transportation, meals, lodging, game park fees, etc. Our driver was fantastic, knowledgeable and a pleasure to ride around with. We loved the game drives, but also the commutes to other parks and areas where we got to see many villages and a lot of countryside. Great experience!
