Kruger National Park never disappoints
The Kruger National Park remains my favorite destination for a self drive african safari. Wildlife vis abundant, ample bird species, plentiful rest camps to take a break and spectacular scenery.
The highlight of our trip was a leopard kill in the lower Sabie area. We passed a fresh kill that was anchored between two branches in a tree. It was obvious that the leopard was regaining strength as it was nowhere to be seen. We decided to leave the sight and took a coffee break at Lower Sabie Rest camp about 20 min drive north. We were delighted by the leopard feasting on the kill when we returned a hour later.

Once in a lifetime
So there you are, one day watching David Attenborough on your TV, the other day getting into the wild yourself, and what an experience it is. I traveled with my girlfriend around Namibia with the help of an accommodated tour, and of course that the main stop would be Etosha. I think winter is the high season, but we did not feel the crowd, the over touristic scene, everything was just good scenery, good weather and a good time. In two days of safari we easily spotted all the must see animals, expect the illusive leopard. Our guide just had an eye for it, he actually told us that when he was young he would hunt with his family riding the pick up in the dark, so pretty much nothing would escape his boosted eyesight, he would always be the first to spot everything! We didn't opt for the camping, instead we stayed in lodges, both would be a great option I think. Facilities often had swimming pools, great food, everything. I can only recommend Namibia as a country to visit. Although I've never done any other safari, I got the impression by researching and discussing with friends that this is the place to go nowadays, every condition for your wild trip with one of the best prices, in one of the safest places on Africa.

Savana, wildlife, desert, red dunes, everything on the same trip. Safe country, even though someone tried to "help" me at an ATM in the capital, you'll be just fine if you follow the basic rules. On a second visit I'd have no problem on self-driving around either. Competitive prices comparing to other African destinations.
A wonderful honeymoon
We had a wonderful honeymoon - Tanzania provided the perfect destination and we were very happy with our itinerary, which was a perfect mix of safari and beach.

2-Week Safari - Beyond all High Expectations
Our family of 4 - 2 parents and two kids in their twenties - just spent 2 weeks in Tanzania with Ecological Wilderness Adventures, on safari. It was an amazing experience in every way. The owner, Brian, and my husband had multiple exchanges over email prior to our trip to plan the safari to our satisfaction.
We were met at the airport by Brian and our guide for the two weeks, Amir. Amir, was incredibly knowledgeable, had an amazing eye for spotting animals, was a fabulous driver on incredibly difficult roads, and had a great sense of humor. We feel ever so lucky to have had him as our leader for the trip. He knew where to be when, when to wait longer to see something spectacular, when to suggest changes to our itinerary, etc. We couldn't have been happier with him. We saw all of the animals we expected to see and many, many more. The animals were simply amazing. Seeing them in their own world was such a treat.
Our accommodations were all great. We stayed in a mix of lodges and tented camps. Each was great.
Amir says we now have to come back right after the rainy season because everything is so different then. And I have no doubt we will. When we do we will use Brian and Amir again.
