BIG 5 Safari - Tanzania / Zanzibar
5/5

One of our best holidays to-date. Was a little nervous at first due to booking communications (a little different to booking with your local Travel Agent), but when we arrived Emanuel (our safari driver/guide) was there waiting and ready to start our safari in Tarangire, Lake Manyara, The Serengeti, Ngorongoro Reserve & Crater. Quite a few of our friends and clients have recently been on Safari and they have commented on our Facebook photos, jealous of the quantity of wildlife we saw and great photos we were able to take. I know everyone says their driver was excellent, but by observing other drivers when the Safari Landcruisers congregate around an attraction or at the camps our driver was well suited to us: friendly, professional, knowledgable, punctual, patient and spoke good English. After an excellent Safari we spent 3 nights in Zanzibar. We did not find Zanzibar as friendly as the locals we met on Safari and were a little bored after our full-on 5 day Safari. Only one negative ...our transfer on arrival at Zanzibar was late and we got attacked by the taxi vultures.

Eastern Team
5/5

I can't say enough positive things about Masoko Tours. They handled our team of fourteen US travelers, included both men and women, terrifically. Dealing with a trustworthy tour company on foreign travels is big with me! Masoko, located in Iringa, is operated by a young man named Maka Mwaisumbe. I found him to be reliable, honest and trustworthy. He did everything he promised for us and more. He has two exceptional drivers whose names are Roy & George (our safari drivers) and we meet another named Paris who assisted with non-safari travels. They interacted with our team on a personal level and we were well pleased with their services. Their safari trucks were comfortable, considering TZ road conditions. We saw lions, hippos, crocodiles, water buffalo, impalas, zebras, elephants, bamboos, warthogs and more. Maka was knowledgeable about animals and their native habitat. We also felt safe the entire time we were with Masoko. We plan to use their services again when our Team returns next January.

A fantastic tour
5/5

We have just returned to Europe after the trip of a lifetime to South Africa, some of it spent on safari with Ryan in the Kruger National Park. Ryan and his able assistant proved to be wonderful guides. Ryan's knowledge of African wildlife is excellent and we saw up close every species we could have wished for, large and small. We were a group of 6 and our every need was catered for in the sheer magnificence of the African bush. Ryan could not have pulled off a more charming, educational and spectacular trip for us. It was beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you Ryan and team! Your passion for Africa shines through and it is infectious. We will be back for more!

Knowledgable, Helpful, Responsive and Warm!
5/5

We are rather seasoned travelers, but have never been to Africa, let alone on Safari. We needed a relatively short Safari program during the busiest tourist season. Kirsten Wolley, our advisor, was wonderfully informed about options, listened closely to our requirements, and found us a fantastic experience at the Rhino Ridge park in Kwa Zulu. Everything from our financial to scheduling needs, our touring and food preferences, to travel insurance were promptly and well handled. And we had one of the best experiences of our lives, effortlessly!

Absolutely brilliant. One of the best holiday experiences of our lifes.
5/5

Going on Safari was a dream come true.Selous park was a fantastic choice and we cannot praise the organisation. guides, staff, cleanliness and comfort of the lodges, plus the excellent food, enough. The variety of Safaris we went on covered, the boat Safari, walking Safari and drive Safaris. All of them were special in their own way and the guides were experienced, and very informative. To see the Hippos, elephants, crocodiles, water buffalo, and various birds, while little more than a stones throw away, from the boat. Or visit the water hole to see the monkeys, Water buck, Zebras, and Wild boar while on the walking Safari.Photograph the lions on a kill, or the Giraffes keeping cool, while the Impala, Leopards and Hyenas are on the move, and taking in the wonderful scenery on the drive safari.

The adrenaline of excitement is there every day, and the Tanzanian people are great. The Selous Park staff are very professional and well trained, treating everyone with respect.
Both my wife and I would fully recommend this Safari. It brings together a mixture of ages and a nice atmosphere. To add to our holiday we then moved back to reality, with a stay in nearby Zanzibar which was also very enjoyable.

We enjoyed our safari so much thanks to Meru Slopes!
Jeffrey and his staff organized for us a nice tour, prices are very competitive and accommodations are very good. During camping days the food was always nice thanks to the cook. We recommend our exceptional guide, David , who is an expert in knowing animals and Savana habitat.
We were extremely satisfied. Highly recommended !!!

Safari with gorillas
5/5

I was travelling by myself and the moment I concluded to travel with this company I never regretted it. The lady from the office was very quick with reply and very detailed with explanations. I travelled in a safari bus and it was big and comfortable. The driver always careful and cheerful. For 9 days I visted gorillas and tree climbing lions. Also we visited chimpanse in forest and nice interesting boat ride in lake. I do not hesitate to suggest this company to another person

Very satisfying 3 day campingsafari in Serengeti and NC A with excellent stuff and equipment.
5/5

Very good and fast booking service, with easy communication over mobile and email and a good price.
Very good service, kind and gentle guide with good knowledge about everything which is important during a safari. Delicius food and good camping equipment.
The 3 day trip from Moshi to Serengeti and Ngorongoro was very impressive. We saw a lot of animals in a amazing landscape. Due to the short time, it was a lot of driving, but the time was used very intensive.

I would travel again with Mega Adventures.

PS. Renting a 4WD is also possible at the office in Moshi.

Awesome trip and very smooth organisation!
5/5

I recently did a tour with Arrive Africa Safaris for 5 nights/6 days, Edith from Africa Arrivals organised a guide/driver for me and everything went smoothly and I highly recommend them because of their professionalism, organisation and value for money.

Customer service - from the beginning to the end Edith from Arrive Africa Safaris has been very helpful, transparent with costs and she responds fast. I came up with a draft itinerary as I had s very tight time frame and budget but Edith was always very patient and informative with her responses.

The guide/driver - I had Moses as my guide as well as my driver for the week. Moses is very experienced and knowledgeable as he's been in the industry since 2000 and also has a very gentle and kind heart. Moses was always on time, gave clear briefings the night before and went beyond the call of his duty to get me pain killers as I slipped on a slippery rock while doing the gorilla trekking. For half of the trip I was in pain while sitting in the car and this trip involves quiet a bit of driving. I know Moses became extra careful while driving since I had my mini accident as he would drive over potholes on his side and get my side of the car on a smooth surface as much as possible.

Bonus - another reason why I highly recommend Moses is that he volunteered to take me to visit a local fish village. Most guides and drivers just want to tick off things on the itinerary list then go back to their accommodation and rest, but not Moses. Moses also took me to local restaurant to eat lunches to save money and would wait for me in his car for hours when I'm doing the chimps see trekking and the boat tour. Very reliable and understanding.

Value for money - from the very beginning I've told Edith that I have a very tight time frame and tight budget and I wanted to spend minimum money on things like accommodation, foods, extra staff members etc. so I found cheap accommodations myself, only eat one or two meals a day etc Edith was very accommodation with my requests as I know many other tour operators would just say no to me or tell me what I want to do is not possible or below their standards. But Edith was different, if she does say no she explains why so that I understand and come up with other options or compromises. If you have $2,000usd plus additional money for flight, you can easily have a really good time and do both gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, stay in nice places and still have money left over after a week of holidays in Uganda.

I had a great trip, Uganda is different to Tanzania, different to Rwanda (do you know that they speak French there?) and they have amazing trees and animals on the side of the roads, it's just so beautiful and full of surprises :) I hope you have s chance to visit Uganda one day :)
