Fabulous! Mid June is a great time of year to go, lush green in some parts, not so many tourists

Booked the 8 day best of the Serengeti tour with Lion King Adventures - highly recommend this tour & the company. Very professional, good communication, excellent service. Anna answered all our queries very promptly & ensured the payment arrangements were secure. Ossie was a fantastic guide, good company & knowledgeable; kept the van very clean. Lodges were all excellent. Visited 4 National parks - Lake Manyara, Tangarire, Serengeti & Ngongoro Crater - all different & good to see different landscapes with some different animals. If you're going on an African safari you can't beat Tanzania, go for at least 5 days & book with Lion King Adventures!

We can honestly say all of our experiences exceeded our expectations! We did a 10 day package incorporating 3 days in Zanzibar, we travelled with a variety of ages from young to old and all were accommodated. Food was great, again travelling with young picky children to vegetarians all preferences were met. Our driver ‘Ezeikel’ was very knowledgeable, respectful and delivered all of our requests. The accomodation could not be faulted....comfortable, safe and with all of the extras we needed after a big day . Booking this type of trip from another country with no direction but reviews, comes with risks, but it paid off because Tanzania Roadside Expeditions delivered over and above!

Amazing experience from the beginning to the ending of trip!

5/5

My first safari experience was in Kenya, an unforgettable 2 weeks that brought sightings of each one of the Big Five and to watch my only glimpse of lions and cheetah on a hunt!!

The journey began from Nairobi heading north to Samburu and went down to Sweetwater, Lake Naivasha and ended at Maasai Mara. We had a great safari with Joseph and Tony (2 group members, 2 cars). We saw a lot of beautiful animals during the 12 days. Cheetah, leopard, serval cat, hippos, hyenas, zebras, warthogs, dik-dik, giraffe, and many more you name it! Joseph & Tony are a well experienced guides with a very good knowledge of animals and Kenya. They are also a safe and reliable driver. They found a good alternative to the bad road to Masai Mara. Tony was a driver of my group, he literally knows everything about every single animal. It’s amazing when he foreseeing the behavior patten of animals and it turned out exactly like what he told - we all learned so much from him.

This was by far our best experience. It exceeded our expectations and we were so lucky with what we saw. If I was to do a safari again it would definitely be in the Masai Mara and definitely with Joseph & Tony and Nature's Wonderland Company!

Good Job!!

Nothing Beats The Kruger
Overall rating
5/5

The Kruger National park offers the best bushveld experience. We stayed in Pretoriuskop with scenic drives towards Skukuza and picnics overlooking the Sabie river. We saw many elephant, they are abundant in the area, we also spotted cheetah on a game drive early morning. July is a great time to visit the Kruger as it is mild during the day, and even though it can get chilly at night. It s great to sit around the campfire under the stars to keep you warm. If on a budget it is best to self cater either camping or in a chalet. The Kruger is definitely a place to get closer to nature and experience the bushveld in all its glory.

ONGAIPE

we are donna and larry kaplan, adventure travelers since the late 60s, who are reaping what we sowed by living very simply for many years. we now have the cash to book these pricey tours.

safaribookings.com was a great site to find. we wanted a week in etosha and nothing more. wild wind safaris was the only one doing a week in etosha so i reached out to them. david at wild wind handled our correspondence and booking and monitored our tour the entire week. you could not ask for a better person to do that for you. he was efficient, knowledgeable, professional and prompt with his responses. he tweaked wild wind's tour to provide us with our week in etosha. david delivered in everything he promised including providing a 40 gallon water tank to refill our reusable liters.

come on people. stop using single use plastic water bottles. it is immoral.

a tour organizer is crucial but the guide/driver is the main part of the tour. a great guide means a tour could be great. a so-so guide can really dim the luster. i hope namibians continue to pursue the guiding profession. i hope tour organizers compensate them well.

our guide was abel kuyonisa and we could not have asked for more. all the adjectives i used for david apply to abel. he was efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. abel was always early and always courteous to all we encountered. abel truly cares about his clients. he is personable and a good story teller. we highly recommend abel to guide you anywhere in namibia and beyond.

sincerely,

larry kaplan
