Worthy experience
My best friend and I booked a Pilensberg day-trip via GetYourGuide 3 days before going, for 128€ per person.
Our pick up spot and time was at the @SandtonHotel at 6:00 AM. We didn’t stay at the hotel, so we had to choose it as a common pick up spot. We arrived at 5:56 and were told by the reception that the driver came at 5:45 and left a couple of minutes later. The reception had to contact the driver’s boss on our behalf so he could return to pick us up… We then enjoyed an eventless ride to a gas station after 1h for a break and finally to the reserve.
The morning “game” was good, it lasted close to 3 hours. We saw hippos, rhinos, elephants, zebras but no cats.
Lunch was good, and part of the package. Beef burger + a soda, it was good and served in a nice spot on the reserve.
The afternoon “game” was more disappointing, as it only lasted 1h25min, and for a long while, animals were hidden. We ended up seeing the same animals as in the morning + a giraffe up close. Still no cats.
Although nobody can control animals’ behaviors, the afternoon game felt rushed. I wish it lasted longer to increase chances to see rarer animals and enjoy the nature.
Desmond was a great guide, really funny and knowledgeable, with whom we felt in good hands.

Do not miss it
The overall trip was a great experience. The tour operator Tsehaynew, although he was not at tge trip, he well organized everything and was following up the group closely. He responded immediately to my text, questions, requests for info.
Tge lalibea tour guide, Wendy, he was unbelievable... he had knowledge of history and religion.
Addis, is not so interesting place. 2 days are enough. Danakil Depression is AMAZING place to visit.
National museum is closed due to renovation.
Note: Although you can pay with USDs or EURs, currently, exchanging currencies into USDs or EUR is not legal / ot allowed in Ethiopia, even in banks.

Very good with the big five.
We did a multi-day safari visiting the parks of Nairobi, Samburu, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara.
We were able to enjoy the diversity of habitats and species. Edward was our driver. He put a lot of effort into the search for and approaches to wildlife. We observed more than 190 species of birds during the trip. Wildsasa safaris are very good working with the big five species. They are upgrading birding and photography experiences for next safaris.

Reliable, professional and fun
Had a great 2 day trip with Leonard, Windhoek to Sossosvlei to Walvis Bay to Swakopmund and back to Windhoek.
Leonard was absolutely great! Friendly and reliable and with good chat almost like going with a friend. He is professional and knowledgeable and also a quick Namibian sand dune climber (equivalent to a Swiss mountain goat). Thanks for great days I will recommend you to friends.

This was our spectacular safari in Kenya.
Our 7-day safari in Kenya was everything we had dreamed of and more. We started in Amboseli, where the sight of elephants and giraffes. Collins our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and ensured we had the best possible experience. We were lucky to see lions, cheetahs, and even a leopard during our time there. We saw an incredible range of animals so close. The whole trip was seamless, with comfortable lodgings and delicious meals. Namnyak Safaris made sure everything was perfect!

Boteti River 4 day Okavango experience
Very well arranged. Just didn't realise the roads in the area were so bad, and that we would be on the back of a game viewing vehicle for many hours a day, just travelling to the Okavango. By the end of the day we were physically shattered from the drive. Else, everything was professionally arranaged and would definitely do it again if the travel on the long days were to be a bit more comfortable.

Nice and easy, with good planning
Very nice «package» where everything is planned for you. Very nice length, and perfect because you are never bored because the days are full of activities already planned for you.

Great beauty
The biggest take-away for us from our trip to Tanzania is that the country is huge, and so are the parks. There is a lot of driving to get to your destinations, and once inside the parks, the roads are difficult, long, dusty, and bumpy. If the roads are properly and regularly graded, the experience would have been a 5/5 stars!
Other than that, the people are very friendly, kind, and happy. The food is amazing!
Our Tanzania experience is truly unforgettable!!

First time safari!
My first time to go on a safari so I flew to Kruger National Park from Cape Town via Johannesburg. I wanted to see and experience a "real" safari and I greatly enjoyed the experience. I would recommend everyone to at least try this once in your life, you will not regret it. Kruger National Park lived up to its hype. No need to splurge on luxury accommodations, inside the park, the safari is the same for everyone. "Hunting" the wild animals lets you enjoy the real Africa.

Great look at beautiful Namibia
Desert Africa Safaris put together a comprehensive and varied two-week tour of Namibia for us combining travel by small plane as well as self-drive. We were very pleased with our program and the selection of locations and lodges.
