Malaria Risk

High risk throughout most of the country, except for Volcanoes and Nyungwe National Parks where the risk is low due to the high altitude. Akagera National Park and the Lake Kivu area are particularly high-risk zones. The highest risk of transmission is during the Wet season (October to May).
