Serengeti is beautiful to visit but it is quite large. So to spot animals you need time or you need to be lucky. Game drives are a bit tiring but it is all worth it. I would definitely come back and stay more. Wildlife is enchanting.

Wildlife.Thats left right and center in serengeti. You will see the big five and much more. After the second day , you are not satisfied with a lion but you want to see a lion fighting an elephant and serengeti does not disappoint.

Number 1 Spot Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park is no doubt was truly a different experience.
A hidden paradise. It is such an amazing place that makes you want to leave the civilised world for good.
We stayed at Lamai Serengeti Lodge for 4 days and it was very near Serengeti National Park.
Everyday I wish there is no ending. The Game viewing at the park is endless. I saw the migration of wildebeest & Zebras, different cats, group of Elephants, Group of Giraffes, Spotted Rhinos (Please let's save them!), beautiful birds, Thomson's gazelle, group of Hippopotamus & Crocodiles, etc.

After Serengeti National Park we headed to Ngorongoro National Park for another 4 days.
Ngorongoro is beautiful and has its own characteristics but Serengeti is even more beautiful because it gives you the real touch of WILD AFRICAN SAFARI.

First week of July 2015. It was the best time for us, not so crowded, temperature is fantastic, not so dusty, bushes not that tall and you can easily spot the animals. We also had an unforgettable close encounter with 3 male lions while our car didn't have any window at all ( It was terrifying & fun experience).

We would like to praise our Guide and Lamai Serengeti Staff for providing us an unforgettable vacation in Serengeti.
To our Guide, he was extremely knowledgeable and always very polite and we learnt a lot from him. He is one of the best guide we've ever seen. I think he is a very valuable asset to Nomad Tanzania Company

Serengeti is awesome, but...

I've always had a dream of going on a safari in Africa. In 2014 I finally had the chance to do so, and I got to spend three days in Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

First of all, Serengeti is huge. Much bigger than I expected. We had to drive for a while to even get there, and when we got there, we drove more. And more. And more. Searching for wildlife. I thought the animal density would be bigger than it was, but was actually surprised in a positive way to find out it wasn't. Didn't want to think I was in a zoo either.

The first animal we spotted was actually the animal we didn't expect to see; a leopard. Sitting there, on his own, in the middle of the plain, surrounded by 20-30 safari vehicles. This is probably the thing that "ruins" the safari experience the most; all the people that surrounds the animals at all times, specially if you spot one of the great 5.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime-experience to get the chance to sleep in a tent in the middle of the Serengeti. We could hear the animals make noises not very far away, and I just waited for a lion or a hyena to come over an knock on my tent door. Actually, in Ngorongoro, I had to get through a flock of zebras to get to the toilet. Not something you get to do everyday!

What you have to do while you're in Serengeti is to take a hot air balloon ride. You start early in the morning, mayube 4 am, and get to see the sunrise from up in the air while the animals below you just look at you. It is a truly amazing experience!

All in all; safari is a great experience. I spotted every animal I wanted to see, except from the cheetah.

Maybe next time. I'm not done with Africa. Not at all.

It was quite a wildlife experience with lots of animals to see in their natural environment and also their natural instincts. Food and lodging quality was of a high standard. Transportation and guide was very good

I'm not sure what needs to be said about the Serengeti - it is just an incredible part of our planet! The vastness of the Serengeti plains is just something that must be seen to appreciate. Pictures and videos don't do it justice. We saw some fantastic things - from a lioness coming out of water and stalking a herd of Zebra, to a female cougar and 3 cubs eating the remains of an Impala that had been killed just a few moments before we arrived. While we weren't able to see a lot of the migration (we arrived as the larger herds were already a bit too far north to see), we did see a lot of wildebeest and zebra migrating, and overall were very happy with the wildlife we were able to see. The amount of lions we saw far exceeded our expectations - we probably saw 5 or 6 mating couples, and several prides.

once is not enough!!

After visiting South African private game in 2013, we decided to go for the top ... and the difference is evident!! Documentary scene every single day! we did not experience a kill but we saw a total of 50 lions, 2 leopards and 2 cheethas in our 3 game drive .. plus all the other animals which at the end were "almost" boring .. but never so because seeing 50 elephants or 200 zebras or 100 buffalos together is something that we did not see in South African private game ... they simply do have that many!
we did the North Parks of Tanzania in 5 days but next time we will spend the Whole time in Serengeti .. trying to catch the Migration.
Amazing Amazing Amazing!!

Nature at its best!

This was our first safari. We did first Lake Manyara, then Serengeti, and finally Ngorongoro. I think this is the best sequence.
Serengeti is huge! Distances are long, so if you are expecting a zoo-like experience with an animal at any corner, you will be disappointed. We spent two full days and spotted lots of lions, zebras, wildebeests, antilopes, elephants, buffalos, ... No rhinos, but I don't think they are present in the Serengeti. On top of that the scenery ("Serengeti" means "large plains" in Swahili) is absolutely wonderful. Spotting a lion atop a "kopje" is unforgettable!
More crowded than Lake Manyara, but much, much less than Ngorongoro.

Wow- it really is fantastic. I only knocked the birding because, like Ngorongoro, it takes a lot of effort to go birding here if you really want to rack up the species. But there are fantastic birds like bustards, Secretarybirds, zillions of eagles and storks, etc.

A well maintained park with teeming wildlife. Roads are very rough and dusty. Toilets and lunch areas well maintained and clean . No off road allowed so areas are in good condition. Great weather.
