We did not see all the big-5 but are happy with what we saw. Very scenic and the whole place with its unpaved roads has been kept as pristine as possible. Tanzania has done a superb job in maintaining these national treasures.

Amazing Place to visit in Dry season, we managed to see wildebeest migration in Northern Serengeti it was wonderful time to see hundreds to wildebeest risking their life to cross the river while Crocodiles are on the base waiting any one will stack at the middle. We saw all big five animals except Rhino who will see in Ngorongoro Crater during our Safari

It was amazing for sure, you never regret to do a tour in Serengeti.

Spectacular beauty - especially the landscapes. Tent glamping is amazing. And saw the migration. Wow

We spent 4 days in the central part of Serengeti, and were rewarded with a number of great elephant and lion sightings. We also saw cheetahs a couple of times, but I would never say that seeing them is 'common'. Leopard is much harder, we did see twice, but no quality sightings.
The park is overrun by cars and tourists, so the bush vibe is gone as soon as a cat shows up - once we counted 40+ cars at a leopard sighting. Picnic sites and toliets are not well maintained especially compared to parks in South Africa e.g. Kruger NP. Roads are in horrible condition, on the day we left the park we saw 4 cars with various issues (broken axle, tire puncture, etc.). They are so bumpy that it is guaranteed that your lower back will hurt at the end of the trip.
It also costs a fortune to visit the park, and we felt paying 800 USD per day was too steep for it compared to South Africa, where you can have a nice time for about 250 USD per day in the Kruger.
All in all, it is fabulous how easily you can see lions every day around Seronera, but leopard is rare, and the tourists hordes are quite annoying sometimes. And it was so dusty!

Serengeti is amazing, especially since we saw wildebeest migration with thousands of wildebeest, including babies. Serengeti is vast so one needs to be in safari vehicle from early morning till dusk to take advantage of seeing the animals that are spread over this vast area.

We drove ourselves, no guide. We planned the whole day to be close to the river not far from the entrance of Ndabaka Gate (West gate). We wanted to relax and observe and not spend the day driving and trying to "max out". We try to observe a little thoroughly instead of a lot superficially. We saw lions on a kill, hippos playing in the river, and watched crocodile cruise the River while we ate lunch. On the way out we parked for on the road for more than a half hour watching elephants destroy a tree close to us. No traffic disturbed us. The grass was tall making viewing of some animals difficult. We saw plenty in spite of that and had a nice day. Everyone we met (park employees, guides, visitors) were friendly and we shared information readily.
