Trully unforgettable experience

In February 2017 I took part in 4 days long safari starting in Tarangire National Park with driver Frederick Julius. This was like a delicious starter before the proper feast started. Famous Serengeti about which I have read so much and longed to go for a very long time lived up to all my expectations. The abundance of wildlife was overwhelming and the scenery stunning, especially at dawn with the sunrise above the baobabs. During two days in Serengeti we have managed to see all BIG FIVE and probably every animal, which lives there. Mating lions, cheetahs tearing the antelope or leopard climbing down the tree. I can’t even remember how many times we had to stop to let the herd of elephants to pass the road. Zebras running in front of the car, hippos bathing in ponds or giraffes nibbling on the high trees leaves.
We were very lucky with the weather, as it was sunny for the whole length of the safari. The accommodation was basic, but comfortable enough and personally in national park I would rather stay in tent than in the lodge, food was always freshly cooked for our dinners and once for our lunch as well.
It was mostly thanks to our guide Frederick ( + 255 753 433 313) that our safari turned out to be such a success. He was knowledgeable, highly professional and extremely patient, he always made sure that all of us had enough time to take photos or just admire and enjoy the scenery, so we never felt rushed.
Pleasant person to be with (it’s crucial as you spend most of the day in the car with your guide) with sense of humor and good English, he should also be praised for his considerate and careful driving.
There were so many memorable moments during our safari, probably the one most engraved in my memory was a wildbeest giving a birth. The dramatic events followed: hyenas trying to attack the newborn, the wildbeests heroic defence and glorious victory.

Amazing adventure in Tanzania

As part of a Tanzanian safari, I spent 2 days/nights in Serengeti National Park. Our stay at Sopa Lodge Serengeti was terrific. The rooms are very large and comfortable. The staff is very accommodating.

The wildlife viewing in the park was excellent. We saw many lions, a leopard, cheetahs, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, impala, warthogs and birds. If you have the opportunity, do take a hot air balloon ride. It was the highlight of my trip. Viewing thousands of zebras and wildebeests as well as hippos, warthogs, topi, impala from the air was a once in a lifetime experience and not to be missed.

Do Serengeti and forget the rest !!!

We did Serengeti after we did Masai Marah.I had a lot of expectations from Masai Marah but it could have been better. We were seeing a million of Wildebeest and strangely there were dead Wildebeest in every corner of the Park.It was an indication that many which had migrated from serengeti have died here said the guide! It meant the carnivores are well fed.Our chances of seeing kill sequences was not great !But we did shoot a failed hunt by two lionesses at mara and i missed the Croc pulling down a baby Zebra during the famous river crossing as my VideoCamera was focussed with full zoom on another Zebra which was actually supposed to be gobbled up!!

Then comes Serengeti! The Wildlife doesnt hit your face like Masai Marah but there are many many cats in central serengeti. The park was crowded. We shot 9 Hunt sequences in 4 days. All failures:(One was so close-" i could have caught that Zebra" but the teenage male lion with a messy mane made a mess of it:P .In the end again bad luck struck us.There was apparently a Topi which was sleeping while standing (Topis sleep in standing position, they startle like us humans from sleep and start running!)This Topi was taken down by a group of lionesses in a swift pace .We arrived 3 seconds late on the scene :( Serengeti was a beautiful experience but we were unlucky ...Terribly unlucky and stupid of me with my camera .I had to bear some frustration from my better half as i missed the shot were the Zebra was gobbled by the croc in Mara !

Serengeti is the crown jewel of Tanzania's safaris. Vast rolling plains. Great photography. All manner of wildlife and birds. Ngorongoro gets close, and you will actually have an easier time encountering wildlife in Ngorongoro simply because of the ecological density, but nothing compares to your first sunset in the Serengeti as you come across a family of elephants. Magical.

In my opinion this is the grandest of all parks. It is huge and contains all the big cats and many smaller ones. Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs are all here. The scenery can be awesome with hills and vast savannahs. I am about to make my 10th visit to the Serengeti. I have been on 25 safaris and the Serengeti is my favorite. It changes with the seasons and the Wildebeest and Zebras are in a perpetual migration year round. Accommodations are diverse and outstanding.

The greatest wildlife show on earth

Serengeti National Park is the crown jewel of all major national parks in Africa. Nowadays you will find many parks, conservation areas and private sanctiaries throughout Africa attempting to lure you to see "Wild Africa". But there is nothing compared to the original Serengeti. Serengeti has been around since the dawn of time and it was a national park hosting the greatest wildebeest migration in Africa long before any other parks in Africa even knew what Safari Tourism was. If you want to experience wild life at its raw natural self in the original form then you must go and see Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.

When I think of Africa, you think of the Serengeti. Endless plains with a huge number of animals. Due to the presence of preys, there are many predators. We were there four days and lions, cheetah, leopard, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, ostriches, hyenas, warthogs, mongoose and many species of birds and antelopes seen. Best Nature place to be loved by all.
The Serengeti National Park is expanse of National Park that is so huge it cannot be comprehended. The Best place where people should go. I will tell everybody to go and visit there every year.
